Quick paced instalove romance. This couple has a feeling that they have met before but their attraction is immediate and electrifying.

Hot, scorching hottttt
Lucia Jordan's wordsmithing in Destiny was so sensually erotic and delicious. I could picture Helena and Devlin come together as they enjoyed each other. I want to read more and find out just what journey these two travel.

I am giving this book half a star. This is the story of Helena Blake and Devlin Lance. They are the made of honor and best man at their friends' wedding. Once they meet there is an instant attraction Helena tries to deny and Devlin could not deny. This attraction leads to an adventure that consist of a whirlwind of lust, an unknowing connection, and family drama.
I have read a lot of Lucia Jordan books. There are hits and misses. I have to say that this is a miss for me. I did not connect with the characters at all. The author made them seem as though they fit together as a couple but there were more of a connection with the damage done in their lives. These were weak characters. Devlin was too cocky and not in a sexy way. He was too pushy and wanted his way, even when Helena was pushing him away. He even at point had to explain to Helena that he was dominating her. If a person has to put that out there then that he is not doing it right or has any idea of how to express that part of himself. I was not interested in him or learning more about him.
Helena has been an obedient person all her life. She was repressed and malleable. She was primed to be a follower by her parents, which had it easy for any man to push his agenda on her. Since she has not been a person to make her own decisions, she does not make great ones when she decides to think on her on. She continually placed herself in Devlin's presence when she knew she could not control herself around him. She tried to hide her weakness under the pretense of being courteous. These 2 also did not work due to the fact that there was no building of trust to get the dom/sub relationship.
There was an underlining mystery that they had met before. It was mentioned many times throughout the story. When the author reveals it, the reason was anticlimatic. That could have been left out of the plot altogether.
While reading, there were missing pages. This caused important pieces of the plot to excluded. I cannot recommend this book at all. There may have been a couple of sexy scenes, but that was not enough to carry this story.

I only want MORE after reading this book...!
Not only was this page turner HOT but just left on with more questions. Helena's mysterious family / past...and what makes the real Devlin Lance, tick! Hooked an eager for more!
