Formula story
Quick mindless read. No real passion, just telling a rescue story. How on earth a guy with a gunshot wound that goes right thru him does not need to go to the hospital is the biggest mystery of this story.

Wow, this book was awesome! It had so much "meat" with well developed characters inside that you couldn't put it down once you started, because you want to see what happens next.
Julia's life's in danger after seeing her friend being murdered and then being betrayed by the marshal who's suppose to protect her. She finds herself asking Justin, who was a friend of the marshal who died while protecting her, to stay on his ranch. At first Justin, who's an ex solder. is not keen on having Julia on his ranch, but decides he'll help keeping her safe from the people searching for her. While they both feel an attraction towards each other, Justin maintain his distance from her while fighting his own demons. However when Julia gets kidnapped, he jumps into action to save her & is willing to do anything to bring her back safely.

5.0 "Love Soldiers" Stars!
I so glad I picked up this book, but so angry at myself that I finished it so fast. I finished it in 3 hours, 3 freaking hours, it was that good. the story was interesting and the characters were real for me, I felt like I knew them.

Great short story
Such a great little story, I fell right into it as soon as I stated reading it. I wish it were longer. The only negative I would say is i wish there was more of a romantic build up. The couple kinda went from not to hot too fast.

Enjoyed!
I enjoyed this book. The story was great--full of wonderful characters, great storyline, action, suspense, romance, and with HEA ending.

I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This book was so compelling. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. The plot and characters were so well developed. I just loved Justin and Julia. Having duel POVs was a big plus. As a reader, I felt like I was right in the middle of the story.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes action with their romance.

Fun and Fast
I love the Mafia genre of romance books. This is by an author whom I've read before and was familiar with her writing style. I loved the action and unexpected twists and turns. For a quick book, the characters were developed enough. I read this book thru Kindle Unlimited program. This was a fun escape from reality.

Safe harbor
I really enjoyed reading this story, it shows some of the darkness that is out there for people like Marconi deals in. But through it all the good guys prevailed. Can't wait to see what is next.

A short but enjoyable romantic suspense.The plot is interesting and I liked the characters. I would have liked a little bit more, but given the length I enjoyed it. Will be reading more from this author!

Julia Dennings was a friend to Shanae Hammersmith as they worked together at a nightclub. Shanae met Raze Marconi, an Italian mobster at the club and became close. Julia's friend figured out and obtained vital information on The mafia operation and stop seeing him but he found out about the flash drive containing the vital information and seek Shanae to retrieve it along with her life. Julia gets caught up in between the mayhem,given the flash drive and watched her friend murdered. Julia is placed in protective custody but one of the marshal (Morris Frank) is on Raze's payroll and leaks out her whereabouts. The story was written with strong characters and storyline as the pieces fell into disrepair with Marshal Andre Hart being injured while attempting to protect Julia from the traitor.
Julia escapes with her life after several turns of events she ends up at Justin Harbor ranch in Sunshine Montana. Justin is an ex-military recon personnel with PTSD, who is used to his own space, quietness and carries too much emotional baggage but he owes Andre a favor for saving his life. Julia and Justin open the file to see what was so important, it alerted Raze the whereabouts of Julia where she was kidnapped. There is human trafficking, kidnapping, suspense and steamy love scenes. Overall, a great read and easy read compacted with dynamite characters and action.

This was a book I could not put down shall we say a very late night /early morning! I could not help but get drawn into this story of one woman Julia and the people trying to keep her safe from the man who murdered her friend and now want her . She is put in protective custody but one of the men is a friend of the murderer so she has to run and she has been told to get to Justin. Will he be able to keep her safe? What happens?

Julia has witnessed a murder and has gone into witness protection when things go horribly wrong and one of the Marshal's that are protecting her winds up betraying her and gets another marshal killed Julia runs to Justin Harbor the best friend of the dead Marshal. Justin is very reluctant to have Julia at his ranch but will protect her with his life. Justin owes Andre his life even though he now suffers from PTSD and fights his own demons he will honor his best friend in protecting Julia.
Julia is a strong courageous woman and sassy as well, I LOVE when the female character is betrayed this way. Justin is so HOT and sexy. just yummy. The chemistry between the two is awesome. I Loved that Julia would not give up on breaking down Justin's walls when she was taken from him he went after her and the ending OMG was so great. you have to read this book

After witnessing her friends murder, Julia is put into witness protection. When it becomes clear she's not safe there, Andre, one of the Marshals, sends her an old friends Ranch. When Julia arrives at Justin's farm, he's not what she expected, but she trusts him based on Andres say so. Justin is instantly drawn to Julia, but can't trust himself around him.
This was a sweet story about accepting people for who they are and for helping people through their weaknesses, and helping them through them. I thoroughly enjoy Kit's writing and she has never let me down yet.

Julia watches as her friend is murdered. She is taken into protective custody, but there is a leak and the mobster that killed her friend shows up at the safe house. The U.S. Marshall that Julia trusts, helps her escape, and sends her to an old friend who will protect her. The last thing Justin wants is the responsibility of protecting Julia, but his old friend from his days in the Army sent her, so he agrees to let Julia stay. Justin will save Julia's life, but Julia will help Justin open his heart and love again. Julia and Justin are fantastic and fascinating characters, they are hot and sexy. This book has action, excitement, suspense and violence, I loved it!

This was an enjoyable read. Julia witnesses her friend's murder and goes into hiding, only to have to run on her own after her location is leaked. She runs to Justin on a recommendation of an agent she trusts.
Though they are attracted, they both fight the attraction, each for their own reasons. Can they trust each other? If they are to survive they will have to. This was a great romance with some scary action, definitely kept me turning pages to find out what happened next.

4 stars. Julia has to flee the mob after witnessing her friends murder and the betrayal of one of the US Marshal meant to protect her. She finds herself on the doorstep of Justin a soldier with PTSD. A slow companionship grows between the two but their chemistry cannot be denied. When the Mob catches up with her Justin has to face his PTSD to save Julia. This is s new author to me anf I thoroughly enjoyed the book with a suspenseful storyline, a hero who is strong but damaged and a heroine with compassion and strength. Recommended read.

Justin Harbor, is protecting Julia she has witness her best friend being killed and is be trade by one of the marshals watching over her so the marshal that is killed had a best friend so she tracts him down and asks for his help to stay safe but he has walls and keeps his emotions in deep so she tries to get to him over his walls and fall in love with him and staying away form the killer. This was a awesome read mystery and hot steamy love just like a like it what a wild ride Michelle

Full of action. Loved it. Great detail in fight scenes too. Julia and Justin make a great pair. He saves her from the bad guys several times. Well worth the reading.
