Everything is finally coming together for Liz Brantley.
She's marrying Ryland Vaughn, the man of her dreams, overcome the demons that have haunted her, and left her dark history far behind.
Or so she thought.
But some ghosts from the past refuse to stay buried.
She’s made a critical error, keeping a vital and potentially detrimental secret from Ryland. The truth hunts her down in a way she never imagined, and her secret claws to the surface, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake.
The past screams its fury as a storm builds, bringing with it the one person she never wanted to see again.
The demon Kade capitalizes on the fracture in their bond, drawing Liz and Ryland deeper into his tangled web, and exacting his special brand of torture. With a vengeance.
With her worst nightmare tightening it’s grip, she fights to break its hold while hanging on to the man she loves. Torn between her tormented past and the future she craves, she’s forced to face her sins and the damage they’ve wreaked.
Can she defeat her demons before the hell she created swallows her whole?

Author. Fighter. Survivor.

Amy doesn’t just write, she pours her guts on the page, honestly and brutally revealing herself in the process.

Nothing is off limits.

She faces the tough topics head on and doesn’t pull punches, confronting her own demons along the way.

Her favorite question is “what if?”, and she believes fiction can be truer than our sheltered and controlled realities.

She’s a lover of music, chocolate, MMA, the beach, and cherry vanilla Coke. Most days, it’s a shock the neighbors aren’t knocking on her door, telling her to turn the music down.

It is her firm belief that everyone should have a theme song.

Originally from Arkansas, Amy currently resides in Indiana. She longs for the day when she can return to her Southern home, and write her adventures of love and war on a back porch overlooking the hills she loves.

With her music ringing across the valley.

If you enjoyed the first book of this series, Rebirth, you will enjoy this one even more. Well, I did anyway. The characters become even more real, deeper, more raw. You get to find out Liz's secrets, and watch her and Ryland grow more connected--not that it's easy. There's conflict aplenty. Still lots of action and peril. A great sequel! Definitely looking forward to book 3.

Read the whole thing: http://like-a-fangirl.blogspot.pt/201...

''Reconciliation is not as good as the first one because while Rebirth was fresh, intense, full of battles and romance while this one lacks … development. We get into a loop of same old, same old; which gets boring after 100 pages.

Gods, and I’m in love with Ryland. I think I’ve said this in my previous review; however, in this one he completely got my heart. Such love, such desire, such a brilliantly written character!

Overall, I really liked this book, it is a nice sequel to the first one and I loved the new additions to the crew! I can't wait to read more about Nate and Ilona! ''

I bought this book on debut day. I fell in love with Liz and Ryland and could not wait for more. Liz is such a strong and feisty heroine and Ryland is the one person who can keep up with her. If you've read Rebirth, Reconciliation picks up right where Rebirth ends. If you haven't, then go read it now! [stop here for if you don't want Rebirth spoilers] If you're a fan of "Supernatural", you'll love it!

Reconciliation is every bit as good as Rebirth. The same fast-paced, soul-searching, gut-wrenching, edge of your seat excitement. Liz and Ryland know there's trouble, but all they want to do is have a bit of downtime before their wedding. Well, that doesn't happen when you fight demons. Alex, Liz's diabolical ex is back and threatens to tear Liz and Ryland apart. Reconciliation also introduces us to Nate and Ilona, who are great characters in their own right. And of course, the angels are fun with their distinct personalities, and lots of great nasty demons and bad guys.

Reconciliation was a gut-wrenching and intense supernatural suspense full of surprises and and realistic struggles. I like how Amy took us deeper with Liz and showed how she continued to struggle with her various issues--there was no magic pill, no easy recovery. Loved it!

If you enjoy contemporary supernatural suspense with battles between humans and demons, check out The Reluctant Warrior Chronicles.

Reconciliation book 2

I was fortunate to read book 2 before book 1. However the benefit is this story provided the necessary information without confusion. Although book 1 would have had all the details that led up to all those glossed over events here in book 2, it was enough highlights to understand. Constant action from the first page until the end. It does cover some trigger topics of rape and sex trafficking. Details aren’t provided but enough to clue the reader in about the severity and trauma. Overall an in-depth romance between a couple in love and fighting to resolve issues along with being human warriors fighting demons. It’s a bit chaotic but once into the story things smooth out. After some mental adjustment, I enjoyed the story. It is different but interesting

Could not put this down!

