Konecne uz celej book byl jen s Gintamou! Zase skvely pribehy z tohohle sveta, jsem rad ze se tu i vice venovali Shinsengumi poldum a dalsim vedlejsim postavam. Bavi me to porad neskutecne a ty postavy jsou proste lask a hlavne me bavi ze i pres ujety humor, ma skoro kazdy pribeh srdicko!

Po devíti dlouhých měsících se mi tuto celou sérii konečně podařilo dočíst. Ani nevím, jak je možné, že mi to trvalo tak dlouho. Nemyslím si, že je tato manga špatná, to vůbec ne, ale sešlo se více faktorů, jenž mě od pokračování ve čtení odrazovaly. Zaprvé mě některé pasáže nudily, a tak jsem se mnohokrát musela nutit do dalšího čtení. Druhým důvodem je má "čtenářská krize." Od té doby, co jsem na střední, nečtu skoro vůbec. No, není to tím, že bych nečetla, pouze mám rozečtenou spoustu mang, které stále ještě vychází. Pevnou knihu mého výběru jsem nepřečetla pekelně dlouho.
Kresba již od začátku vypadala velice pěkně. Postavy měly poměrně reálné proporce a jejich celkový vzhled na mě působil dobře. Pozadí také mělo krásné detaily. Mým jediným problémem byl přebytek bílého volného místa. Občasné bílé pozadí mi nevadí, ale tady to zpočátku bylo opravdu často. Na konci byla kresba impozantní a byl na ní vidět krásný posun.
Příběh mě zpočátku chytnul a čtení jsem si užívala. Především jsem se těšila pokaždé na odhalení střípku z Gintokiho minulosti. Humor mnohokrát nebyl pro mě zrovna šálek mého čaje, na druhou stranu mě spousta scének vykouzlila úsměv na tváři. Během mého proplouvání dějem jsem se musela do čtení někdy nutit, neboť mě některé i velké pasáže nebavily. Když jsem měla za sebou už poměrně velkou část celé této série, vyrušoval mě často rychlý přechod mezi humornými a seriozními arci. Sice se v obou občas objevil náznak toho druhého, avšak vždy pouze na chvíli. Proto jsem ty arci, které nebyly vážné, někdy ani nepovažovala za součást příběhu a trvalo mi, než mi došlo, že to nejsou žádné fillery. Od nějakého bodu se mi to čtení vleklo, a přestože mě i to, co se zrovna odehrávalo zajímalo, nemohla jsem se začíst.
Tato manga měla rozhodně zajímavý nápad na svět. Období Edo je sice hojně používané, ale ještě jsem snad nečetla žádnou mangu s mimozemšťany. Ke všemu zde měli v jistém smyslu pozitivní influenci, protože přivezli na Zemi všechna možná vylepšení a technologie. Na druhou stranu se jich většina nad lidmi povyšovala a pozemšťany považovali za podřadnou rasu. Člověk musel litovat samuraje, neboť najednou ztratili svoji pozici a svůj styl života. V širším pohledu na svět to avšak smysl dává. V našem světe totiž taky ve velkém množství zemí nesmí být civilisté ozbrojeni.
Na této sérii se mi líbily různé narážky na jiné populární série. Avšak byly poměrně časté, a tak po nějaké době už na mě neměly takový dopad. Některé parodie byly ale opravdu dobré a rozesmály mne. Komické také bylo bourání čtvrté stěny, kde postavy různě reagovaly na to, jak se vysílá anime adaptace a jak se daří manze v Shonen Jumpu, který Gintoki a jiné charaktery pravidelně četly.
