Enjoy 5 military romance books in this discounted bundle. All full length books. No cliffies!
DEVON Devon Flint doesn’t believe in luck. Why should he? After a childhood full of abuse and a stint in the army that only added to his scars, he’s now living on street corners and preemptively balling up his fists when anybody approaches him, on the off chance that they may try to jump him. Even after Marshall Hagan unexpectedly invites Devon to work for Diamond Security Services, a package deal that includes all the sandwiches Devon can stuff in, and a comfortable couch to sleep on, to boot, Devon refuses to give fate a chance. But when Helena Thurman walks in and Devon is assigned to guard her, he’s forced to start seeing things in a different light. Maybe luck doesn’t exist. But it’s suddenly possible that love just might.
LEE When Phoebe Mack and her mother Vanessa stumble into Diamond Security Services, Lee Armstead isn’t quite sure what to make of the frantic pair. When he hears their story about Phoebe’s chronic sleepwalking, and Vanessa’s insistence that he provide bodyguard services of a very unique kind—protect Phoebe against her sleeping self—Lee is intrigued enough that he takes the job. The last thing he expects is to fall for his client, or to discover that a decades-old, ultra-dark family secret is lurking in the shadows of her dreams.
MATEO Years ago, Mateo Ortiz’s wife broke his heart while he was overseas, serving in the Middle East with his brothers in arms. Fast forward to the present day and Mat has made a life for himself with those same adopted brothers, working at Diamond Security. That carefully reconstructed life comes crashing down around his ears when he receives news that his estranged wife has been murdered. The investigation into her killing will take Mat to the darkest places within himself and will also open up the possibility of a new life, a new love, and a new hope—if he can allow himself to trust again.
CAL Cal Tiller isn’t expecting to catch a glimpse of his childhood on a news broadcast. It’s surprise enough when Anya Birch, his high school sweetheart, flashes across the screen. When the reporter announces that Anya is in jail for murder … that’s something so implausible that Cal can’t let it stand. With Diamond Security’s full support, Cal flies to his hometown in Montana and sets about trying to clear Anya’s good name. The only problem is, Anya doesn’t seem to want to plead anything but guilty.
MARSHALL For years, Marshall has tried to atone for his terrible mistake in Iraq. The secret has haunted his dreams, driving him to seek forgiveness both by establishing Diamond Security Investigations and by visiting the families of each of his accidental victims, paying out endless financial and emotional restitution. He’s almost come to believe that the past is truly behind him, when it suddenly walks right up to Diamond’s offices and puts a literal torch to all the work Marshall and his Army brothers have done. As they work together to rebuild from the ashes, Marshall is forced to confront the specter of his sins not only to finally cleanse his conscience once and for all, but to protect the people he loves—and one woman in particular, who is inadvertently caught in his nemesis’s cruel crosshairs.
I tried...for 7 chapters I tried...but this book and the H & h NEVER developed! :-(
I had high hopes since it was about vets and Marshal was all about helping Devon get off the streets but the stilted dialogue and lukecold sex scenes just had me rolling my eyes and falling asleep while reading. I NEVER DO THAT!
I'm sorry...normally I would push through until the end before I write a review but I just couldn't do it. I'm just sayin...
I always enjoy great stories about "Security Services"....but the author REALLY did a number on me with this series! Life has a way that to Love someone else, you must first love yourself....and in this series, we learn about forgiveness...and about not only forgiving yourself, but accepting forgiveness. Mission accomplished, and many hours of some very tense moments....great series, Lexie!
I liked the writing, all the heros served their country and were affected by that experience, but being good men they help their women to overcome their problems. The individual stories were gritty and interesting. Lexie Ray has a unique style, and all her male characters were well written, the females are also strong and well characterized. I would recommend these books.
This is a really good heart warming series and a thoroughly good read. All the guys who are part of Diamond Security have their own issues and need good women to stand by their sides. Each guy finds his own unique lady and though they all go through a lot of hard times love smiles down on them. Really good read.
Devon and Helena meet when he becomes her bodyguard. Lee and Phoebe meet so he can help with her sleepwalking. Suze got a job with Diamond thru Mateo. Cal and Anya reconnect when she is charged with murder. Marshall and Kat meet because he has history with her dead fiancee.
Year another fantastic set of books from lexie Ray full of everything and characters have great stories full of loved hate, murder you will love all of them
What a deal! Diamond Security Services is a bundle of the five books in the series, each one the tale of a returned veteran trying to live, and love, after serving in war (Iraq and Afghanistan). They all work for Diamond Security, the company four of the five started after they all returned stateside. Each man gets his own book, in which the case he's assigned turns becomes his love story. Each man, in finding true love, finds his way home, his place in the world, and his reason for being. Some find more: a son, an old flame rekindled, a way up from homelessness, redemption and forgiveness for past wrongs, a sense of self - and above all, a real brotherhood based on shared commitment and a common purpose. The writing here is better than the typical romance bundle, bringing the reader into the hearts and minds of the characters. Each man has a distinctive personality and issues that impinge on his professional and private life, but they all share a fierce need to protect, to serve in a meaningful way, and to make right whatever is wrong. These five heroes and their stories make for some good reading - grab the bundle (and some tissues) and enjoy.
All five of these books in this series was awesome! They were full of mystery, sexy, intriguing, romantic, and loving. I truly enjoyed reading about each one of these Guys falling in love. I would definitely recommend these book$ to read!
Amazing stories of finding love after war. I was surprised by the difference between each man and the final story of how Diamond Security was started! Wonderful read
These are all ex army guys who have been brought together by Marshal. Each of the five men have a book of their own but feature the others. The group are a family with no blood connection.
For some reason I'm finding a need to read these 5 story security or special ops books. This is one of the best I've read! Each story individual but intertwined with love and family. Highly recommend!
Stopped at 70 percent. This series wasn't bad but failed to keep a interest. Even the sex scenes didn't produce any real surge of interest. Some of the stories were better than others but not enough.
