I loved the story line. It was a nice steady pace through the book. The characters to me needed a little more build to them. For us to connect more to them. Some spots needed a little more detail of things. But all in all, I loved the story. I was able to read all the way through even though there was things I thought it needed. Still a good read. Sure want to know what happens next to them. Hope to read more of your books.
Thank you, for letting me read your story for free.
An interesting prequel that is a real teaser for a series and you just have to find out what happens. I liked the characters we meet and really want to find out what happens with the clan. I received this book from the author for signing up to her newsletter. Have bought the next book in this series. This is my honest review.
Found this one on Instafreebie and figured since I already read books 1 and 2 the prequel would just be the icing on the cake for me. I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it.
Great short story about people who can shift into dragons. Characters were solid and it had lots of action. I have not read the books in this series, but this story sure makes me want to!
This is a prequel that is a great teaser for the series, I liked the characters and really want to find out what happens with the rest of the clan. I received this book from the author for signing up to her newsletter and so glad I did. This is my honest unbiased review.
Simon McCord is a dragon that knows his father's death has more to it. He just can't prove it. When Simon meets Emily everything for him changes. Emily moved to Simon's town so she could fly unrestricted unlike her old home. Emily is smitten for Simon. Together they make a great couple until Simon's alpha attempts to horn in on Simon's territory. What will happen next? Your answers await you in Exiled Dragons.
Lovely story for it's length. I'm happy to have read it. The characters and story were real, gritty, bold, rich, raw, down to earth, honest, and refreshing too. I look forward to more in this series and from this author.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This review is for this book and Betrayed by a Dragon, the longer version of this book.
This was alright. I read both the first novella and the re-written, longer one and the story was interesting but the writing really could have been a little bit better. I mean, I have an idea about what the characters look like but there could have been more description, could have painted more of a picture.
I am really glad that she wrote it again and added the backstory for the little mystery the brothers had to go through, it added a bit more flavor to it, made it just a little more interesting.
The two covers are competing for my favorites but the second one does have my favorite colors, black and purple.
The pace, for the second one, is excellent for the story, the first one seemed rushed. For the second one, there are four more stories that come with it but I haven’t read those yet, I was only going for the first one so, maybe I’ll get to those at a later date but I am slightly interested in the books continuing the Exiled Dragons series that I received from the author.
I would recommend for those who are interested in a quick read with simple writing.
Connor and Owen find out their father was killed by the current leader, and the decide to prepare to fight back. When Aiden starts to go after Connor's girlfriend they have to rush their plans. And that's how this felt, just a jumble of rushed days. It did not make me want to read this series.
