He said I was the strong one, a survivor, but he has no idea all I’ve had to do to survive since I saw him last.

While it hurts losing the connection we used to share when our eyes locked and we could read each others’ souls, all that fades away when I hold her, kiss her, see her entire body light up with her laughter… or bloom with ecstasy when I make her come.
I still see her soul.

“I did have you... For a little while you were mine again.”

"To me she is the goal. She's all I want."

"Good people don't do what I've done. When life turns to shit, good people rise up and make noble choices. They don't make deals with the devil and put their loved ones in danger"
"I did have you," I whisper to the air. "For a little while you were mine again." It was only a moment, but I believe it with all my heart."

"I won't give her up without a fight…maybe I can take what Blix intended for evil and turn it into what I've always wanted."

"I fell in love and my eyes were closed, so I stayed there. Now my heart’s eyes have been opened, and I see everything worth seeing."
"Yes, he was playful, but he was also focused, even then. He hid a seriousness that only I saw.
Now he’s one of the king’s elite guards, and I’ve forfeited the right to even dream about him.
Only I do dream about him. I never stopped."
At once he moves so close our noses touch. “Logan!” I squeal, pulling back. He catches me.
“I want you to see me.” His voice squeezes my chest, and this time my eyes do mist.
“I see you,” I whisper.
“I’m so dirty.”
“You came clean.” Our voices are quiet. We’re in this intimate space.
“I did bad things.”
“You’ll never do them again.”
“It’s too late. The game has already started.”
