I am pretty sure everyone is sold on this book with the cover alone. Even after reading this book, I'm gonna keep coming back just to look at the cover. Maybe I'll even frame a print of it. And keep a copy of it on my nightstand. Because obviously that would be completely normal.

I have read my fair share of M/M/F books and I was actually going into this one thinking that this would be just that. Except this one includes brothers. I was intrigued to say the least. However, that is not the case. I galloped into a definite love triangle instead.

The book begins with Joelle running away from an abusive relationship. She jumps in a moving train and doesn't get off until she reaches a small mountainous town. Just like me, she tends to do things without thinking them through. So, of course, she left without any belongings. In this small town of 5000, she comes across two brothers who happen to be super generous and kind when it comes to soaking wet, beautiful, and vulnerable women.

Zach and Jesse are brothers who are also best friends. They are the only grandchildren of the town's founder and are well known and respected, but also desired by all who have a vagina. And with them both falling for Joelle, this leaves many members of the female population unhappy. I don't blame them. Go back and look at that cover.

"Somehow, Zach and I had made this unspoken promise through nothing more than brotherly vibes that Joelle was off limits. She'd gone through something terrible with the asshole she left behind, and she was vulnerable. The hurt was still fresh and raw, and her heart was still unprotected. Neither of us wanted to take advantage of that."

As Joelle finds herself falling for both brothers and each of them falling for her too, this leaves a very complicated situation. That sexual tension though. Phew. I would like to be a fly on that wall, that is for sure.

After realizing it is in fact not a polyamorous story, I am all like who does she end up with!! I freaking hate love triangles.

The book is written in all three perspectives which is great because that leaves the ending a surprise. I found the dialogue funny and I didn't get bored. The characters were thought out well and were not one dimensional. They had depth and each had their own conflicts. I sometimes get bored when there is too much description. This book had the perfect amount.

And the sexytimes were written fabulously. I was definitely impressed with the author and how she made each part different ... when Joelle was with Zach or with Jesse or when they were all together. Those parts were written carefully because the author obviously doesn't want it impacting how you feel with the overall conclusion.

"The music thrummed around us, and my head was light with it all. As Zach's kiss deepened, Jesse came up behind me and pressed his hard body against me. I was tucked between them, and I knew nothing after this moment would ever be the same."

She does choose. I feel like the conclusion should have been executed a bit better. It all came to an end instantaneously with only a paragraph of inner dialogue thinking her decision through. Although the first 75% of the book had her falling for both brothers equally and not having an actual preference. Even though I am not unhappy with the outcome, I wish the author took a bit more time putting it all together and I would have enjoyed an epilogue as well.

It could have been a 5-star read for me if the ending wasn't so underwhelming. Next time Tess, next time. And keep up the good work with cover selection.

I have no idea how old everyone is. None. They act like teenagers, but are supposed to be older. This whole story seemed to be a high school drama, not taking place in a high school.

These two brothers may look hot as sin (if looking at the cover), but they are pretty immature. And they slept with every girl/woman in town. Sometimes more than once. And everyone knows it. There's talk of threesomes and friends with benefits. It's like all they do is work, drink and have sex. I can't stand such characters, don't know why. I need my heroes to be not manwhores. In the past I would get really angry and be really disappointed. But now I've read it so many times, it becomes boring and unimaginative.

I didn't feel any connection between Jesse & Joelle or Zach & Joelle. None, not even a spark.

Another thing is the dialogue. It felt unnatural and fake. No one speaks like this in real life, it didn't flow at all.

And then when Sage magically appears after 4 years with the son of Zach. Yeah, super duper. Not. It's 4 years too late. That's when I abandoned this story. It's just not for me. Sorry.

oooooook O-O so this was interesting.

