It’s the start of nothing good.
I fired off a storm of raunchy text messages…to the wrong number.
And he replied.
Him: Show me a picture.
Him: Tell me your name.
Why does the lure of anonymity have me craving to indulge a stranger?

It’s the start of everything right.
I received a slew of text messages…when everything in my life was wrong.
And she made me laugh again.
Her: You’re probably a creeper.
Her: Possibly a stalker.
Why do I have the overwhelming need to find this stranger who saved me and make her mine?

Him: Take a chance with me.
Her: This is crazy.
Him: I need to see you.
Her: What are we doing?
Him: We’re about to find out.

When drunken texting goes horribly wrong. Dani suddenly finds herself in a textlationship <-- (that is actually a word) with a mystery guy named Ram. He is funny and sweet and makes her feel like no one else has.

Ram has just been going through the motions with life. Never really smiling or enjoying himself. That is until he gets a bunch of texts telling him off. Suddenly this mystery girl has him smiling and laughing.

When fate brings these two together it's a new beginning for both. But lies have a way of coming out and when they do it could spell the end for our lovebirds.

description

I LOVED this book! It was cute. It was HILARIOUS. It was sweet. It was fun. It was well written. The sex scenes were hot. The pace moved along nicely. It had great secondary characters (for the most part...more about that later). Both Dani and Ram were likable main characters. It had feels. It had a little bit of angst. Honestly, it was an ALMOST perfect book.

So back to my aforementioned comment about secondary characters. By the end of this book, I was a bit over Dani's BFF Andie. I get she was supposed to be all feisty and all that, but by the end, her back and forth antics with Roman (apart from the insult contests which was HILARIOUS) got on my last nerve. She just came across screechy, immature and really...a bit unhinged. What grown adult goes around hitting and kicking other people on a regular basis?

In any case since her and Roman's book is next up I hope we get a more mature Andie because I LOVED Roman and want to see him get his HEA. Other than that this book ROCKED.

It's LIVE!! Details can be found on the Blog Tour (giveaway included).

This book got a solid 3.5 stars.

I cunt even explain how much I enjoyed most of this book! Have you ever drunk dialed someone? Drunk texted? Tee hee, I have and it didn't turn out as spectacular for me as it did for Dani and Ram. These two were adorable (and holy hotness) from their texting to their phone calls to their in-person interactions. I found it sweet how quickly these two connected and fell for each other. Although this story wasn't incredibly realistic, it was a hell of a lot of fun to read. I enjoyed the plot and the characters and the cuntversations got tons of giggles out of me.

My only issues, the reasons why I had to deduct points, were:
1) The conflict between Dani and Ram, IMO, was stupid. It was Ram's prerogative to tell people his business, whether he's in love with you or not. Let's be real here. He knew Dani for how long? And she expected all of his guts to hang out???
2) Too much time was spent on Andie and Roman. I didn't even like Andie. Why was she such a big part of what was supposed to be Dani and Ram's story???

So anyhoo, I laughed A LOT and had a blast right along with Dani and Ram on the crazy train.

This was an absolutely sweet (and smutty)read. Perfect case of wrong number done right. Ramsey and Danielle had the best relationship and those texts were super, super sexy...until they meet that is. After that it was just nuclear. A definite recommendation if you're looking for a perfect light read!

Looking forward to Roman and Andie's story next.

4 "Buttercup" Stars

Whatever I had read by K. Webster up to now, all of them were Dark. This book was a challenge for me to know whether I like romance stories she writes or not. And guess what?! I loved it!
Dani is a girl who cannot say No to anybody so the others take advantage of her niceness. She has no self-confidence. I think she is a little bit silly too and that is why she is so cute. I liked her stumbling over her words. It was funny. Ram is a depressed person until Dani comes to his life by a drunk mistake and he becomes obsessed with her.
The main characters aside, I really loved the relationship between Andie and Roman. Of course, if you can name it relationship!! I really looking forward to reading Hate 2 lovers!! Hope it will be really soon! I loved they battling and I liked them more than main characters. Shame on me!! Hahaha.

