They were created, betrayed and nearly eradicated as a species. The rest they did to themselves. The Tellox are known as the finest warriors in every known galaxy, animalistic, powerful and infinitely hard to kill. They heal from nearly any wound and do not age. But they have no females left, and with the destruction of their bloodmates so long ago, nothing worth fighting for. So they wander, they battle, and they hunt. Most don't even remember what it is they search for, until Commander Creeg of the Tellox is exploring a new uninitiated world and chances upon the scent of new prey. A small Earth female named Sara is about to change everything.
This is the start of a series and while the characters in this book will be in the next book and there is a continuation of story, each book will present a new romance to be enjoyed. This is an alien abduction, fated mate romance with strong language and explicit sexual situations. Enjoy!

On a more personal note- I read my first romance novel: "Shanna" by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss when I was 13 years old. I still read it every year or so just to remember how amazing a really good romance novel can make you feel.

There's an overarching plot, but each book features a different couple. Creeg and Sara's story is basically concluded in this one.
Anyway, these aliens were traveling to hunt, and they happened to land on Earth. Creeg, by chance, saw Sara and got intrigued by her, and he decided to stalk her. Then when she accidentally cut her fingers, the scent of her blood confirmed that his fascination with her is because she's his blood mate. So he kidnapped her. 😂
There are no women on their planet; all of them died during their great wars. There haven't been any women or offspring for hundreds of years in their species. So his discovery of his blood mate is a positive sign for his people and their population. A hope for other Tellox that they could find their blood mates.
Obviously Sara's not on board with this plan. So she tried to fight him off, but when he bit her, something changed in her DNA of the sort that made her emotionally connected to him. They were able to feel each other's emotions. Then after they fulfilled their bonds, it became possible to read each other's minds.
The pushing away from Sara didn't last long because of the pull of the bond, but I did admire how she fought it. Also, it didn't help that Creeg was relentless and didn't really give her space to breathe. 😅😂 He was all over her, literally. But then that's also because their bond makes it impossible for them to stay away from each other. So the clinginess is understandable.
Moving on, there was some suspense added in the last 20% of the book because of his lunatic king. And the story ended with them going back to Earth to save Sara's sisters. They are the FMCs in the next two books.
Book info: - Novella - Alien x Human - Blood mates - Insta-something - No cheating, OM/OW, separation - Dual V! 🤩 - HFN (for this couple)
Notes: 〰️ Tellox have no sexual desires unless they find their blood mate. 〰️ They also don't grow old, so Creeg was a hundred years old already. 〰️ Some might see Creeg as pushy and don't know how to respect boundaries. I mean, he did promise her that he's not going to do anything with her for all throughout their travel back to his planet. But every day he persistently pushed Sara's limit through physical touches, hoping she'd let him fulfill the bond. But then again, he's an alien, so there's going to be some difference with their views. Also, it's really hard to ignore the bond pull, and dealing with it seems like a more logical idea than denying their attraction.

This was a solid book. Completely safe with a virgin hero! But enough with the damn heroines who act like crazy bitches! I do not at all understand why when heroines are faced with a jerk/manwhore they literally faint with intense desire for them but when it comes to honorable/non-manwhore/completely devoted heros they could give less of a shit and push them away at nasuem. This was a good start to what will be a great new and SAFE series. All the heros are confirmed virgins.
I'm always up for a good alien romance so I was eager to check this one out. Here's my breakdown:
The pros: * Hero was a virgin - no manwhore here * Offered as a kindleunlimited * Plenty of action (and not just in the bedroom)
The cons: * I didn’t like the hero on this one - he was very inconsiderate and never seemed to put the heroines needs above his own. He was consistently selfish and showed no compassion towards the heroine. He just took her from her world and never seemed to express any great remorse or understanding of this. * The hero was too rough. He always seemed to be grabbing, biting, or bruising the heroine. That’s not sexy to me. * In DESPERATE need of an editor * The dialogue was very choppy at times and hard to follow - numerous times I had to re-read certain portions just to translate what the hell was trying to be said
* I would have liked a little bit more backstory - it felt like we were just thrown into this world - I wanted a better understanding of it all
Overall, I can't say this is an alien romance that I was easily recommend. I wasn’t a big fan.
