This is a soldier's story, from basic training to running a marathon, from studying first aid to prison, from boxing to close protection, to the SAS and hostage rescue, to Mi6. It is a very long and progressive story over many books.
I am an army veteran and this writer was also, you can tell as he captures the daily “soldier” experience. He skillfully captures and relates the camaraderie and ball busting that is 90% of being an infantryman in the bush or desert with no women or “refined” people around. A thoroughly enjoyable series. A must for all service infantry and some civies would enjoy it also.
