Willa My best friend, Brecken, collects secrets. So when he tells me he knows a potentially life-destroying secret about someone, I don’t think too much about it.
Until he dies a few hours later.
The police rule his death a suicide, but I’m not convinced. I don’t really start to fully question his death, though, until the day Gaige Irvins moves in with me.
Gaige used to be a good guy up until three years ago when he joined the popular group known as the Perfect Rebels. Now he’s a cocky jerk that hasn’t been very nice to me.
I try to keep my distance from him, but no matter how hard I try, I find myself drawn to him, enough to let him kiss me. But that kiss shatters everything and forces me back to reality.
And the reality is Gaige might have had something to do with Brecken’s death.
Gaige Sometimes I feel like the loneliest guy in the world. Do I have friends? Sure. But none of them know the real me, the guy beneath the cocky facade, fake smiles, secrets, and lies.
I wish I could change, but I can’t. Not unless I want to risk my secret getting out. A secret I’m being blackmailed over.
To make things worse, the day I move in with Willa, my blackmailer sends me a new threat: get close to Willa and find out her secrets.
It’s not like his demand is terrible. Willa is gorgeous, just a little strange. But my friends and I haven’t been that nice to her, and I know getting close to her is going to be difficult.
Jessica Sorensen is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author from the snowy mountains of Wyoming. When she's not writing, she spends her time reading and hanging out with her family.
Good just like all of her books, but very, very short. I would suggest not reading it until the others come out because you will be sucked in and then left waiting.
Didn't finish and I wont.... Too many of Jessica's books are now the exact same book with the exact same characters with a slightly different plot twist. It is so frustrating and a waste of money. I may not read many of her new books after I finish the series I am already in. OH! And instead of finishing her in progress series, she continues to rewrite the same book over and over and over again. This book is EXACTLY the Curse of the Soulless with a different twist. So frustrating...
This was a lot shorter than I anticipated. That happens to me, because I never look and see how many pages a book is before I start reading. I'm not really a fan of the short quick read. This one has a good story line though...and man oh man that cliffhanger...it definitely makes sure to leave you hanging so you want to come back for more.
Ok, I'm a huge Jessica Sorensen fan. I love, love, LOVE her books. And this is just another to add to my collection. The mystery....the loss...the heart ache, omg I just loved it. And holy $hits I think I know who the black mailer is and I think he is the one who accidentally killed this poor girl. Yup. just wait.
Finding Wonderful by Jessica Sorensen was very good but ended on a cliffhanger. As in true Jessica Sorensen fashion, the readers get immersed into the characters lives and the conflict tearing their world apart. There is an evolving mystery, a troubled past, and hope for new beginnings. Two unlikely people find themselves placed together because of uncontrollable events.
I thoroughly enjoyed this beginning and can't wait to see what comes next.
Now the cover looks different, is that broken glass? rose petals or? so cool! either way. What a great read, new author to me ... I love the cover ... So many ?'s unanswered. Can't tell ya too much, jump on in & start reading ... ( :