I think the cover and the name is sort of miss leading. Like yes there is a M/F/M type of relationship going on but not in the way that you would think. It begins with Joelle who is running away from an abusive relationship. Zach and Jesse are brothers who find Joelle needing a home so they welcome her in their home. This is where it becomes complicated cause both brothers from the moment they meet her, like her a lot so in a way its like a love triangle but it can come off as a M/F/M. I think it was a good book but I do think it could have been a little bit more stretched out and not have many things happen so quickly. I also feel that there were a lot of ideas being thrown around like M/F/M, love triangle, Runaway, Forgotten-love, etc. It would have been a lot better for it to not have so much of these ideas all at once maybe even make it into a series so they wouldn't be so clumped up in one book. Overall really liked this book it did give me what I wanted in a way.

Let me start by saying that if it weren't for the cover, I'd probably skip this one.

I was weak, I admit. I saw the cover, salivated for ten whole minutes (I kid you not! It was embarassing) and only then did I read the discription. So I thought "Ok, two brothers, bladesmiths no less, one girl and a dog. This could be either really good or really smutty, with a lot of kink." Pervert that I am I was hoping for latter.

Sure, a lot of people would argue that, where brothers are concerned, it's icky and weird and all kinds of wrong. It's the same argument that The Vampire Diaries fandom voiced through the years. I, for one, never had the same hang ups. Not in my books or shows, at least. I'm greedy that way. I like my smut really smutty. And those guys on the cover? Can you honestly say that you wouldn't want to get it on with both of them? Aha, I thought so.

So what went wrong? Why only 3 stars?

One star went out because Jo was portrayed as this perfect little angel. "Oh, she's so pretty, oh, she's so talented, she's a shiny star fallen from the sky." It went on and on and on.

The other star was sacrificed for not enough sex. It was like you blink and you miss it. Such a let down.

Over and out

I had different expectations from this book, I have to admit that. Somehow the book went on the road I wanted, but it turned a 180 degrees when Zach had the "revelation".
I wanted a complete trio - yeah, I might have a fetish with treesomes - but that ending... cut me open. It took me a long time to read this book, because I was afraid about what was going to happen. I kept thinking that if I postponed reading it, things were going to end the way I wanted. But... deep in my heart I knew Joelle had to take a decision.
Favorite quote:
"I had a heart. It might have been buried deeper than the normal person's, but it had been exposed. The protective layers were gone, and I wondered just how the hell I was going to keep it from being shredded.”

I will not fall in cover lust.

I will wait for more reviews.

I will check back daily to look at the cover, I mean read reviews ;)

REVIEW....
I finally read it, well some of it, 85% of it, and the trainwreck made me so sad I quit reading :/

The trio evolved believably and naturally instead of being farcical with a side of fantastical overkill...not two hot dudes lookin for a chick to share, but three lonely fucked up individuals finding a semblance of happiness in a peaceful existence. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a ménage to work out so much as this one. But it ends M/F not M/F/M. 3 stars for would could have been...

2... no, 1.5 Stars~~
Tricked by scruffy hot guys with ink, again. Damn my cover lusting ways.

My list of reasons this didn't do it for me:
-Stiff dialogue
-Lack of chemistry
-Wishy washy characters
-A sex scene unworthy of a repeat performance.
-Loose ends tied up quickly, in an overly convenient way.
-The ending.
-Joelle and Zach
-Joelle and Jesse
-Just plain ole Joelle.

First, I have to say that is one HOT cover!!!

Second, Picturing those two hotties from said cover made Tess Oliver's words even more delightful! Who wouldn't want two amazing, hard working, GOOD guys fall in love with them? Brothers, yummy!

Three, This is my first book by Tess Oliver. She has written a crazy amount of novels! After reading Brothers, I can promise you I will be reading her books from now on! She seemed to know exactly what I personally want to read about.

Four, If I loved it so much why not five stars? #1 #2 But that's just me. I think most people will love the ending.

Five, Read This Book! You'll be happy you did!

The cover and title alone sold me on the romantic novel, but I also was intrigued by the blurb. I had no idea where the book was going. I didn't know if this was a three-way type of book or a love triangle and I felt like for about half the book. And I have to say it was little of both.

