New adventures for the Atrox Security clan starring Stryker...
"Stryker" Part I has many levels... it's quirky and humorous in the beginning, extremely steamy and hawt (Holy Moly!!!), goes on to pull on your heart strings emotionally and ends with a sense of wanting to discover more of what adventures lie ahead. A catchy story which attracts your attention and has you begging for more! J.C. Cliff is going to use her magic skills once again and pull out one hell of an adventure in book II of this duette... I'm sure! 5 Intriguing Stars for "Stryker"... can't wait to see where this story is going to lead us.

Good!
This was the first book that I've read by this author, but it certainly won't be the last. I actually look forward to carrying on this story in part 2. I liked the story. I liked the way it threw Stryker off kilter. It isn't often we read about a man that wouldn't be over joyed to be a in a w sex club for women. However, it was an interesting turn around.
This book leaves us wondering what is going to happen next, but thankfully the next book is out and I don't have to wait.
If you like a security romance series then I'd definitely recommend this to you.

I did receive Stryker as a Free ARC Copy in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed Stryker. Stryker has been working with his special forces team for several years now. All the men in the group love and care for each other. In Quinn I & II we meet the characters. You do not need to read the other books, as this can be read as a standalone and is set up to be a series by itself.
At the beginning of the book Stryker is having issues with his teammates. He doesn't want to go undercover. He doesn't want to touch anything. He's such a germ-a-pho. He's this big huge muscly / tattoo guy and he's struggling. I loved how he didn't want to go under cover as the massage / boy toy at the beginning. He was struggling with this so much.
When we see Val at the bar with her friend Celia she is doing good by just being out. At first when they were in the bar I thought her hubby had just left her. I didn't know he and the son were killed. :-(. No wonder she's had the worst year of her life as she says. Her friend Celia kinda seems ok. I think she's cares for Val but not really at the same time. I wonder what she's after. I kinda feel like Stryker's teammates what is she really after? Money?
Val seems to have her emotions all over the place. At the steamy spa she loves what Stryker is doing to her before and after she finds out who he really is. Then she lets her head and thoughts get the better of her. You can tell she wants to be with him but the past is stopping her.
I was surprised with Stryker's sister. She seems to have a world of problems but she does still seem positive about life. Striker does seem very protective of her. I'm glad to see that.

This was a roller-coaster of emotions. This is the second book I read from JC Cliff and I am so in love with her writing. The first one was Quinn and damn, that book still makes me smile.
Stryker’s story was very funny from the beginning and I was captivated from the first word. I like how the author knows exactly what to do to catch the reader’s attention. I love security teams and their work. They are though, intelligent, loyal and so sexy.
The female character is Valerie, Stryker’s only love and his biggest regret. She is beautiful and grew up as a very strong woman because her life was pure hell. Together, they form a gorgeous couple, also entertaining because they both have strong personalities and his protective side conflicts her stubbornness.
Another thing I like a lot about this book was that it was full of suspense. The author mixed action with hot scenes, there was a surprise at every corner and while reading it my body was constantly tensed. I was anxious to know how or if they will succeed to survive and be together or if they will lose each other on the way.
The biggest surprise came about the end of the book and I believe it was the thing that made it a perfect work. A small detail that gave their story an ideal happy ending.
I laughed reading this; also I had moments of sadness and felt sorry for them. But most of all I was happy, full of joy, because I had the opportunity to read a complex book, very well written. The things that remained with me from this book were loyalty and friendship, high responsibility and sacrifice for your team and family; the most important things in this life.

What a way to meet again!
Well,I just finished part one and I'm glad I have part two ready to go. Stryker and Val were an item 6years ago, but things blew up spectacularly!. Stryker is an undercover who met his love at a very inconvenient time. Which led to the break up. Years later, he's undercover again and they meet under rather intriguing circumstances. Looking forward to part two. I have a few theories about her hasty marriage to her deceased hubby (we don't know much about him yet), her deceased son, and her bestie, Celia. I'm going to see how Stryker gets his girl back!

