All Marisol Lewis had ever wanted was a family, but her ex-husband back on Earth made sure that would never happen while they were together. Now? After waking up on an alien planet, she has a plan, and she's more determined than ever to see it through on her own.
Luca and Baelion are dragon shifters with a troubled past. Shunned by their own people, they now work for the Coalition Council taking rescue jobs that no one else can do. They manage to find Marisol when she gets abducted—but their rescue plans take a wrong turn, and they all end up stranded on a dangerous, quarantined planet.
Mari finds out the hard way that life often gets in the way of best-laid plans…and that dragon shifters most definitely get in the way of hers.
It's a good thing for her that dragons are naturally quite stubborn once they decide they want something—and they've decided she's theirs. - See more at: http://www.theromancereviews.com/view...
I live in British Columbia, Canada; I have all my life. I went to culinary school and studied Pastry Arts, working as a Pastry Chef in Vancouver for five years. But the commute into the city got to me and I had to change careers back to an office. I still work full time; I now work for a sporting goods wholesaler in accounting…which is where my twitchy creative side began to get restless…and as my Baba used to say, “Idle hands are the Devils playthings.” Or in my case, idle hands get me into all sorts of trouble; so I go a little bananas on the hobby side of things. I still love to cook and bake, I do a large amount of recipe creating and the boys at work certainly appreciate being sacrificed as taste testers. I am also a stress knitter, to the point that I had to open my own Etsy shop to unload some of the scarves I make. Realistically there’re only so many scarves a gal can make and keep for herself before people start to judge you…. I also paint when the muse hits me, mostly abstract in acrylics. I love to garden and grow things, have a weakness for all animals, and an un-natural obsession for making jam. I literally made 24 different kinds of jam last summer, it’s a bit of a problem….but there’s just so many different kinds you can create! Who am I to say no to see what Tiger’s Blood jam would taste like? (it’s strawberry, watermelon and coconut by the way….and it was AMAZEBALLS.) I’ve always had a love of reading, science fiction and paranormal genres have always fascinated me, so once I found myself addicted to romance novels it really only made sense that the sci fi romance genre drew me like a moth to a flame. I only started writing about a year ago, it took me a long time to get Sarah’s Crew to the point where I would let someone else read what I was writing, let alone send it into a publisher. But eventually I did and after one fairly nice rejection I moved on and found Siren. I’ve been so impressed at how supportive and helpful all the other Siren authors have been through this entire process, I’m a little on the shy side so the social media and marketing part of the writing process has been intimidating to say the least. My goal is to keep working on my writing skills and to hopefully improve with each book, and I hope that anyone who reads them enjoys the world that I’m trying to create!

Dragon Trap is the fifth book in the Collation Series. Whilst this is futuristic novel. There a lot that readers can relate to with her latest trio. A pair of sexy dragon shifters who are sent to rescue a human woman who may just be the answer to their mate problem. If she only got over the scars and hurt she is carrying from her past that has put off men. And Luca and Baelion got over the scars they carried from their shared past that lead them to this point. Estranged with most of their familes and working for the collation as rescue specialists. They never expect their latest mission would challenge them further then usual in many ways.
Two hot as hell dragon shifters may have one mission when they set to rescue Marisol. However it comes quickly but just an orindary mission when everything is on the line
Marsh had some clever ideas with this book. Despite the setting in the future. The minute I meet Marisol. There was a comradeship, the wants and needs could be any generation and any place. She wanted a child and after a dodgy ex I could understand why she want things simple. The boys were relatable despite their shifter abilities. They were survivors and struggled with that. They need some to care for them yet not given them the pity they were so over. It was the perfect balance given the things
I loved the Jurassic idea that the author had with this novel. Throwing them all in the deep end in different ways It was something different and unique. Marisol wanted to be in control after everything who would blame her given the past. It was fun watching her slip out of that mentality with out realising . Even though the boys were gentleman and asked instead of taking. I loved how this novel turned out.
I never expected picking up this book would of taken me on this creative adventure and I loved the imagination of the author that went into this novel. Whilst I have read some of this author’s work before this novel is definitely may favourite to date.
The action is intense and exciting. There’s an adorable little creature called a Gula that I love. Their romance is a gorgeous, sexy bundle of nerves! Many times, I found myself needing a cold shower. So hot! If you’re looking for sexy menage then stop right there and check out this dragon shifter gem!
Ok, I'll admit it, I'm a big time Sarah Marsh fan. So when I saw this book was up for review, I jumped on it faster than fleas on a dog. I actually have the whole series, but I haven't had the chance to read all of them yet, life, and blogdom has gotten crazy. They are all scheduled now I am very happy to say.
I love this series, it's a bit sci-fi, some shifter action, and a bunch of menage, mixed with some uber-dominant males. That's a great recipe for a book in my world. In this book, Marisol makes a decision that leads to her being kidnapped, yet again. Things aren't looking too good for her, but the Coalition decides to send out two of it's best search and rescue team members to get her.