This was a fun, sexy read with a little angst thrown in for good measure. The steamy scenes were plenty hot and the I fell in love with each brother equally. I felt like Joelle, torn between the two for most of the book and still at the end I hadn't a clue who I loved more. The writing was fun with perfect blend of angst a humor. Pick it up for a sexy and hot easy read.

3.75 STARS.

This book was hard to rate. The story line wasnt bad but it wasnt great either. I loved the relationship between the brothers and I wasnt completely turned off by the relationship they shared with Joelle. With that being said I wasnt impressed with Joelle. In my opinion she seemed a little immature and all her decision were based on her past relationship. So I am glad with who she ended up because I liked the other brother alot more.

I also didnt like the ending; it felt rushed and forced.

Overall not bad and it was cute.

I was once again intrigued by the synopsis on this one. What I did not expect at all is the way the story unfolded. I like when a book can make be think of different possibilities. The setting was wonderful. Jesse and Zach were HOT! Both of them different yet so very kind and attentive and possessive. The secondary characters added some interest to the story beyond the main characters.

Secretly, whispers--*I liked the ending in my head better*. But, this was an ok way to go and everyone ends up happy in the end. So there you go!

Big points for cover hotness on this one!

This book wasn't what I was expecting. It was a love triangle with a menage scene. Overall, the story was a little unbelievable but when you are desperate to leave I would jump on a train to escape too.

The brothers are awesome and I love that the story was told in all three POV's. While the ending was predicable, I didn't mind. It didn't hold my interest as much but I would read more from this author.

Smoking Hot Cover Lukewarm Story.
Gotta say the cover had me intrigued and so did the brief synopsis, but unfortunately the story fell woefully short of my expectations. this was my 1st book by this author and probably my last.
The writing is a bit amateur and disjointed.
There were some pretty obvious mistakes in detail descriptions and the supposed love triangle/polygamous story line was a mislead as that isn't what happens at all.
It felt like the author had read Maya Banks' Colter Brothers series book 1 and tried her hand at something similar which did not hit its intended mark.
I really wanted to like this book and didn't give up reading till the end hoping it would turn around but NOPE. The end was a complete out of left field kinda rushed mess that sparked more questions than anything. Overall super anticlimactic.

I love a good menage and I started this with a reasonable expectations. Especially looking at that cover. What I got was a daft plot that read like a high school drama with childlike characters.

This is another example where the synopsis leads you to think you are going to read one thing but when you get into the bones of the story - it doesn't happen that way.

For this to work I wanted some heat, a connection at least but it wasn't there between the three characters. Added to this was the dialogue between the three of them. It was stilted, unnatural.

Out of the blue and towards the end, Tess Oliver throws in the reappearance of Sage after 4 years with a "surprise" This was daft really and served little purpose.

Failed to deliver storyline or plot.

Bummer the ending really sucked. I was really looking forward to a triad relationship and that didn't happen. Sorry but the chemistry between the three of them was off the charts then it takes a sudden turn? Didn't work for me.

I really enjoy this author's romances...they are usually pretty real and very family oriented and this book is no exception. I have to be honest and say that the cover completely caught my attention in a big way...I mean holy smokes it is hot...but the story was a lot sweeter and more poignant than I thought it would be and I loved the surprise ending. It was fulfilling and made me happy for all three of them...brothers who loved each other fiercely and a damaged/abused young woman who needed to be loved and protected from those who would do her more harm than good.
If you are expecting just an erotic menage book, this might not be what you wanted...but you will love it anyway. While there is a very steamy threesome scene, the love story has more depth and deals with some interesting family dynamics. I was definitely very pleased with how it all played out.

Okay

I have tried so many times to read her books and I just can't get past the way Tess Oliver writes conversation as though it were being read from a script; it's so formal and unnatural and it really gets my goat. I normally just stop reading when other authors do it but I've been trying to figure out what Tess Oliver's stories have that make her such a prolific author.
I gave this one a decent go, read until toward the end because I thought the concept seemed cool.
There is obviously something about this author that people love as she has a big fan base but I just can't count myself as one of them.