Oh myyy! Loving this so much! Stryker has an undercover op that he doesn't want to go on and I could feel for him, that stress and anxiety. Oh but Val, I just love her. I was riding that emotional roller-coaster right along with her. The pain from her past, doubled by the loss of her husband a year prior. Throw in Stryker, his undercover work, secrets, pain and this loyal love for his sister and I'm on the edge of my seat craving more from part 2!

There is a lot going on in this story.
They both say hurtful stuff at times but he can get particularly cruel.
Not sure I like the Hero very much.
There are reasons for their actions and both made mistakes.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
There is an accusation of cheating in the past that gets resolved, things are not as they seemed.

I have loved Stryker in the last few books and I was excited that he was getting his story told. This part 1 is a short novella and sets up his and Valerie's story. Styker and Valerie have a second shot to get it right. Stryker can't believe she is his mission. This sets things up perfectly!

Stryker has a new assignment and he has to meet the target at a female club, giving a special kind of massage. I was laughing as his discomfort with this task as I pictured this big, tough guy being intimidated by giving an intimate massage to a woman. What he doesn’t expect is to find the one woman he loved, Valerie, on the table. This entire mission just took a complete shift and Stryker isn’t sure if it’s a good one. Valerie is stunned that on her first night out after an incredible tragedy, she finds herself face-to-face with the one man that stole and broke her heart. She hasn’t seen him in 6 years but that fire is still there. Stryker knocks her socks off and then she flees. What will happen as this mission unfolds? Stryker now has to get close to Valerie to find out if she is involved. Oh boy, so excited to dive into part 2.

Here we have Stryker's story and I'm absolutely loving it! JC Cliff manages yet again to weave another web of suspense and of course it's seriously steamy too!
As both Valerie and Stryker's stories gradually unfold it's truly heartbreaking, so much so that I need Part 2 now, oh and did I mention that I definitely need a trip to their spa ... omg !!
If I had to pick fault, personally I'd much rather part 1 & 2 were rolled into one book, I'm not a big fan of splitting the story. But would that stop me reading ? ....hell no! I absolutely loved Quinn and The Blyss Trilogy ...one of the best series I've read ...ever. I'll will be reading everything JC writes.
This book/part 1 is short, captivating and totally addictive, you'll end up reading it in one go, be warned there is a cliffhanger.

Alright I'm going to be totally honest here and admit that I had very high expectations for Ms.Cliff's newest book Stryker~Part one.
I said to myself...Can she really top The Blyss Trilogy (An amazing read btw! If you haven't read it then you've been living under a rock!)?
Can she blow me away like she did in Quinn? (Also an amazing read! Haven't read it? Read it!)
Let's just say any doubts (not that I had any! I mean have you read her work?!)that I may have had Ms.Cliff totally erased! Oh man did she ever! Holy hot balls man! The woman is a freaking genius! G-e-n-i-u-s!!!!
Stryker is a deliciously sexy,thrilling ride from beginning to end. It pulled me in and kept me in its claws until the last page. Was it worth it? Was it worth not doing laundry or cooking or cleaning because I was reading a hot page turner? Hell yes! Hell freaking yes!
Oh did I forget to mention it's a cliffhanger? Yeah it's a cliffy! Don't go nuts now! I mean come on! We all know she's THE queen of knock your socks off and make you wanna smack your mama cliffhangers!
(Please don't smack your mama! You're on your own if ya do! Hehe!)

OH what a ride this one is and leaves you begging for more!!! I was super excited for Stryker’s story and JC Cliff did not disappoint. The emotional turmoil that Stryker had to be going through in this story is just crazy. I love how Cliff also incorporates all the past players into this story and makes this series just that much more solid! I am very intrigued by the storyline that Cliff has going in this one and I am very curious about Valerie. She seems like a wild card that could go either way. Lots of secrets and a broken history make these two together just sizzle. Very much excited for the second part!