Jak jsem již zmiňovala, spoustu pasáží mě nudilo. Dokonce mě nebavily i celé arci. Nesedlo mě třeba téma či něco, okolo se celý děj točil a já se pak nemohla začíst, protože mě to nudilo. Dokonce mě někdy nezajímaly ani seriózní arci, na které jsem byla natěšená. Hádám, že mě asi už začínají nudit klasické myšlenky, i když byly třeba dobře zpracované. Nebo nevím no, z nějakého důvodu tohle není prostě šálek mé kávy.
Často mi nesedl humor. Což je zrovna u této série velký špatný, neboť to má být jeden z taháků této série. Hodně vtipů mi nesedla, protože mě opravdu nerozesmějí (pouze někdy :D) narážky na přirození, zadek, nahotu a podobně. Občas to ale bylo uděláno dobře. :D Na druhou stranu musím obdivovat autora, že vymyslel úplně dokonalý název, který je slovní hříčkou a skvěle shrnuje celou sérii. Třeba mě vážně nepobavil vtípek, kdy autor Kina a Tamu posadil do ovládání stroje, jenž vypadal přesně jako ten kanón, jež připomíná svým tvarem mužské přirození. Fakt chudák Tama.
Některé okamžiky a události byly tak absurdní, že jsem si nemohla pomoci a byla jsem naprosto pobavena. Například když Gintoki snowboardoval na skoro nahém šógunovi společně s Hijikatou, který jezdil na svém pouze ve spodním prádle veliteli Kondovi. Jako u tohohle nejde dělat nic jiného, než se nesmát. :D
Mnohokrát jsem uronila i slzu a spoustu věcí mě dojalo či rozesmutnilo. Přestože jsem někdy nebyla do příběhu zažraná, dokázal mě rozplakat. Možná jsem ale jen přecitlivělá. :D Dost mě naštvalo, že jsem byla někdy smutná úplně zbytečně. Po události, jež mám uvedenou ve spoileru, se mnou smrti postav už tolik nehnuly, neboť jsem měla neustále podezření.
Postavy byly dobře napsané a u pár si dokonce pamatuji jména. :D U některých si vzpomínám i na jejich příběhy, ale vzhledem k tomu, jaký počet postav se zde objevil, moje znalosti nejsou zrovna světoborné. Avšak to může být i tím, jak dlouho jsem celou sérii četla, protože jsem si nepamatovala i u nějakých důležitějších charakterů jejich backstory. Na druhou stranu příčinou tohoto může býti to, že mě daná postava ničím nezaujala.
Gintokiho jsem měla ráda již od začátku. Jeho charakter mi přijde sympatický a jeho povahu jsem si oblíbila. Mám na něj i takovou mini crush. :D Moje nejoblíbenější kapitoly ze začátku byly ty, které odhalovaly střípky z Gintokiho minulosti, protože mě zajímalo, jak je možné, že je tak silný a podobně. Nechápala jsem, co mají lidé proti vlnitým vlasům. Vždyť Gin vypadá hezky a s rovnými mu to už tolik nesluší. Stačí se podívat na Kina a je hned jasné, že Gin má lepší účes. :D
Mojí další oblíbenou postavu byla Kagura. Líbil se mi vývoj jejího charakteru a to samé mohu říci o Shinpachim. Kaguru jsem měla avšak raději. :D Nejprve mi přišla dosti podivná ta celé věc s Shinpachim a jeho idolem, ale nakonec za jeho posedlostí stál poměrně dojemný příběh. Mimochodem její písničky (Google mi pošeptal, že její jméno je Otsu :P) stály za nic. Jejich text mi nepřišel vtipný. Někdy jsem se musela pousmát nad jeho absurditou.