My rating for this book by the end was a 4 star rating but I did say if my prediction of who she was going to pick was wrong I would give it an extra star. By 10% of this book I was predicting which brother she was going to stay why because in most books the lead always pick the same type of Mc. So in my head I said this isn't going to be different but it was!! So in my personal opinion I think if a book that doesn't follow the norm deserves to be praised and have a higher rating.

The only thing I didn't like so much was the female lead actions, she had just gotten out of a physical and emotion abusive relationship and she started to have feeling for both of this brothers right away. I understand it would be close to impossible not to fall for this two but for me she needed to heal herself and be independent first but she jump right to it.

The scenes with the two brothers and her made me crinch, at first I thought she was dreaming because I my head I said no not possible. For me friends sharing the same girl is a no no imagine two brothers sharing the same girl. How can someone go back from that.

But I love both guys individually, I love the scenes she shared with them individually but I love one brother more than the other right away. I can't say who because I did say she picked the one I didn't predict and that is who was my choice for her.

Overall a good book, that has unpredictable ending.

This didn't go the way I expected it would go and I'm not completely mad about but at the same time What the hell?!?!?!

It's a small town romance, starts off as MFM until the last 3 chapters and then boom It's not MFM anymore. We are given 29 chapters of JessexJoellexZach content until its not anymore and Sage appears back in Zach's life with a baby! I DIDN’T EXPECT IT!

Anyway, I enjoyed tess oliver's writing as well as her style of romance, I think I will read more of her 📚!!!

Brothers by Tess Oliver is an amazing new book that is written a little differently, but oh so good! As in all books by this author I have read, there is a lot of angst, great characters that are well developed, a plot that twists and turns so when you feel like you have figured it out, and it goes another way!

In this story there are three hot and sexy and oh so handsome men, two of which are brothers, the third is like their brother as they have been friends their whole lives. Zach and Jesse are brothers by blood and they are very close, and come from a famous family of Bladesmiths, and they are the remaining two who keep the business going. Sundance, is their friend and he has a different job, working as a leathersmith which is what his family has also passed down to their children.

The other main character is a young woman named Joelle, who has had a horrible life since she got together with her highschool boyfriend, who was the most popular guy in school until he had an injury in sports that caused him to have no more chance at being an athlete. When the woman who raised Joelle died, she moved in with her boyfriend so she would not have to live alone. However her boyfriend is physically and mentally abusive and Joelle can't take it anymore when he takes all her money and forces her in his truck even though she doesn't want to be near him. In a moment of desperation, Joelle gets out of his jeep as the train is coming and she hops the train!

Joelle gets off in Tanglewood, a nice little city where the whole main street is covered with different types of stores, but she has no money for food, no clothes except what she is wearing and no hope. Joelle winds up walking toward a cabin with smoke coming out of the chimney and attempts to steal a jacket she sees as she is so cold. Jesse and Zach can't believe what they are seeing and run out after Joelle, to help her and she gets scared and runs. They catch her and find out what is going on and she is so hungry and cod she passes out.

This starts a case of two brothers who will do anything for Joelle, even though they both win up wanting her and she feels the same way-she wants them both!

Read on and see how this book turns out-you will be glad you did, and the ending is quite a surprise! This book has it all and it is one of the best books I have read by this author, and that is saying alot as I love all of her books! This one is special though! Do not miss out on my favorite book this year to date!

I gave this book 5*****amazing stars, and can't wait for my next read by Tess Oliver!

YOU PROBABLY THINK YOU KNOW....YOU DON'T!!!!

