I really do enjoy this series. The humour, the art style, and the overall feel of this manga is fantastic. This volume contains the seemingly customary beach episode, as it were, and the shenanigans of what all occurs is pretty epic. It has actually been a bit since I finished this volume and moved on to read other stuff, so there's not a lot more that I can say other than I liked it, I would gladly (and will) read it again, and I can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant manga to sit down and read on a Sunday afternoon.
Satanya, one of the "demons" is actually the cutest & sweetest out of the 4 main protagonists. Gabby & Raph are horrible! Just ridiculous. It kind of offends me, being a Christian. To see a non-believer turn light & dark upside down is a wee bit bothersome. However, I'm trying to be open-minded. Everyone has their own slant to things. The 2 "angels" bully, demean, belittle, harass, bother, & insult the 2 "demons", I'm getting uncomfortable with this series from a bullying standpoint. I hate bullying of any sort. While I wasn't a victim of bullying, in fact, I refused to be bullied growing up. I beat down anyone who tried to bully me, my friends, or any girls (thanks Mom & Dad, for all the martial arts training). So, I tend to get uncomfortable when someone is being repeatedly demeaned. I just don't think I'm gonna continue this series. Once again, Amazon wrote a review of a series that is completely wrong. I don't enjoy watching someone be picked on. So yeah. Art, well done. Dialogue, good. Characters, rather unbelievable, given their supposed positions. Overall I'd say that unless you enjoy bullying, don't bother with this. It's pretty dull.
The second volume of this moe comedy about angels and demons is a nice, quick read. It wasn't quite as funny as the first one but absolutely enjoyable nonetheless!
The vignettes (heheh) take one or a couple of chapters, keeping things fresh although the jokes obviously share theme/setting, as sitcom/slice-of-life comedy do. There's a flashback to Gabi and Vigne's first meeting which I liked, it's always good to flesh out the characters a bit even in a series which doesn't have any major character growth stuff. The obligatory beach section was surprisingly short. One of my favourite chapters was the one where class president overhears Gabi and Vigne talking about the future, it was the funniest part of this volume.
The art is good, the girls are cute. The colour pic in the beginning of this volume is cool.
Oh, and one note on the Finnish translation: although it's gonna lose some power in the future when it's not so topical anymore, putting that GDPR joke in there (Raphi commenting on the summer guidebook) was brilliant, it made me chuckle out aloud.
Siis mä niin rakastan näitä hahmoja ja muutenkin tätä! Tää huumori on tosi mukavaa! Tää oli muutenkin tosi lämminhenkinen ja toi mulle kesä fiiliksen. Piirtotyyli on vaan tosi upee! Juoni tästä kyl tuntuu hieman puuttuvan mut tää huumori korvaa sen ja siis kylhän tässä siis tapahtuu yms.
More of the same -- attempts at humor that aren't funny. I nudged my rating up a notch because the last vignette (involving Gabriel and Vignette) was sweet.