Hodně jsem měla ráda taky Kamuie. Zaprvé mi přijde super cool bojovat s deštníkem, i když zrovna on tohoto zabijáckého prostředku moc nevyužíval, za druhé jsem na něj měla crush. :D Nevím, asi mi přišlo roztomilé, jak se neustále usmívá, i přestože právě někoho usmrcuje... Někdy si vážně říkám, že se mnou není něco v pořádku... :D Avšak se mi líbilo, jakou starost měl o svou sestřičku Kaguru. Sice to ze začátku na sobě nedával moc znát, ale bylo jasné, že mu na ní záleží. <3
Okita Sougo byl dalším člověkem, na kterého jsem měla crush. :D Nevím, asi mě opravdu přitahují vrahouni. :D Jeho bych se klidně vzdala, neboť je nad nebe jasné, že on a Kagura patří spolu. Oni jsou asi jediný pár, jenž jsem shipovala. Asi proto, že patří mezi mé oblíbené postavy a tyhle dva chtějí k sobě úplně všichni, takže nejsem zrovna originální. Mrzelo mě to s jeho sestrou. Bylo to smutné, ale to každá smrt. Rozhodně mi nepřirostla k srdci, jelikož jsme ji znali opravdu jen chviličku. Na druhou stranu jsem ráda za to, že se v příběhu objevila. Dodalo nám to totiž zajímavé info o Hijikatovi, což je mimochodem další z mých oblíbených postav.
Dost mě překvapilo, že se v průběhu celého příběhu utvářel Ginův harém. S nikým jsem ho ale neshipovala, neboť se mi k němu žádná nehodila. Nebylo to tím, že jsem je neměla ráda. Vlastně jsem si snad každou členku oblíbila. Jsem ráda za to, že se na romantiku nedával žádný důraz, neboť by mi to dle mého zkazilo zážitek. Na tomto harému mě trochu štval způsob, jakým se ženy připojovaly. Naštěstí to nebylo jen proto, že je Gintoki hlavní hrdina. Stejně ve všech probudilo jejich city to, jak je nějakým způsobem od něčeho zachránil. Když o tom teď přemýšlím, on některé vlastně podporoval i emočně a různě jim přednášel motivační proslovy, takže dává i smysl, proč by k němu začaly něco pociťovat. 🤔
Tama byla jedna z mých nejoblíbenějších postav. Oceňovala jsem její osobnost a líbil se mi vztah mezi ní a Gintokim. Její oddanost a obětavost byla úctyhodná. Dávalo smysl, že si jako jediná společne se Sadaharuem pamatovala Gina, když se děla celá ta věc s Kinem (jméno rovnovlasého robota téměř totožného s Ginem). Byla jsem opravdu smutná, když se zdálo, že už se nikdy neprobudí. Avšak jsem tušila, že se to stoprocentně jednou stane.
Závěrečná bitva pro mě byla zklamáním. Sice se v ní odehrávalo několik epických momentů a vyskytlo se zde mnoho dobrých myšlenek a výroků, ale mě to prostě v tomto bodě už přestalo zajímat a bylo mi to úplně u zadku. Navíc se mi zdálo, že to bylo celé zbytečně natažené a některé věci jsem prostě nemohla pochopit.
Na závěr bych snad jen chtěla podotknou, že tato manga nebyla rozhodně nic pro mě. Ale jsem šťastna, že jsem vydržela až do konce, neboť teď aspoň vím, jak to s každým dopadlo. Taky mi dodala jednu vážnou radu; pro příště si recenze u větších sériích musím rozhodně rozdělit na arci, protože hodnotit přes 700 kapitol stejně se prostě nedá. :D
Obálky jsou v celku jednoduché. Vždy nějaké krásné vesmírné pozadí a na něm vyobrazena většinou jedna postava, jež je v daném volumku relevantní. Jediná moje výtka je, že občas mi nesedly barevné kombinace, ale to je jen maličkost.