TWO IMMATURE STARS!!

I am so fucking disappointed with this read.

Reading about Dani and how much of a pushover she was, I should have halted this read then and there - but then, I had enjoyed Schooled by a Senior, so what the fuck, right?

It was horrible.

I went back and forth on their age. Was Dani really 25? Is Ram really fucking 30??? Because they acted nothing like their age (I swear not even teenagers act that way!). I could have handled Ram to some extent, but it's like when he got around Dani...fuck it all!

Then the MISUNDERSTANDING!

Oh. My. Gosh!

How much more could I have rolled my eyes?!?! I cannot fathom why anyone would take the words of a complete fucking stranger and run, ignore the guy you've grown to love and have a relationship with and then cry about him probably moving on when he keeps sending texts and fucking calling you. I thought relationships were about communications?! And with the progress she and Ram had, you'd think her dumbass would confront him about something that big!

I am so pissed with this read. I've been struggling to get back in the groove of reading and this one just pummelled me to the ground! Ugh.

Even her best friend pissed me off, and then their interaction outside of whatever respective relationship. Nothing felt serious or mature. Working in a bank and have those sort of outbursts?? - working at a huge advertisement and those tricky shitty, fucking plot that got others fired without a damn plausible investigation....Sigh

I guess I should be happy K. Webster was the one who wrote Ram. I liked him to some extent as I've said. Dani...man, she was just...annoying. The innocent level she had was not my cup of tea. Strong lead women without all roses and perfumes clogging up her fucking senses all the way!

4.5 stars!! I wasn't too sure about Dani in the beginning. She was way too sweet and I love a sweet heroine. She was actually an all too innocent doormat really. I loved reading about her coming into her own though. Ram I absolutely adored from word one.

Now the next book I'm nervous about all because of Andi. I love Roman because well K Webster does heroes like no other. Andi is so damn abrasive though. I'm hoping she softens up a bit in the next book otherwise I'll never get through it.

4.0 "A Wrong Number Gone Oh-So-Right” Stars!!!
“Frommm the moment you wrong texted me, I was yours,” I slur. “You w-were mine, and I love you and I need you and, goddammit, please answer your phone and talk to me beautiful.” Sniffle. I blink through my haze trying to decide if I imagined it or not. “I can’t sleep because you plague my every thought, Dannnni,” I drawl out. “You’re both my punishment and my reward."

Squee!!!Get yourselves ready for this entertaining, laugh out loud and super hot-panty melting read with a filthy mouth hero and a nice and adorable heroine with her own dirty ways you'll gonna get yourself crazy!!!

Like what woman would say, "Just come on my belly.". I was surprised with this heroines boldness despite her naivety. I have nothing else to say except, You Go Girl!

Moving on, I was so giddy to start this book because in all honesty I haven't had a chance of reading any of J.D Hollyfield and K.Websters works. Yeah...yeah shame on me, but.... better late than never right? So I was so excited I cannot contain it, that I have devoured the book like it was my last meal. I was really wondering as to what extent these author's gonna deliver us. J.D's into romcom and K's into dark one's. Now my question was, what's in store for us this time?

When I read the book, all I can say was that, the authors clearly had a fun time writing. It was evident in their words and lines and to be honest I too was even wondering who wrote what. So that started my interest in the book. I am romcom fan and to read something I was thinking co-written with a dark romance writer, now that's another story and my verdict? J.D Hollyfield and K. Webster did a great job with this book!

So, Text 2 Lovers, what more can I say? I love how it was written but I will admit at first I was kinda lost. I have my fair share of romcoms but this one just simply had me conflicted in a way. However though, when I start all over, that's when I appreciate the story more. It's not the story but it was me, maybe I was just adjusting to the writing style considering this is my new take of the authors and I was expecting the darkness style usually I thought of K. I then realized, I was in awe on both the author's versatility in delivering such a sweet and passionate story that tackles not only about a wrong text message but portrayed issues that despite less angst will definitely made you think, this could happen in real life.

