Holly Daniels has lost almost everything she ever cared about. Her father’s death left her mother in pieces and relegated her dreams of a college education to the rubbish heap. Exiled from birth, she has no Pack to turn to and finds herself working as a waitress in a sleazy strip-club.
When Lucas, the alpha’s son, re-enters Holly’s life, she surrenders to the fiery connection that burns between them. But can she trust Lucas, when all he cares about is the Pack she should have called home?
Lucas Channing spent years unsuccessfully trying to convince his father that Holly is his fated mate. But a half-breed exile is the last thing his father wanted for a daughter-in-law— until the Pack is attacked from inside and every wolf offers the chance for the Pack to regain its former glory.
When Holly is caught in the middle of a bitter family feud that threatens her freedom, she must learn to trust in the love that Lucas holds for her… or lose him forever.
Wow...just wow. I would be pissed to if I found out that the guy I liked was only there with me to make puppies... That is what the whole thing comes down to. Five years.. And only now he comes to her on his father's wishes. I would have run away from the bastards. Also her mother just acts like everything is ok that they were exiled so long ago only to be brought back now. Stupid.
The plot is pretty good but there are numerous typos and incorrect syntecs throughout the book. Lunas has to first find and then save his fated mate after she was banished from the pack.
Louisa James story Lucas is a short story filled with mystery, terror, lost love, spoiled friendships, and werewolves. Lucas and Holly, the main characters, are likable and believable. Though short, the story provides a decent enough background of the two characters, a few struggles that the must overcome, and a failed relationship hurdle. The book was a decent short read however skipped or shortened details that would have made the book a better read.
Its short so the plot is kind of choppy. The relationship between the main characters is not very developed. More stockholm syndrome than anything else. Not really my cup of tea.