I'm not sure if I would rate this one a 4 1/2 or a 5 but for the simple fact that this one got my out of book funk this one deserves a 5. I didn't skip or want to skip anything in this book. I loved the world building and the main characters and I can't wait to see what will happen in book 2. There are so many characters in this book that I am waiting for their own books. the hero was great, possessive, demanding, and willing to do whatever to get the woman he wanted. I really really liked this one and can't recommend it enough.
2.5 stars Has all the earmarks of a story I would normally love but just didn't enjoy it. Hero was a selfish dick who seems to not care at all about heroines pain, choice or wants. He forced his his bite on her to begin changing her DNA without her consent. Kidnaps her despite her protests. Her heartache was merely irritation. He breaks his vow not to force sex until they reach his planet. (She's a virgin)
Exposes her to even more trouble by taking her to his world as the only woman. Then endangers Earth and humanity by triggering an invasion of horny selfish alien warrior people seeking mates. If he had cared, seemed sympathetic for remorseful that would have gone a long way towards me liking this book more. Only recommended as filler.
Why bother f***ing an alien male if you’re given equally selfish, abusive, stalkerific, criminal, bullying and rapey one you can find dime a dozen in earth?
The book was nothing but an extended Stockholm syndrome.

Eh. Needs editing. I think this is self published, but there were a few continuity errors - her sisters changed to her cousins, Rygan changed to Rylan, etc.
The story was ok. It wasn't romance as much as alien biology getting into the human biology and making them all hot to mate. That's not romance, that's just going into heat and nature telling the animals to procreate.
The plot on the Tellox planet was stunted. It should've been longer to better explain and flesh it out. I know there's another book, but this one left a lot to be desired. Just a lot of meh.
DNF at 45% I found this book immensely uncomfortable and rapey, and I've read romances where there are actual rapes (I didn't like those either).
While the heroine does kind of give permission (eventually), it's definitely in a forced seduction kind of way. In fact, I feel this book needs a trigger warning. There are times when the heroine clearly says stop or no and the "hero", Creeg (a name I kept rolling my eyes at and thinking about Arnold Schwarzenegger), keeps manhandling her. One particular scene had her saying no and he simply ignores her by saying she was made for him and pressing his clothed erection to her. See what I mean? Rapey.
I really should have stopped there (that was a little past the 20% mark) but I kept thinking there must be some moment of redemption. Of character growth.
Of course, the heroine is fighting her passion for her rapey love interest. But I gotta wonder WHY? Full disclosure, I've read abduction stories before. I've even liked a few. But you have to balance your abductor with some hardcore inner conflict. At some point he has to realize what he's doing is wrong and grow and become a better person (I mean if he really loved the chick, seeing her yelling no and crying should do something right??). Creeg has none of this. He just keeps pushing and forcing his attentions on the heroine until she Stockholm's it up and let's him have his way with her. Yup, why have character growth when you have a handy mating bond that forces you? It's this reason I've begun to hate that particular trope in the romance genre.
In fact, now that I think about it, nothing about Creeg and Sara's "relationship" is particularly loving or romantic. The author bombards us with forced seduction scenes and assures us Sara feels something...But isn't that just the mating bond MAKING her? Because there is nothing redeeming about Creeg.
What straw finally broke the camel's for me is (maybe spoiler?) when after they have sex they mind bond too, able to read each other's feelings and memories. Creeg, like the gentleman he is, FORCES HIMSELF INTO HER MIND and just has a field day reading her emotions and memories DESPITE THE FACT SHE TELLS HIM TO STOP. in fact, he doesn't stop until she imagines slicing off his dick with scissors. Was that supposed to be funny? Because...No!