Baelion and Luca are not only dragon shifters, but they are mates. (makes all of you mm lovers out there happy.) They have their demons they are contending with, especially Luka. They rescue Mari, but they still have to make it home off of an unforgiving planet. It also gives them time to get to know each other, but someone still has it out for their human.
This was a wonderful book by Sarah, and hopefully we get to see the series continue on for a long time! The book flowed along, the sex scenes were hot with great three-dimensional characters that you wanted to see together. Just loved it!
I have to say that I love all of Sarah Marsh book and this fifth book in Coalition Mates just keep getting better. Marisol has had many betrayal in her life from Earth and her Ex-Husband. There is only thing tha Marisol has always wanted in life is a child. She gets her wish as a surrogate for Councilor that needed a heir. When she is kidnapped and Coalition sends in Baelion and Luca. Luca and Baelion has there own demons they are fighting still. With the bond of mates they help each other. What happens when the 3 crash land on a planet that has been quarantine. Their journey to make it to shuttle brings them closer together, but can they overcome their fears and insecurity? High Recommend this book and series
4.5 stars: (review request submitted by the author for an honest critique)
First Marisol discovered her husband, Jordan, had a secret vasectomy. Then, she wakes up on a alien planet, abducted by slave traders. Most women probably would be curled up in a ball, crying for a way home (Earth). But Marisol isn't like most women. She decided to embrace the change and move forward with her plans to have a child. It involved signing a contract for donating her genetic material for a surrogate but, in the end, she would be able to afford the in-vitro treatments to birth her own offspring. Sounds pretty straightforward. No fuss, no muss. Oh, no, things definitely didn't go as smoothly as she hoped.
She was kidnapped AGAIN and this time landed herself on a dino inhabited planet where there were monkeys with poisonous bites.
Things did take an upswing for her though. She wasn't alone. She had two sexy men (dragon shifters) by her side. Her dragon rescuers used nature's materials to create her a nice saddle with seat belts for an easier and safer riding experience. Oh, lets not forget they gave her a thorough and pleasurable riding experience while in human form, too --- on more than one occasion. ;-)
So really, when people say things might look better with a change of scenery, I guess they are right. Marisol only needed to travel lightyears away from home to find her HEA.
I'd like to end this review with a few final, quick thoughts.
**Dino meat taste like chicken? Really, not surprised. :-)
**Mitch from How I Met Your Mother (episode, The Naked Man) was right -- The naked man move will work "two out of three times, guaranteed".... Poor Delegate Bromm, better luck next time. :-P
**14 month long pregnancy? Umm, pass!
Based off my quick three thoughts, I can't see how anyone could pass up this short story. Really, the entire series is a must read!
Marisol thought being kidnapped by aliens was the worst thing to happen in her life. Instead it was the beginning of the best. She has an opportunity to have the family she has always craved. Now if only she can find the courage to accept the gift fate has given her. Dragon Trap by Sarah Marsh is fifth in the Coalition Mates series. Marisol has decided to use her kidnapping to gain the children she wants. But when she finds herself kidnapped a second time, she may not survive the encounter. Can she trust her heart when rescue happens? Luca and Bae are pitied by their world so they have made a life among the stars. Their latest job may give them more than they ever hoped for…if they can only survive. I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to Ms. Marsh’s series. Marisol has blocked all access to her heart but depending on Luca and Bae for survival provide them with an opening. Both males are determined to make this gutsy female theirs. They will use whatever means necessary to obtain her heart as well as her trust. Ms. Marsh gave us a story with unexpected twists and turns, even as friendship and love blossom. I can’t wait to see who is next to find a successful mating in this series.
Wow! Loved this read!! Okay so first off this was my first Dragon shifter kind of read, and I was not disappointed at all. I not only was this around dragon shifters but also on alien planets!!! With that being said because this was my first dragon, and they were exactly how I would imagine Luca and Baelion were , very protective I love that but at the same time they're teasing playful. And I'm hoping this is not too much of a giveaway or anything but I also loved how they were opposite one hot one cold one fire when ice love that!!! Mari The human she was just kick ass independent stubborn gives off the I can take care of myself don't want to ask for help kind of girl. So these three together just heated up the pages, in more ways than one..
So if you love drinking shifters far far away planets alien species adventure passion heat fire then this is your book
This is the first sci-fi romance I've ever read, and I really enjoyed it! It was so good being able to read about another world, and one that was described so well. Marisol meets two hot tattooed hunks Baelion and Lucas, who are in fact dragon shifters, and come to her rescue. But she's not yet out on danger. The planet is full of dangerous creatures, and she's contracted to someone else. This book had laugh-out-loud humor, a great plot, and the sex scenes were HOT! Trust me, you will want Mari to hook up with Bae and Lucas. If you like erotica and haven't read sci-fi before, give this a chance, and open your mind to something new.
A truly great addition to the other coalition mates series I hope that Ms Marsh keeps writing this series I have read all of them more than once and this will be the same a really really wonderful book
