This was a good set. There was romance, but also plenty of suspense with twists and turns. I enjoyed it and would recommend.

Sam's a private investigator in NYC, who's seen a lot of gang violence during his days while working with his closest friend & contact at NYPD, Officer James. While breaking up an underground speakeasy, they discover that the Read Hearts, an old gang is back & is using female boxers to attract more clientele. Soon 2 of these boxers are found dead, Sam realizes he's got a hard battle ahead when he asks Cassandra. who's a black boxer for help & falls in love with her. They struggle with racism, even from his friend, James. They also discover dirty cops & everything that goes with underground speakeasies.
