Julian Fry, (whom we met in Tower Court and Manx Mayhem) a professional photographer with a growing practice, receives an unexpected approach from an old friend, Adam Tolland, which requires a trip to Kenya. Knowing Julian, this is unlikely to be a simple holiday, given the adventures from Tower Court and Manx Mayhem. The book follows Julian and Adam as they meet new people and uncover mysterious activities at Twiga Lodge, a Safari centre, which they discover is being used to house children (who should not be there). Faced with poachers and disappearing children, the team, with the help of Magda and Ron, must work together in order investigate the situation. When one of the characters decides it’s time to find another wife, he moves the chosen one from London to Nairobi, but she quickly realises all is not as it seems and escapes to Twiga Lodge. The action moves swiftly between Kenya and England, with murders, deception and explosions. The Boss, whom we last saw leaving the Isle of Man in a hurry, is now expanding his empire in Kenya. He isn’t happy when he realises the team are on his case and tries his best to eliminate them – will he succeed, or is his time up?