First, let's all admit, that book cover, alone.. (fanning myself)....These guys should be working everyday, and more authors should use them....And, even better, I could picture them as the characters throughout the whole book, and, for me, that is not always the case...
But, then, we see Tess Oliver's name on the book...and, to me, it's really a no-brainer...but if you really need more reasons to buy Brothers, here's what I will tell you.....
So, this is a book about one girl and two guys....(Read it? No you haven't!!)
Joelle, who is desperate and miserable, escapes her worthless and abusive boyfriend while they are stopped at the crossbars waiting for a train to pass.....you can't even guess how....don't try....
And, Zack and Jesse are brothers...Hot, Gorgeous, sexy, plus they're just good, sweet and (I have to say) very patient guys concerning Joelle.....:
Zack and Jesse live in a small town, where their family goes back generations, and they are quietly carrying on the family business.....everyone knows and loves them....they love the ladies, and ALL the ladies love them...
(I've lived my whole life in a small town, so I get the dynamic....Everyone knows everyone and all of their business!!!!)
So, with their gorgeous looks, their family name and just who they are as people, they are well loved and respected...
Their situation...It's like a "big fish in a little pond" type thing.....
Anyway, Joelle "dives into" their "little pond." And the way they meet her....only Tess Oliver!!!
Both brothers fall in love with her, (Poor Joelle, right?) and she falls in love with both of them (who wouldn't??? Did you see the book cover???)..... and that's as much as I'm revealing, because I don't like spoilers!! I want you to have the fun and excitement I had reading this book....and I did...I read all night, because I just could not put it down until I was completely finished...And I'll definitely read it again.....
But, I will say this, Tess Oliver likes to surprise us, and BROTHERS is full of surprises! It's definitely another winner for her and US!!!!
You may have read a book or two about brothers falling in love with the same girl....maybe...but this is a different take on that premise, and the difference is, Tess Oliver wrote this one.....Her brain just doesn't work like ours, which is lucky for us!!!...
Seriously, I'm still shaking my head over the ending!!!!

Wasn’t sure what to expect. This is my first book from this author. I was pleasantly surprised.

Joelle, alone in life found herself in a bad relationship with an abusive a-hole. It got so bad that she literally jumped on a moving train to get away from him.

The train took her to a small town, Tanglewood, where she was fortunate to be caught stealing a coat from the Coltrane brothers.

They took her in, gave her a home and a town to call her own. She found herself attracted to both brothers and them to her. This causes a little tension and it was all good until one drunken night. Then things went downhill.

I enjoyed this book more than I expected. It was well written and edited. The story was fast moving and engaging. The brothers were hot as hell and they are bladesmiths. They forge metal into gorgeous blades. That is just sexy af!

I got this book through BookBub at a discounted price and it was more than worth it. I will have to check out more books from this author.

P.S. the dudes on the cover.... Yum!

It gets three stars because I liked the writing.
But the story..meh.

the brothers are loyal and I liked their relationship. I think I would have preferred had the author gone down the two brothers share one woman trope road because for them both to sleep with her at the same time, then the story took a dip into she didn't know who she wanted and both brothers were at loggerheads over it, but there was zero discussion about the sexy-threeway at all.

the end was rushed, (for me ) and all too convenient with Zach's old love coming back into the picture with no back story or explanation. Within one page it was sorted out that now both brothers had someone and the whole "which brother will joelle pick" was squared away.

It was an okay premise, I liked the town and the secondary characters and the brothers. Just felt a bit forced and rushed.

This book started of great, I've been in a book slump recently and I managed to read this as it was a good easy read. I read it fairly quickly too.
It starts of with the main girl character running away from a bad situation which leads her to these two brothers. I love Jesse and Zach, great characters by the way. I also liked Joelle but at times I felt she was a tiny bit annoying but I didn't hate her.
I felt there could of been a bit more put in to this book and also I felt maybe there could been more of an explanation why she chose Jesse in the end of the book. I'm happy that zach got back together with his old girlfriend but I felt the ending was a little bit rushed in my opinion. I'm torn between giving this a 3 or 4 star rating.. hmm. 3 and a half stars?

Oh and I love the book cover! 😍