Romance with a side of demon fighting or demonfighting with a side of romance? You'll have to decide for yourself. This author is adept at telling both sides and keeps you wanting more.

So…what does one do when one has invested so much time into an emotional read?

I am not even sure I have the words to describe how powerful this novel was nor how it impacted me at a time I needed it most. Liz became almost like a best friend as I struggled through things in my life while I was reading. It also helped opened my eyes to how my choices could affect situations in a way that could hurt those I love around me the most, even if I didn’t think it could.

However, even though there were some really deep and dark moments, I found myself laughing quite often over small things such as couponing. Those moments made it just as special to me as I think it did the characters.

Though this small review does not even hit the tip of the iceberg of again how powerful this novel is, DO NOT let this series pass you by. I thought I wouldn't read a paranormal novel, but it has been one of the most powerful series I have read. I have a new appreciation for the relationship I have with my husband as well as a new peace that I can live as an overcomer in this life, whether it be surrendering anger, unforgiveness, or fear.

A must read for any book reader who loves Christian speculative fiction with romance, action, and strong threads of forgiveness.

This is the 1st book I've read written by Amy Brock McNew; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

I love the fact that the author continued to give us great character work and a great story that flowed very smoothly. I enjoyed this book just as much as I did the first book in the series. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Wow. McNew took the action, romance, emotional struggle, and dark undercurrent of Rebirth and kicked it up several notches in Reconciliation. New characters and plot twists were introduced, adding complications and tension as the personal and spiritual battles intensified. I continued to enjoy Liz and Ry's relationship, though it was challenging to see them go through so much turmoil. Moments of humor still shone through, especially with the guardian angels, but on the whole the tone was darker than Rebirth. And while I appreciated that Reconciliation didn't shy away from difficult issues, it did make it hard to read at times.

Bottom line: if you liked Rebirth, you don't want to miss the continuation of the story in Reconciliation, told in the raw, action-packed narrative style McNew has perfected.

We all have our purpose in life. It seems that while some struggle to find meaning in their lives, others know exactly why they are here and what they need to do. Finding our reason for being can be difficult, especially when you add demons, angels and deep dark secret into the mix.  “Reconciliation: Book Two of the Reluctant Warrior Chronicles” is a story of forgiveness and trust.

“Reconciliation: Book Two of the Reluctant Warrior Chronicles”  continues the story of Elizabeth Brantley, a warrior of God, here to fight against the demons who threaten her world. Liz finally feels like she can have it all. She is about to marry the man of her dreams and has accepted her position as a warrior. That is, until a secret from her past is revealed.  As her life begins to crumble around her, demonic forces threaten to tear apart the lives of those she loves the most.  Has Liz made a mistake putting her trust in God, her guardian angel and Ryland?
“Reconciliation: Book Two of the Reluctant Warrior Chronicles”, by Amy Brock McNew is a story of the battle between heaven and hell and the humans who are caught in between. As Liz struggles with her faith, we are reminded that God is always there for us. Even during her lowest moments, he is there protecting her, just as he is there for us. When life is at it’s most difficult, we need to put our trust in Him.

Liz struggles with forgiveness. She carries her past hurts around with her, until they threaten to consume her. Forgiveness is difficult. All to often we want to cling to those past hurts and lash out at those who hurt us.  We mistakenly believe that by offering forgiveness we are forgetting the injustice that was done to us. The story reminds us that we need to offer forgiveness to those who have wronged us, or we find will find ourselves falling further and further away from God.

“Reconciliation: Book Two of the Reluctant Warrior Chronicles” also reminds us that we need to take time to listen to what God wants to tell us. Sometimes it will occur in the heat of the moment, but other times we need to sit and listen during the quiet moments too. God has given us free will and it is up to us to choose to follow him or go our own way.

“Reconciliation: Book Two of the Reluctant Warrior Chronicles” is a great sequel to “Rebirth: Book One of the Reluctant Warrior Chronicles“.  It is a stand alone book, but I enjoyed it more after taking some time to re-read book one and reacquaint myself with Liz and Ryland. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
