It says African American Erotica but the stories were different. One was about closure. Different styles of short stories

*my personal faves were: good-bye, kiwi, one-night stand, pisces, and the princess and the cop

(FROM JACKET)A powerful collection of erotica from today's leading black writers and fresh voices, BLACK SILK explores exciting territory in the realm of the African American experience. From Eric Jerome Dickey's rueful tale of lust to Lolita Files's scorching account of insatiable adventuring...to Breena Clarke's tribute to the strength of erotic imagination...to Camika Spencer's encouners online and in the flesh...to Carolyn Ferrell's story of intergenerational desire and discovery, this book sings of the power of the forbidden and the transforming-with unforgettable characters who claim their pleasure and seek its ultimate limits. Never before published, never before available, these erotic short stories are a dazzingly sensual mediation on the very soul of passion...

Typical collection of short stories. Mostly good, a few duds and a few in between. Most of those that were good were REALLY good. Also covered many topics such as same sex relationships, BDSM, etc. Worth the time to read.

Maybe I just need to lay off anthologies for awhile.

As with any collection there's going to be some good ones and some duds, whether from different levels of short-story crafting skill or just personal kind of rubbing the wrong way .

Nothing bad or wrong just a case of being not the right fit at this time to want to pick back up.