So, to recap. Heroine gets abducted. Gets emotionally raped by forced bonding. Gets "forcefully seduced" (rape lite?) by Creeg, and gets mentally raped by Creeg.
Well, I was warned! The synopsis did say that although each book presents a new romance, the story will continue throughout the series. I just never thought that Ms. Lucille would ever have me wanting to chunk my ipad at a wall when the story ended but didn’t. In other words, I was left hanging in a huge way. Huge enough that I’ll be waiting for some more releases to happen before I dive back into this story. This in no way means I didn’t enjoy Creeg. It was heartbreaking and exciting, especially towards the end.
Sara, a young woman who’s had to raise her younger sisters, is abducted by an alien. She immediately shows herself as smart, loyal, caring and extremely brave. Faced with losing everything, her family, her home, her planet, even her humanity, she held up admirably but when biological imperatives are involved, you know that no matter how hard she fights it she’s going down.
Creeg, I had a harder time with. I did not like what he did nor did I like how hard he worked on getting her to submit to him to complete the mating. It just didn’t set right with me for some reason. Even so, I felt for the guy. I mean his entire race’s future was on his shoulders plus he had that whole biological thing riding him hard, so I found myself trying to give him a pass.
Usually with a Kelly Lucille book, I have no problem with the sexy times. She can write one heck of a hot scene, but here it just didn’t work. One reason was because he had to work so hard at it and the other is because so much emphasis was based on the blood mate/biological imperative thing, I had no reason to think these two even liked each other under all those mating pheromones.
With the issues between Creeg and Sara getting together, it’s good there were lots of other things to get my sci-fi loving self excited. I saw immediately that when a race of warriors who have been hundreds of years without mates suddenly finds one on earth, things may not go well for earth. Especially when you take into consideration the current ruler of Tellox. When this story is complete, I have the feeling it’s going to be a damn good one. It’s going to be hard, but I’m going to have to pass until the story line itself is complete.
Rating: 3.5 Can’t Wait Until I Can Read The Finished Story Stars.
I haven't read a book so awful in a while. There will be spoiler ahead so be warned! Books like this give bad name of the gender honestly. The main hero kidnaps the female rapes her and then in the end she suffers from Stockholm syndrome and doesn't care that the same thing will happen to others. I have read many books with similar premise but this is the worst by a mile. I recommend to everyone who thinks to read this book to go find something else!
This alien romance was right up my alley (fated mates, sexyness, and danger) but the writing was confusing.
"She pulled out into the transport lanes and vehicles that were making use of it."
Immediately I thought she was in a car accident. But no, this sentence structure was continued throughout the story. I had to reread so many compound sentences to understand what was meant. There were a couple grammatical errors as well.
But I'm excited for the next book! The title is a character introduced in this one and the plot has a large loose end (villain) so I look forward to more world building and couples.
I don't usually have a issue with the whole life mate/blood mate/ fated mate (whatever you want to call it) thing. Honestly i actually love it, but sadly not this time. It just felt weird with Sara fighting against it the whole time and then suddenly from one page to the next she loves Creeg oh so much and doesn't want to live without him. I felt like there was no inner transition from hating to loving and it bugged me. Don't even get me started on the King because he's just crazy and i hate him. Not interested enough to continue the series.