Suffice to say, I really enjoyed my journey with Ram and Dani. I love these characters and I love their portrayal. The way it started right away with the harsh text message, the way at some point there is still hidden beneath Ram's character that explained his behavior. And mostly I love how Dani portrayed as naive and nice but in the end have seen her inner claws and fierceness not just physically but emotionally as well. It might be a simple plot, but I was given more with these authors. I was given an enjoyable and fun night riding on these characters journey. The banters, the sweetness and the sexting that was just hot. And the scenes that would leave you panting and the bumps along the way in their journey to pursuit of love and happiness.

Wow!!! It's a full ride not just with angst and issues but a happy and laugh out loud funny scenes with even the secondary characters you'll get to meet in the next installment. I can't wait!!!

"Get ready, Buttercup. I'm playing for keeps."

"You're both my punishment and my reward."

"I love you. Hear me? I love you. Come back to me. I can't live without you. I'm drowning in my thoughts for you. There is no color or sound or light. Just sadness and fucking despair. I nee you, baby. Don't you need me too?"

Text 2 Lovers is the exciting new compilation from author K. Webster J.D. Hollyfield. Text 2 Lovers is a laugh out loud, sexy yet light romantic comedy. Dani and Ram's story will pull you in from page one and will have you devouring each and every word.

One of the things that I really loved about this book was how well it showcased author K. Webster's versatility as a writer. K. Webster has written some of the darkest, most out of box books that I've ever read. So, to see her write something so light, and funny...it just blows my mind. Seeing her adapt to another authors writing style, but still keeping her personality and her own spin to it, is just amazing.

As for JD Hollyfield, she has done an amazing job giving us something light and entertaining. I was excited and thrilled that she was going to co-write a book with K. Webster, and she did not disappoint!

Text 2 Lovers was a fantastic read, from beginning to end. This story was flawlessly written and entertaining as hell. This book made me laugh. It frustrated me. It made me fall in love. This story was sexy, but with a few angst filled moments that made my heart feel like it was being ripped out of my chest.

Text 2 Lovers gave me all the feels and left me begging for more. I can not wait to read more from this duo in the future...

"Get ready, Buttercup. I'm playing for keeps"

For those of you who know me, you know I love me some K. Webster, so of course I jumped at the chance to read a book of hers that didn't include vegetables and creepy dolls! :-) And OMG I am so happy that I did!

What I loved:
-First and foremost, the Princes Bride references!
-The steam! Whewwwwww I am pretty sure my kindle overheated during some of those scenes!
-The hero (Ram) and heroine (Dani) were totally adorable and super relatable! Though I have to admit, Andie (a secondary character) totally stole the show. LOVED her.
-The book was pretty hilarious, especially the parts where Ram tries to get Dani to say a certain word that starts with "C" and rhymes with bunt. SO FUNNY!
-Did I mention Andie? yep, totally did. She was totally one of the best characters I have ever read about! I cannot WAIT for her and Roman's book!!!!

If you are looking for a hilarious & romantic book that will leave you with a shit eating grin on your face long after you finished it, then this book is for you!

You can tell that authors K. Webster and J.D Hollyfield had a lot of fun writing this book because it translated flawlessly into the story. Hilarious plot and colorful characters made this book one hell of a great time, I loved it!

 photo 49C5788B-F4AC-4205-8FB6-A69EA77317A0_zps4ihbtdmg.jpg

Dani is always a nice girl, that's just how her parents raised her. Now that she's an adult is not, being nice is not always a good thing, as people around her, and specially boyfriends are always walking all over her. Her latest boyfriend is no different; Dani just caught him with another woman and instead of confronting him , she just goes to a bar to forget about her sorrows with her best friend and a bottle of tequila. Once she's ingested a fair amount of liquid courage Dani decides to text her jerk ex, and give him a real piece of her mind. After a slew of texts later, she realizes she's been texting the wrong person...

