Alas, the third and final book of my favorite Greek myth. My heart!! Anyway, Aphrodite is determined to end Psyche and at this point she has become relentless in her pursuit, but Psyche had the drive to get back to her soulmate.

Eros and Psyche are the literal personifications of heart and soul. You feel their heartache, their pain, their desire to be together, even while staring death in the face. Eros really turned himself around. He’s no longer this irresponsible, nonchalant mischievous god. He fully understands the power of his arrows now that he has fallen in love. He understands the power of love and why it is so important to have it. He becomes this passionate, devoted god who is willing to give up his godhood, even his life, to ensure Psyche’s happiness.

I almost wept when I got to the last page, I am so happy those two have their happily ever and you see their little babe following her father’s footsteps! It’s...wow! I’m in awe of the storytelling, the multidimensional characters. Jendela did few what very few authors can do and I applaud you!!
