I couldn't connect to Hermione in this story. She is just too dumb for my liking, and I don't even mean it in an insulting way. She genuinely appears to have very few brain cells. She doesn't know how to pick her battles so she keeps losing them. I'd rather read about a heroine that is capable of learning from her mistakes eventually. Instead of feeling bad for her, I felt embarrassed.
LUCIUS
I absolutely adore fictional men who have no qualms about dishing out physical and mental abuse on the women they're obsessed with, but Lucius is just too unsexy while doing the most depraved things. He sounds like an old man in the throes of a midlife crisis who has no control over his life so he takes his anger out on on a helpless, defenceless girl.
At least, he is reluctantly obsessed with her to the point he can't stand not being around her for too long so he visits her often enough to torture and abuse his lovely dumb girl some more.
But don't worry he's SO into her the whole time and his predicament only gets worse, so 3 stars it is, I guess jdjddjjdj.
Poor mans has zero self-control when it comes to his prisoner, he's so compulsive and bad at managing his unwelcome feelings, it's almost cute.
Phew, where to start? I would have given it 3 stars. However, out of respect for the enormous effort of the writer will give it a star more.
First, the negative. Hermione isn't comparable to the "real" Hermione. The writer gives this warning at the beginning, so I won't take it into account for the rating. There were times, however, when she was just acting so dumb. Then again, torture might do that to you.
Lucius at first feels like proper Lucius. His character deteriorates as the story progresses. We end up with a Lucius who feels like a Newby to magic who makes decisions that are completely delulu with absolutely no plan.
Then the biggest no: the surprise pregnancy. This I will also not take into account for the rating, as it is a personal pet peeve. And I get why in the story, this provides a way to convince Lucius and find a way out for Hermione.
The positive: This is the first Lucius/Hermione story I started and finished. It kept me fascinated. Even though the story was flawed, I had to keep going. The story also made me enthusiastic to read more of this pairing.
While the surprise pregnancy is a pet peeve, it didn't stop me from reading. Because it serves a purpose.
And finally, that last chapter. 🙌 Dear writer, that was pure poetic with the correct amount of sadness for me. 4 🌟 Please keep writing.

Meh. Egregious gratuitous torture porn for most of the book. No idea why these two fell in “love”. Stockholm syndrome and obsession, yes. Love absolutely not. This was not a Hermione I could recognise, like or relate to and I have no clue why Lucius was attracted to her.