Ram is stuck in his life, things are just not going his way, and to make matters worse he is lacking creativity he desperately needs to finish his latest marketing project. Until... A random string of offensive texts start pinging on his phone. Not only are these texts helping him spark the much needed creativity, but are also making him very curious to know the person who's behind them.

Dani and Ram continue to text even after they clear the misunderstanding, they simply hit it off, and those texts quickly become their favorite part about the day. Faith will make sure these two meet, and when they do everything will become a beautiful disaster that we won't be able to get enough of.

This was one of those books that once you pop, you can't stop. You will want to read it, devour it all, because is that much of a good time. You'll want to read it again, a buy it for other people as well. These two authors make a great team together and I cannot wait for the next book.

What happens when a "good" girl gets wasted and starts to hate-text her ex-cheating-boyfriend, only to find out the next day that her texts found an unknown recipient?

Well, let me tell you! Besides all the "Princess Bride" refenences, their story was no-way a fairytale.

I don't know about you, but I always get excited reading a book that has a lot or writting exchanges between the H and h, either in letters or texts or diaries (or I-don't-know-what-else-maybe-smoke-signals!) I really love reading other peoples thoughts, it feeds my nosy side, but it's something that I would never do in real life. So I have to make do with books.

This book was really great up to the middle and I was going for a 5 star rating. I loved how they got to know each other, it felt very realistic the way Ram saw right through Dani's facade and how with his proding and encouragement she managed to get a hold of her life, stopped being a pushover and started being more bold in her relationship with him, even before they actually met.

Dani's best friend, Andie, is a little OTT agressive and mean, for my liking, but I guess I'll have the chance to get aquainted with her in the next book, which is her story.

Ram's brother, Roman, seemed very distant and secretive in his relationship with his brother but he proved himself a real, caring brother in the end.

I just didn't like the way things fell through in Dani and Ram's relationship, due to his ex-girlfriend's mendling. It is such a cliche! And Ram spiralling so out of control out of the blue, just felt over dramatic.

I think I would have been content if the story stopped just when things got interesting. The second hald of the book only spoiled the story IMHO, but I guess the authors felt like they had to set the base for the next two books in the series, who apparently involve the Holloway siblings.

OMG, I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!

Funny, sexy, smart, sassy....JUST Loved it!!! I started this book yesterday and just couldn't put it down. It had me laughing out loud, fanning myself in public places as the steam rolled off the pages, and choked up in an unexpected way. I went through a gambit of emotions as I fell in love with Ram, Dani, Andie, and Roman!! I CANNOT WAIT FOR Hate 2 Lovers!! I would even LOVE a book that revolved around Reagan...hint, hint ;-)

Loved this one..heart, humor, banter and so much cute I can't even handle it!

I sat down to read this book and glanced up about 3 hours later, only when my kindle refused to swipe any further..done? The end? But how..how did that happen so quickly? Yet it did. I started and finished this book in one quick sitting. Why? One word...banter! As a reader it is the easiest way to connect with me. A wrong number text. A texting friendship ensues. A sudden need for more. Phone calls. Intimate moments before even laying eyes on one another. And BAM. Ram.

"Who knew a wrong number could go oh-so-right?"

Ram and Dani without even knowing it were it for each other from the get go. Ram never fulling dealing with the depression of losing his father. Dani being the nice girl that gets walked all over on the daily. Each living in their own form of denial until they accidentally meet. Bringing out the best in each other. Completing. Via. Text. Call. Love.

"Get ready, Buttercup. I'm playing for keeps."

Both of these authors are favorites of mine. So I did know who wrote what and it made sense that they chose it that way. Funny, sweet, light hearted, yet laced with a dark overlay that keeps you so connected to the story and characters you can't help but laugh, cry and want right along with them. The background characters and their explosive chemistry an added bonus. Also ensuring that your stalking of these two authors will be stepped up extremely as the wait for the next book becomes too much to handle.

"You're both my punishment and my reward."

Totally enjoyed this one. Easy to read, connect with and 5 star.