Quick read! I felt uncomfortable at times because of the dub con but... I feel like it managed to stay on the decent side of the line. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
For all the people who reviewed this saying that the heroine was annoying, eff that. I was prepared to find her annoying not crying a big fat angry tear for all the injustice she suffered. She is kidnapped, bitten and turned into an alien race, forced into a mating heat, all while her mate has ZERO empathy for her and why she is upset. He finally gets her to have sex with him then uses it to FORCE her to admit she is his, i.e. submit. I'm sorry, but how is that romantic? Why is her hating that she has absolutely NO control over anything in her life "annoying"? Most alien books the h has to get over the fact that life as they know it is over. BUT, the Hero is not usually the one who is 100% completely at fault for that, and acts like he doesn't care. All because she was "made for him." The h was completely right, he only cares about what he wants, and he makes no apologies for it. I liked the whole premise of this book but if we could have just gotten a bit more empathy and a lot less "YOU ARE MINE, your feeling don't matter" animal crap it would have been better. Once they get to his planet the whole book changes. The king is crazy and thinks that the first blood mate should have been his. They end up fugitives and all of Earth is in jeopardy, especially her sisters.
The heroine was resistant to the mating for far too long. Although I cannot fault her, it just irritated me as I wanted more romance. It’s a good start to a series and the hero is hot! I liked that the hero was not this super powerful alien even though he was a Tellox general and he acknowledges that some other Tellox are stronger than him. He failed to kill the crazy king so that added a bit of grounding to the story.
I enjoyed this book a lot my only complaint and also keeping me from giving a 5 star is the pushing away that Sara does. I can understand some of it but it really started to get Annoying. Full of steam that sometimes got a little rough, almost animalistic at times but then again you are reading about an alien who has an inner-beast that is all alpha and possessive. Definitely recommend!!!
I can't say I was a big fan of this book. It definitely leaned towards no and at times questionable consent. I just didn't like that. The premise was interesting but the romance wasn't well developed. It was I hate you, I hate you, I love you. I couldn't get into it. I wanted to like the story but forcing the issue made me dislike it.
This book was slightly better than my other 5 face palms, but comparing it to books I actually liked, prob should truly get 2 stars. I have been on an alien kick as of recent and this one intrigued me just as much as the series I read. This one was less fleshed out though. I would have liked to see a bit more world building. The humans know about the aliens in this series and that right there could have been 2 chapters just to explain how the hell that happened. I am pretty sure that Creeg was the person that killed someone on live TV but honestly, how this book read, I wasn't quite sure if it was him or someone else.
One thing that totally weirds me out about alien books is how easily the heroine gets over the looks. Maybe I am just shallow. But these aliens are catlike in their appearance. And as much as I might think a cat is cute, I have never found myself attracted to one. So the instant attraction just seems too far fetched to me.
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more. This looks like a promising start to a new series. Creeg and Sarah were interesting and I want to see what happens with the mad king and Sarah's sisters. I want to see what happens with earth and the rest of the Tellox.
A Great Alien Abduction Story Commander Creeg of the Tellox, made contact with the primitive people of Earth and when meeting with their leaders an assassination attempt was made, he killed the assassin, on national TV. He and his 4 warrior crew left. In actually they went stealth. The Tellox are a genetically engineered warrior race with an inner cat. A war with their creators destroyed their females and children. The males are restless and compelled to explore. Creeg and his crew needed to explore Earth. Sara is the oldest of three sisters, has been care taker of her 2 now young adult sisters, since loosing their parents in an accident several years ago. Megan, the shy artist and Ariel the brilliant MIT student. She has been taken by a Tallox. Creeg doesn't know what it is that compelled him to take Sara. Then he gets a taste of her blood and knows she is his mate. No Tellox has had a mate in over 200 years. Sara just wants to go home. Creeg's crew a first in disbelief, now with hope, and will do anything to protect Sara. Sara is slowly changing, but she fights the pull to Creeg. Creeg struggles to give her time. When Creeg presents Sara to their king, things go worse the expected. Now Creeg, his warriors and Sara are on the run. Her sisters are in great danger. While Creeg vows to rescue them, what of the rest of the Earth females. Fast paced, steamy, alien abduction romance, with interesting world building. Does end in a cliffhanger. Loved Sara and Creeg.
