SHE NEEDS A MIRACLE

Morgan has had it with life. She’s been cheated on, lied to, and disrespected in the extreme. Now it’s time for her to show her family and friends just what she’s made of—or rather what her cakes are made of. Winning the Cake-off Competition is her chance to be completely independent and enable her to provide for her family. Nothing is going to stop her. Except, perhaps, the blizzard stalling her trip to the mountain resort where the competition is being held.

HE NEEDS A NEW TAKE ON LIFE

Knox is cynical when it comes to love. As a former hockey player, his bank account and notoriety draw the kind of women who see dollar signs instead of lifelong commitment. Finding the stranded stranger tugs at his heartstrings but when he takes her in from the cold, he realizes she’s just as hungry for fame as everyone else.

Will Morgan miss the competition? Or will her life finally fall into place— only to fall apart yet again?

This is a very quick read. You have Morgan's story which doesn't really get into her backstory. She is on her way to the baking competition and she gets stuck on the side of the road during a snow storm.
Knox comes out to see if he can help, but she is too stuck for him to help. He offers her a place to stay until the storm blows over and to get up the mountain to the resort hosting the competition.

Morgan has self-image issues after her cheating ex-husband made her feel too curvy after giving birth to his two kids. Knox however loves how lush and curvy she is, but he has also been burned from women trying to get close to him for his money. They have great chemistry and enjoy getting to know each other in their bubble, but what happens when the storm passes and they go back to their lives?

A little too quick, a lot left out on their backstories, a little too much God talk but overall cute story.

Knox a hunky hockey player turner resort owner. Morgan a divorced mom of two from a man who told her she was ugly and not good at anything. She is on her way to a cake competition when she hits a slick spot on the mountain road and wrecks her van. Knox lives in the area and helps her. She has no idea who he is. He has no idea why she is going to the resort. They are drawn to each other and start a relationship. It gets her disqualified. She runs home, but Knox follows the next morning to set things right.

Good story!

This is a cute feel-good story that brings a Happily Ever After ending for Morgan and Knox. Morgan may have hit bottom but she's the ultimate winner after all!

Knox and Morgan..

I love reading Ivy James books on Stone Gap mountain. What wonderful stories, I just had to read the whole series... Knox a hockey player who owns a ski resort meets Morgan who is in computation in a cake decorating computation. The trails they both go through looking for that perfect one to love.

A very sweet story

I loved this sweet little story about Morgan. I would have liked a longer story but this was a good story to pass a lazy day with.