Have you ever gotten a random text from a total stranger that wasn't supposed to be for you? I have. Quite a few times, actually. NONE of them turned out to be this cute :) What a fantastic little story! What captivated me to read the story was the fact that I've had randoms before and they were fun, but never THIS fun :)

I loved everything about this story, to be honest. Dani and Ram are ridiculously likeable. The drama/conflict in the story was a bit cliché, but it was a very small portion of the story so it didn't even phase me. The fun these two had developing a relationship is what's gold here. Their journey was super sexy and witty and all around full of heart!

Full belly laughter

That is what you will get from Text 2 Lovers. This romance comedy comes from Authors K. Webster and J.D. Hollyfield and I found myself laughing out loud quite a few times.

Dani lets everyone and anyone walk all over her. Including her cheating ex, but will her accidental text to the wrong person help her become not such a push over?

Ram has had a rough couple of months, but when a random text message from someone going off on him brings a smile to his face, it leaves him wanting to talk to this stranger more and more.

Dani and Ram were super cute together. Their story was sweet with some bumps in the road, BUT dare I say her best friend Andie and Ram's brother Roman stole the show. I loved Andie's personality so much, and I can't wait for their story.

My thoughts

I really enjoyed this story.
Ram and Dani were a fun couple to read about.
How they met and got to know each other was unique and kinda weird, but this is fiction, and THANK GOD Ram wasn't a creep or this story wouldn't have worked.

 photo T2L4_4.jpg

Dani is nice, if anything she's too nice and lets people walk all over her.
She's trying to get some backbone with the help of her best friend Andi, she's also trying to get her life back together after catching her boyfriend with his neighbor (who borrowed money from Andi so he could buy her an engagement ring)

Ram's trying to get back on his feet after being falsely accused of doing something horrible that he didn't do and lost his job over.
He's at a low point in his life until he unexpectantly gets a text from a stranger telling him off, then saying incredibly intimate things to him.
She makes him smile and laugh for the first time in months.
From then on he's hooked.

 photo T2L5_4.jpg

 photo T2L3_4.jpg

The chemistry between Ram and Dani is sizzling.
The secondary characters are interesting as well.
I found Andi (Dani's best friend) to be over-the-top and a little bit of a bully with Dani.
I liked Ram's brother and their favorite bartender, Brett.

All in all, it's a good start to a series and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

So, first half of the book was really funny and entertaining. The second half...

The whole misunderstanding to create the unnecessary angst was eye-rolling. What's worse is that towards the end the story changes from MCs to supporting characters and they became the main characters. Frankly, the supporting couple was more entertaining than the MCs...

Dani is the nice girl, she'll help anyone out with anything, even assisting her boyfriend in the plot that led to their separation. Influenced by alcohol and her best friend, Dani sends a string of profane texts to the now ex-boyfriend, but she might have gotten the numbers wrong. Ram didn't know how badly he needed a distraction until the texts came through, Buttercup just might be the highlight of his year. What starts out poorly soon forms into a bond neither can deny, but there's still a chance none of it could work when they finally meet in person.

"Who knew a wrong number could go oh-so-right?”

Text 2 Lovers will be one of those books I turn to when I am in desperate need of a laugh and of a happy ending with a side dish of reality. Written by K. Webster and J.D. Hollyfield, the witty duo bring comedic relief to the cliche "unknown number" text storyline we've all come to know so well. With J.D. voicing the females and K. bringing her alpha-dirty-talking a-game for the males, Text 2 Lovers is a slam dunk in the romantic comedy genre. I didn't get a single thing I expected out of this book and I like it all the more for it. It was better, because it was so beyond cliche at many parts and totally realistic and filled with comedic relief in other parts. It's a perfect blend of smut, insta-lust, angst, drama, and comedy.

