This is BOOK 5 in the Curse of Clan Ross series.

He should have stayed away from Cockburn Street...
A former MI6 agent, James is rarely afraid. He's traveled back to the fifteenth century--not just once, but twice now--and lived to tell the tale. The third trip will be for personal reasons, however, because he believes in his bones the perfect woman for him is back there somewhere, waiting for him.
Unfortunately, his friends at Castle Ross won't let anyone near their magic portal, so his only hope lies with a pair of middle aged Muir Witches running a tea shop in Edinburgh. They must know all kinds of magic, he's certain, because the last time he saw them...they were about ninety years old.

Phoebe is an unusual combination of klutz and romantic. She's determined to reboot her life, and hopes a trip to The Enchanted Tea Shop will help. Rumor has it the place is run by two honest to goodness witches who are dead-on when it comes to telling fortunes. And if they take her on, she's praying she won't trip and fall on the first step down a new road.
As it happens, that new road she's dreaming of... Well, it's rather old.

Well Written Time Travel Series on Kindle Unlimited

A really good time travel series is hard to find (at least on K U) because authors often interject contemporary speech, objects or behaviors into the story which, if repeated, will cause me to quit the book right there because it’s an irritating form of laziness or ignorance that shows disrespect for the period of time, the characters in the story and the intelligence of the reader. Ok, that is off my chest! This author makes very few mistakes so I will gently chide that rocking chairs were not invented until the early 18th century.

I love the characters, the plotting, the period of times these characters visit and the sheer escapism of the stories during the never ending COVID plague, I wish the individual stories were longer and a bit more complex but they are still entertaining.

The writing style is sometimes lyrical, the conversations intelligent and the historical perspectives always feels relevant, especially commentaries and actions that reveal how women were viewed and treated. Oh, in every book I find there are scenes that make me laugh out loud which is the chocolate icing on the cake.

Fan of the curse of Clan Ross. #5 although was okay just did not hold the edge the others in this series accomplished. Perhaps it was the knowing the time travel was going to happen that spoiled the suspense Still a tale worth reading with the witch sisters matchmaking skills for James and Phoebe.

Somewhere In Time love does exist

James and Phoebe a couple whose greatest friend as well as for is time. Star crossed lovers stuck in time neither here or back there. They are always searching for something or someone never looking what it who is right in front of fuel-efficient Somewhere in time - their time will come and when that happens - their time will come.

Grand storytelling

L.L. Muir is surely related to Lorretta and Loraine. Story of James (M16 or like U.S. Secret Service) and Phoebe, both from the 21 century but had to us Muir talents and Wickham to go to the 14th century to actually fall in 💘. I like reading the time travelers, you will also. Enjoy

Time travel

An interesting time travel with witches and magic. A clean romance so not pages and pages of detailed sex, thank goodness

James, the fifth book in this series follows the same excellence in storytelling that one becomes accustomed to when reading a L.L.Muir book. Treat yourself.

Those Muirs are at it again!

There is no doubt if you need help accomplishing any thing at all, you can't ask for better than seeking help from the Muirs! However it can't be discounted their primary goal is matchmaking and will take you through all sorts of machinations to achieve this goal, and therein lies a tale, well worth the read!
