Witch of Mintwood #3

Spell by Midnight

Rate this book
Lemmi and her friends are excited for an evening out at the Babbling Brook Barn, but while they're getting a tour, they come across a dead body! What’s even stranger is that there's no ghost, so Lemmi can't figure out who died or how. While she's hot on the case, she has other problems. First, there are a lot of strange women flooding Mintwood, and it soon becomes vitally important that Lemmi figure out who they are. On top of all that, her feelings about Jasper Wolf continue to confuse her. The fact that he seems just as confused himself is small comfort. Can Lemmi get to the bottom of her mystery? What will happen with Jasper? If all that wasn't enough, Paws was being . . . well, himself.

I like the serie very much but this book seemed rushed at the end. Like all the loose ends had to be solved in the last few pages. The biggest let down was the very small part about Evenlyn.

13 Mistakes found

Again, there were multiple mistakes in this book. Words left out, Wrong words, the letter “s” left off of some words. Please proofread before publishing

I liked the murder mystery, as usual, the book was not too bad and I can look past the grammar mistakes but I just found myself very frustrated with Lemmi because I don't think she was trying hard enough to practice her magic. Now I can understand she had other important things to do but I felt that she was avoiding the most important thing of all which is that she needs to accept she is a witch like really accept it and realize demanding answers like who is who, and what is what needs to be asked and also needs to be constantly practicing her magic so that she could protect herself and her friends and also help her solve the murders she is investigating. This is not my favorite book of the series the first two books were better and less frustrating.

Lemmi and her friends are back at it when a body is discovered in the silo of Jasper Wolf's newly renovated Babbling Brook Barn. Who is it? What happened to him and who are all the out-of-towners that have shown up in Mintwood?

This series is great! I am enjoying every minute reading it. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Another Adventure in Mintwood

Lemon and friends just can't seem to avoid running into trouble in Mint wood.

Thank goodness for Paws and the other ghosts to aid them in their murder investigations.

Why are people so stubborn

New to her witch craft Lemmi is reluctant to learn her craft. She always has an excuse why she won’t learn her spells or learn her responsibility as Witch of Mintwood. After being attacked but other witches she takes learning a little more seriously

Good

Slow progress, lots of the blind leading the blind and very little about the witches or magic. But it's interesting

Really good!

Yes, another engaging and interesting story. However The author still needs a better beta reader or editor or both. It could be better.

I actually enjoyed the mystery itself even though it was a little hard for me to follow the direction. I'm glad to see some progress has been made in the overall plot, but I look forward to finding out more! The characters are beginning to get slightly more interesting, though I definitely look forward to seeing how things with Jasper turn out!

Next Book?

Worst part of this book, coming to the end and realizing I'll have to wait for the next installment. The prospective boy friend a witch hunter? The aunt shows up and the place is rife with evil witches!