I have to hand it to both J.D. Hollyfield and K. Webster, as a fan of both I know they have different writing styles, completely different prose actually, but it worked perfectly in Text 2 Lovers. Longtime fans know these two share a pretty serious friendship and it's obvious in the book with the way the characters play off each other. The jokes are too die for, the smut is off the charts, and even the confusing parts are easily forgotten with how much hilarity is packed into this short novel. Dani is super innocent and Ram is experienced, but jaded. Both go through quite a bit of impressive character development, with the novel focusing solely on their relationship built off white lies and drunken text messages. They are cute, both finding everything they could have wanted in one another, but things just can't be that easy. There's just the right amount of drama to make the novel more entertaining than a basic romance, written in a style that is much like you'd expect both main characters to sound like if they were real. It's the kind of book that feels simple, but you can't put it down and you will definitely want to go back for more once you finish.

I love the whole texting before meeting thorp. There's something that is fun watching witty banter, and seeing different sides to the characters. So I was instantly excited for this book!

It's so hard to talk about Dani with out giving too much away. She's the type of character that you just need to read to understand and connect with. She was a good girl, but once you read the book, you'll see how amazing she is. I loved her!!! Even when she was a push over.

Ram was AMAZING!!!!! Just like with Dani I can't say too much because he was funny, sweet, sexy, and just totally awesome. You have to be in his head to get him. To truly understand all things Ramsey!

Andie is a kick ass best friend. She had the backbone that Dani lacked and would do anything for her best friend. I aspire to be like Andie! Roman was another great secondary character. He was the funny that makes you laugh til you feel stupid.

I loved that each author took a character. I spent the whole book trying to figure out who wrote who and I can honestly say I didn't figure it out. That was one of the fun parts of this book!

The plot was amazing. The description is a tease but once you get into the story, while it's fun and games, there is deeper subjects that are involved. Not the make you sob your eyes out, but the oh man that so sad, or the what the heck just happened way.

Overall, this was a great collaboration between these two amazing authors. It was fun and flirty but don't let that fool you, with jaw dropping moments and amazing secondary characters, you'll be begging for more! 5 stars #2OCCJD

I may have already mentioned in any of my past reviews that I'm easily sold on technology-based or -related romances. So I guess I was already sold on this book just by knowing the title. And I thought this story started off really well--great chemistry between the characters and the text messaging was really all fun. Unfortunately, it kind of slowed down a bit for me after the romance became more personal and face-to-face. It should've been more intimate but I couldn't feel it enough. There was just something missing and I couldn't identify what really went wrong. A bit of my expectations just weren't met in the end or maybe I was just expecting more.

Hilarious and heartbreaking..

And just so much fun..! ^__^

The characters of Dani and Andie, their dynamic was hilarious, and by chapter two I had highlighted the first couple of Golden Moments.. xD

But this is not their story, not quite, this is Dani and Ram's story, and it is sooo good... Both funny and heartbreaking, and a little bit of instalove, but I don't mind that, because I've experienced that kind of connection with someone myself before, so I get it.. :-)

But there are gutwrenching moments for the characters as well, and my heart broke, and I was concerned with them a little, but I found out, that I of course didn't have the whole story...

I guess I could relate to both Dani and Ram, because like Dani I've also been told I'm too nice (and I know I am), and I don't know how to tell people no, even if it's doing something I don't want to do... I've gotten better at it, though, but I still feel guilty about it...
And like Ram, I have known depression... That soulcrushing, don't leave the house, don't care about anything, don't even eat, depression...

In the beginning of the book the authors encourage their readers to guess who wrote which chapters/parts, but seeing as I had never read anything by either of them before I never really guessed either way, but I did think the story flowed really well, and I think these two authors write well together :-)

I enjoyed myself immensely reading this one, and I highly recommend it, I had quite the feels (as per usual I guess xD), but yea, highly recommended ^__^
Go forth! Read! I'll be curious to know what you think..? :-)

lets be honest, there are so much challenging books and writers who give us priceless characters or stories. And when we compare them with this kind of works "disappointment" is first word comes my mind. why I critisize it a little bit harsh is specially K. Webster writes amazing stories and this is not one of them. just waste of time for me.

One more thing I guessed right about which character written by whom ( male ones by webster)
