Tempest And The Warrior

Rate this book
Hurting and angry, Cy, a lone Zargonnii warrior spends years banished from a planet he loves. Home. The word eats his soul. Planet after planet he travels, but there is only one place for him. His ship crashes during a battle with a mind altering Angano alien, landing him on a desolate planet with a human female and her young son. Tempest is his ticket home. Cy knows if he brings her back to his leader and best friend Titus, who banished him, he will be welcomed. The plan was easy: a human female, her son, Angano blood, and an Angano enemy ship. Cy would be welcomed back with open arms. Right? What could go wrong? Everything.
Tempest and her son were abandoned three long years ago by a Tonan warrior, leaving her bitter and betrayed. When a massive alien lands and encourages her to go home with him she is eager to be away with her son from a planet promising only death, yet she is wary. Cy wants something from her, or needs something from her. Is it in her heart to risk another betrayal?

Born and raised in Ontario, C. L. Scholey developed her passion for writing through her love of reading books as a child. Her first book was contracted in Oct 2009 the very same month her first grand son was born. C. L. Scholey still lives in Ontario, in a rural community with her husband and daughter.

From the author:
Hello, I'm Connie! Now that we've met how about I tell you a little about me? I love to write, it's like having a super power.

I was born and raised in Ontario...yes I'm Canadian, no I don't live in an igloo, no I've never pet a polar bear, but I have run into a few black bears, seen wolves, moose, coyotes and I think there's a hundred pound squirrel in my attic.

I spend as much time as I can get away with looking for rocks in Bancroft. When I'm not in Bancroft I live in a small town, so people know me when they see me. Some ask me what I'm working on--some even ask me in a regular voice not a whisper.

I get bored easily, it's why one day I'll be working on assassins, the next Sci-fi, then Vikings, then vampires, then planning world domination--wait, what?

Moving on. I love animals and we have a dog, 120p mastiff. He's great with the kids and careful around them, but he'd run me over for a piece of bologna. Otherwise he loves us.

If you want to get to know me better join me on FB or twitter. Right now I need to change back into a mom, it's my best super power.

So exciting! Tempestuous!
Banished from his home world for unforgivable behaviors, Cyrus has been roaming the universe. Alone. He's had plenty of time to mull over his erroneous ways. Will he ever see his home again? Crash landing on a planet after a run-in with an Angano spaceship, he sees a woman and child under attack. Thus begins an extraordinary adventure; one you'll never forget!
This, the long-awaited 7th book in the "Unearthly World" series, is highly satisfying. Cyrus seems an unlikely hero, based on his past behaviors, but he's come a long way from the male who was barred from his planet. The heroine, Tempest, is completely devoted to her young son's care. She finds herself more and more intrigued by the unusual male who has rescued them.
All the cast of characters in this drama are well drawn, and, for the most part very likable. There's competition for our heroine (may the best male win!), extraordinary battles with the Angano enemy, confrontations with Zargonnii females, and a walk on the wild side with some young and talented children. Through it all is the growing love story of Cyrus and Tempest; a journey of discovery, appreciation and plenty of humor.
An outtake: “I was told they’ve been doing that since they were tiny.”
“Disappearing into thin air?”
“Yep.”
“That’s some skill.”
“I’d kinda like to show you my skills.”
It culminates in a hugely satisfying finish with an exceptional promise for the future of the Zargonnii, Castian, Tonan and human people. A must-read, especially for fans of sci-fi romance!

Hurray!!!

I was hoping a new addition to the series would happen! Loved Tempest and Cy. Their relationship was both amusing and horribly romantic. I love that Cy got a second chance too, I was sort of sad at his banishment but it turned out for the greater good. Also lovely to see the children of other characters play a big part and see more of the Zargonnii females.

On that note...will we ever see a human male and a female Zargonnii? Even as a short story? That would be incredible to read about haha.

Thanks again for continuing with such great stories. ❤❤

Love these Zargonni warriors!

I really enjoyed this new book in this series! The heroine is stranded on a hostile planet with her son by a Tonan warrior. Cy, a Zargonii warrior is banished from his home planet after injuring one of the females there during Holiday. He finds them on this planet when he battles an enemy Angono and crashes there. At first he just sees them as a way to get allowed back home, but as time passes he becomes more emotionally and physically involved with Tempest and fonder of Braylon (her son). The original Tonan warrior, Grey, comes back into the picture and decisions have to be made. Very good story!

The interesting worlds and attributes of the beings on the worlds visited intrigue. Some of the things I had issues with are the quickness in which Tempest allows others to go off with her son or that she goes off leaving her son knowing an enemy is circling. Also, the leap/fastness of the relationships. I get the gratitude and loneliness factor but, when other things come to light; how was she able to dismiss them so quickly with little struggle. (read the story and you'll understand....don't want to spoil it for you) Besides those factors the foray back into this world(s) was nice but, did not have me as invested as some of the other stories in this series.

Tempest and Cy

OMG, I just love the direction these books are going and I can't wait for more in this series. Tempest is a strong and beautiful woman who falls in love with a Zargonnii warrior Cy. I loved how it worked out for Cy who learned his lesson and excepted responsibility for his actions. He turned into a wonderful male with honor. I loved how Tempest and her son Blay interacted with each other and the love showed through. I really can't wait for the next in this series. Highly anticipated.

Entertaining

This book was fun and kept my attention. Cy and Temperance were believable mates and 'man cub' was adorable. The author left me feeling there were many twists and turns to keep me entertained in future stories.

Loved it

Loved Cy and Tempest"s story. It took Cy years to realized he and he alone is responsible for his exile. Finding Tempest and her son gives Cy a long with the Angano give Cy the bargaining chip he needs to return home. Along the way his paternal feeling come out for Braydon. The time he spends with Tempest he begins to understand what the Zargannii warriors who have human mates feel.
Things become more complicated when Grey, the Tonian warrior, who had claimed Tempest and Braydon comes back into their lives. When the Angano attack, it takes them all to survive. Cy gets help for his new family from Cobra and Titus.
Great addition to the series. Loved seeing how past characters are doing, their children growing. Love Cobra, so always happy to see him. Can't wait for the next book!

Great addition to the line

Wow what a great addition. Brought to completion the the story of Cy and what happen to him. Leaves room for more great stories but not a cliffhanger. Can't wait until her next story. Well worth the price. I enjoyed it immensely.

I really loved the start of this book, with Cy discovering himself as he discovers Tempest. I especially enjoyed his growing relationship with Braylon and how both relationships affect his chances and then his ability to get himself home. A good, strong story in a fun series.