I thought this was an excellent start to what I hope is going to be a series. Sara is 'stolen' from earth by Commander Creeg of the Tellox as he feels a 'pull' towards her, then he discovers she is his blood mate. Sara fought him tooth and nail although she feels the 'pull' too, she doesn't just give in as soon as he touches her in fact she makes this difficult for him. There were a group of warriors on board with them who add to the story and will provide future stories, i hope.
Not enough emotional payout for this non/dub con mating. Not impressed with Creeg. He was so feral he couldn't rationalize nor sympathize. Sex was bad. Cliffhanger ending. Writing was choppy and abrupt.
I wanted to love this series so much, but ughhhhh!!! There are SO MANY holes and missing details that the flow is bumpy and very irritating. For starters, at the beginning I hated Sara and her dumb stubbornness. If she would have used some common sense and approached things logically she could have communicated and made decisions to make things A LOT easier on herself. For example, PACK A BAG when he tells you too repeatedly. He warned her if she didn’t she wouldn’t have anything. What’s she do? Just tried to run again like a moron knowing she couldn’t get away from him and then ends up with nothing of her on and wearing a flimsy scarf! So then she just doesn’t even bother to worry about that. One or two comments, but like no big deal she has nothing to wear or anything else like shoes! She could feel his presence before he showed himself. But she NEVER mentioned or hints at having any special mental abilities. But then after forming the bond, they realize she’s getting stronger and then they can talk telepathically. Well when Creeg realizes this he jumps into her thoughts and looks through all her memories, but she can’t stop him. Rude! And invasive. But if she’s the one with the abilities how could HE realize and do all that snooping, but she couldn’t keep him out? Major story flaw. This was frustrating the entire story. The teacher software was another issue. Huge issue. He mentions it puts information in her mind but also takes all her memories and information and stores them. He casually mentions this to her like it’s no big deal and she could basically care less!!! She experiences no anger or furious questions about what the heck it knows now. How could you just skip over that?! Another flaw in the story. The Guardian that shows up dances through her mind and Creeg. She connects deeper to Creeg out of fear of the guardian. Okay, how did she know to do that? It happened naturally? Uh? Questions here! Then it’s like but you wanted to get away from him so bad, why seek him for protection? It was obvious he couldn’t help her against the guardian. But then it’s like the guardian is her protector and shows her where they live. The guys are like that’s all a myth and Creeg is like no it’s real he showed us. But then no details or questions etc. about this guardian are discussed. They just drop it.... WTF? Then at the end of the book when they REALLY could use some help, she doesn’t even think about them or call on her guardian. At the castle they keep mentioning all these tests she subjected to, numerous times BUT NO DETAILS. And they’re like that is exhausting and frustrating, but never any details! And why would you let someone lab rat you?! Another huge issue here that this wasn’t addressed more or fought. Also, the way Creeg acted the first half of the book he’s a real jerk. The way she refused him when she could have made the situation for herself was annoying. So badly. But then it switched to him feeling her emotions and over looking them like some dark romance alpha a$$hole!!! So then bring on the depressive and anxious triggers! I thought this was supposed to be a romance? But then it’s like all of a sudden she’s gonna give up and loved him? What? Wait. You wanted to fight him, then when he’s more of a jerk, now you’re gonna cling to him and love him? How’d that form? Oh, and let’s not forget to mention she never flips out negatively OR even happily. Like, this should have been a major source of some type of emotion. But again, brushed over. No biggie. It’s mentioned a few times, but with no real feelings and depth. The price on this book should also be way lower, and it should be offered read for free on Kindle Unlimited hands down. I struggled to give this book two stars even because of all the flaws and holes. It has SOOO much potential. And some readers might enjoy it, especially if you aren’t worried about the details and gaining much clarity about certain things....like the guardians. But I just came away frustrated and disappointed cause I saw how the potential was there for so much more, but it fell short and irritating. I would scroll over the additional books for sure just to know what happens because I’m nosy like that if they were in KU. But considering the price and frustration from the first one....I don’t know yet that I’ll pay for them.
