A Little Cancer on the Side: A Survivor's Book of Laughter and Inspiration

Rate this book
A Little Cancer on the Side: a Survivor's Book of Laughter and Inspiration takes readers on a spirited, comic journey through the author's life as a breast cancer survivor. The author embraces it all -- the inane and the profound -- by transforming pain into humor and a life-threatening illness into an opportunity to "wake up." From a reconstructed breast that "acts and thinks like a stomach" to the "everyday blessings" available when we stay present, readers will be deeply touched by this little gem of a book.

A must read for anyone who has or loves someone who has cancer. Knowing first hand the severity of Jill's initial diagnosis and much of her subsequent treatment, I can attest to her unique ability to "lighten up" the darkest of circumstances. She puts a humorous twist on experiences every cancer patient can relate too. Her story will inspire those who may have done so, not to give up hope. Great effort Jill!

Great book for anyone who is/has going through cancer. She has a great way of poking fun at the horrible side effects of Cancer and treatments.
