Two men...one an honorable but poor soldier...the other an aging Lord looking for a wife.
Society demands that money marry money, but when the heart demands something, or someone, different, it takes courage to run with your passions and not the pretenses of tradition.
These are the dilemmas that Sophia Burton and Linda Hawkes must face as they consider their future, and the men who will stand by their side. Neither are ready to concede to an arranged marriage that chains them to convention and misery.
Neither wants to be ...the wrong bride ...for the wrong man ...for the wrong reasons.
Can they step beyond their fears and find a way to true love and lasting happiness?
This book was an easy read. It's about two cousins from two different backgrounds that have to make decisions about their lives and their love that doesn't mesh with those around them. The ending was quick and left a lot to you imagination but it was cute.
Double Passion is a clean Regency Romance by Charity McColl is a delightful short story. It is a good clean story but could have been longer or maybe a sequel about what they are doing now. My free opinion. Thanks
This novel, like so many others, has failed to grab and captivate my attention. There are many different times that I can pick up a novel and cannot finish it at that time; however, I might be able to return to it at a later date. This is one of those, who knows, maybe next time it will be a game changer.
I enjoyed this Historical Romance but found it a little slow going a few places. I voluntarily chose to review this and I've given it a 4.5* rating. There are two heroines and two heros in this story. I found it a little unbelievable to be true in how it worked out. However, it did have a nice ending. This is also No. 25 of the Pure Read Clean Read Vol. 2 bundle of 41. On to the next.
Any easy, entertaining ready that I enjoyed, and short enough to read in one sitting- I had nothing on today, so snuggled down for a good read. I found the main characters easy going, even the heiress who was looking to loose her inheritance if she followed her heart.
This is the 6th book I read by Charity McColl. I really liked this book's storyline. I really liked Sophia's character. I was really happy 😊 for Sophia. I really liked Linda's character. I felt sorry for Linda. I was also happy 😊 for Linda. I didn't like Sophia's parents. I really liked the ending.
Charity McColl has succeeded in presenting the earlier ranks in persons in England based on wealth. The story was well read and the characters true to live making it a great novel for relaxing.
A good, clean story. I enjoyed it from beginning to end, especially finding out how Sophia and Linda each got the right man--the ones they loved. I would recommend this book to everyone.
Love the character development with each girl. So important to realize in life that love isn’t about money. Such a life lesson from beginning to the end.
