Though this isn’t a book you sit down and read from start to finish, it is an excellent resource for ministry wives to refresh our perspectives before seeking to minister to those in crisis. So eye-opening and thought-provoking.

Good read overall, though a lot of suggestions are outdated. Her advise is helpful to hear and it affirmed certain things that are helpful and reminded me of things NOT to say to friends when trying to be helpful, but being an ignoramus about it. At times, I felt like "can I say anything to someone who is grieving?" Because many Of the comments made from women in each chapter of trials mentioned so many things that people had said that were not helpful and hurtful. But I guess it's about timing, as Seth so wisely reminded me.
