Since the release of her 2004 debut novel A Gangster’s Girl, Essence Magazine best selling author Chunichi Knott has gone on to pen three additional best selling novels, Married To The Game, The Naked Truth and Return of A Gangster’s Girl.
With more than a half of a million books in print and on the heels of her fifth novel, California Connection, Chunichi’s talent as a writer, combined with her consistent and successful track record speaks for itself.
In addition to her hard work and relentless drive, Chunichi’s rise to the top of the literary world can easily be attributed to the fact that she has lived through the same fast lifestyle of sex, money, drugs, cars, and designer clothes, that she writes about in her books.
The former quiet southern girl from Alabama had her life transformed when she moved to Virginia Beach in her late teens. Dubbed the Urban Diva of literature because of her striking beauty, Chunichi’s stunning looks and Scorpio sex appeal was evident since her teenage years. And she instantly became a magnet for attracting ballers who elevated her social status while introducing her to an intoxicating high-end lifestyle.
That lifestyle transformed the sexy seductress into a gun toting Bonnie who was trained to fire. Chunichi’s fast paced lifestyle soon began to mimic that of a vixen and it included stints as a highly sought after local celebrity as well as her being the spoiled female darling of several NBA and NFL athletes.
Consequently as Chunichi matured, she decided to make a change in the way she was living. Never forgetting her past but making sure to leave the fast life behind, Chunichi went on to pursue and attain her degree in Nursing, while simultaneously putting her real life experiences on paper.
Now a reserved, mysterious beauty, the Urban Diva moves like anthrax, killing the literary scene with books that are sure to keep her on top of the major best seller’s list for years to come.

The plot of Married To The Game was, admittedly, more confusing than A Gangster's Girl, but it was also more in-depth. Ranging from our old main character, Ceazia, and her deceased boyfriend's brother, Snake, who is searching for the murderer of his brother and has his suspicions, all the way to brand-new characters that make the story more interesting, but more heartbreaking as well. Because while reading this story you know that many people live like this.

A Gangster's Girl and Married To The Game are equally good, but read A Gangster's Girl first, otherwise you will get lost reading Married To The Game.

I read the book in one day because I was really trying to see where it was going it was really all over the place. I didn't met the standards of the first book. Also I didn't like the way the book ended ceazia is around the city doing dirty and she can't be touched it seems I want her killed so we can put this series to rest!

All I can say is wow! Seems like everyone had a hidden agenda and unfortunately people were caught in the crossfire. This book is the second in the series and Ceazia is back with a bag full of tricks. This book picks up where the first one leaves off and one thing is for certain Ceazia spins a web and everyone is caught.

This was a good book from where the first book left off. I read the books out of order without realizing it. This was a great continuation of the story. I don't understand what led her to still get involved with the brother and nephew of her former lover but overall it was still a good read.

Married to the Game

Yo, this was one great book and a thrill seeker all the way through. Street smarts, arrogance, night life, and gutter at its finest...

Good read
Money Hungry
Slightly insecure divas.....
What a big slap in the face C, did everything for Vegas then once she killed him she had to go to shaking her ass & sleeping around for cash... she’s shiesty asf for keeping it in the family .... her character really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Poor Gina :( she was wrong for cheating but I still felt bad for ass.... Bj came off as a mini Ceazia.... Snake was really a Snake.... I wish his guilt for doing certain shit would’ve ate his ass up... why have it all and still go after a drug dealer and his nephew Danielle really dumb..... it’s like all the women in this book were bloodhounds after the money .... if you got a good record , a car , and determination why not just get your own money. C is just a black widow if a movie comes out here’s the cast
Ceazia Lauren London / or Golden Brooks
Snake / 50 cent
Duke / August alsina
Ray Ray / Trevor Jackson
Bear / Tony Yayo
Danielle / Lulu Simmons
Gina / Justine Skye or Seven Streeter
Bj / Logan Browning

The theme of this book would probably be more towards Dont go looking for trouble. I think this theme fits because the entire time the main character looks for his brothers killer and in the end it doesn't turn out good for him. Over all this book was about many different characters that had some kind of connection to the main character. There were alot of situations that could be related to like early pregnancy, depression, friendships, family, loyalty, violence, and drugs. Sometimes what we read are things that we don't have to go through but is a reality for others and thats what this book shows you. I really enjoyed this book because it talks about real situations that exist in the real world. It doesn't sugar code or substitute anything. I liked the fact that it was very ironic and didn't end the way I thought it would.

Chunichi has a book that you gotta read two times. I had to go back, because even though it's crazy ghetto fiction, I love how it seems so real. Straight gangsta madness! Now I gotta find time to get the other part of this story read. What did I miss, yall? Thanks Chunichi!

This book was very good...it was truely a tale of sex, lies and revenge. i loved this book because the way it was put together. The way the story ended at the end wit duke, snake, bear, and ceazia was a little sad to me. other than that i think chunichi is a good author.