December 4, 2019I read “Gintama”. The setting of this manga is Edo era so people are wearing kimono. However there are some interesting characters. For example, alien, robot and kappa.
If I rate this manga, I rate 3.5 stars because it makes me laugh always.
Gintoki Sakata, Kagura and Shinpachi Shimura are protagonists. Gintoki is a hero of this story but he is so funny and crazy guy. A girl, Kagura is the most powerful warrior race in the universe. Shinpachi is hybrid of flat and simplistic character. He is the only person who is normal.
Shinsengumi is antagonist and secondly character because sometimes they try to catch Yorozuya members, Gintoki, Kagura and Shinpachi but sometimes help them.
I thought this manga doesn’t have the rising action because suddenly they do something stupid so I can’t expect when the climax will come.
If I rate this manga, I rate 3.5 stars because it makes me laugh always.

This volume had some of my favourite chapters. It was hard to read this quietly in public places.
We got to see Gin being a fatherly figure and looking out for Shinpachi and Kagura, which was really sweet. The version of rock, paper, scissors game they played in the park with the Shinsengumi was super entertaining, even if it ended up being something completely different than expected. Elizabeth is just... a special creature, to say the least. I really enjoyed the Sensei Gintoki bits, and I hope there are a lot more of those in the future.

It says something about "Gin Tama" that being rescued from drug-running space pirates is all in a day's work. The third volume of Hideaki Sorachi's hilarious series picks up where the second left off, but promptly launches into a string of one-off, hysterical stories about firefighters, kappas, and pet shows.
Gin and Katsura disguise themselves as space pirates, and board the pirates' ship -- just as the scum are dumping Kagura overboard. This event unveils some new problems for the Shinsengumi, who are forced to protect a foul-mouthed toad who's being targeted by anti-alien organizations.
In the stories that follow, Gin and company encounter a weird bunch of problems -- a familiar animal-obsessed alien prince and depressed taxi driver, a battle over cherry blossom-viewing spots, a selfish boy-bander dating Shinpachi's favorite idol a kappa in danger of losing his home, and a gung-ho female firefighter in search of a firebug. They even enter Sadaharu in a pet contest... against "Captain" Katsura and his man-sized penguin Elizabeth.
Having come up with a mad mixture of science fiction and Meiji-era dilemmas, Hideaki Sorachi seems to have settled into a nice, insane groove in "Gin Tama Volume 3." It's a nice steady stream of insanity -- pet show deathmatches, helmet-and-hammer games, assaults in a toilet stall, space pirates, and our steadfast heroes dressing like kappa. Ah, bliss.
But despite the inherent madness of the series, Sorachi manages some solid little storylines about lost families, environmental action, and some insane race-and-tackle competitions. And he crams it with bad songs, toilet humor, hilarious dialogue ("Since I can't figure out how to separate the trash, I've decided to live a life of depravity... like a fallen angel") and weird scenarios (Katsura and Gin in stereotypical pirate mode, complete with fake scars, hook and eyepatches).
And Sorachi obviously has some affection for his whacked-out characters -- Gin continues to be a painfully-mellow-unless-enraged slacker, while Shinpachi's fanboyishness goes to new heights. And the Shinsengumi turn out to not be such bad guys -- with the exception of the boyishly homicidal Okita -- they're just overly loyal to the weird Kondo.
And Katsura? The resident pretty guy of this series turns out to have a secret desire to be "Captain Katsura" ("Tell us what a space captain does." "I'm a... captain... in space") and a fondness for alien penguins.

14-Gin teams up with Zura to rescue his gang and they battle Daraku-San and his Harusame space pirates.
15-A tale about the Shingenshumi where they have to protect some toad and they also find more about the corrupt Shogunate (Police). Great ch showing why Kondou-san is the best.
16-Gin makes a new friend in Hazegawa-san and its such a fun read. He is clueless about what to do in life and by the end does and be true to himself.
17-Gin and his gang vs Shinsengumi for land for Hanami and its a fun contest.
18-Gin and co help a Kappa and preserve his lake from some man tryna make into something else. It was a fun one and shows Gin's kindness.
19-A fun little tale of Shinpachi helping out Otsuu-chan (the singer) from a fake boyfriend and rescuing her. This ch made me like Shin more.
20-Its a hilarious one, a pet race between Gin's Pet Sadoharu and Zura's and wow that ending lmao
21 & 22- Gin is suspected of provoking fires and helps a girl to arrest the real arsonist responsible. Its a fun tale and shows a relationship between a fireman and his daughter and in the end Gin is here to save the day.

Okay, now this volume was funny as hell. The Shinsengumi dealing with the toad guy (Sougo trying to burn him at the stake). The battle between Odd Jobs and the Shinsengumi at the cherry-blossoming viewing. Gintoki and Shinpachi's facial expressions when Kagura first catches the kappa alien while fishing. Zura reprising his Space Captain "disguise" at the pet show, with the giant penguin Elizabeth, who appears to be a dude in a suit.
Also, Tatsumi best girl.

The more precious the burden, the heavier and more difficult it is to shoulder it
'Man...you guys are heavy, dammit' my hearttt 🥰🥰 I absolutely love the way that we are reminded of one of the key life lessons again and again.This comment made while carrying Shinpachi and Kagura might look like a joke at first sight but I think it underlines beautifully the love and care Gintoki has for them.
'Otsu's getting famouser and famouser!' honestly, who in their right mind approved these translations?
Gintoki, Kagura and Katsura are so funny, they have the ultimate idiot chemistry. The various levels of their stupidity provide Shinpachi time and again the opportunity to play the straight man role perfectly.

If I had to describe this in three words, it would be super easy. They would be "stupid but funny."
So many of these characters do stuff that you're just scratching your head asking them "You do realize that you could have come at this in a less dumb manner?"
This is mainly composed up of random stories but it probably has an overarching plot. .... Probably.
These characters go through so much but they haven't changed yet. I don't think we are quite at the "enticing" point yet.
The extras in this one are so pitiful. I don't suggest reading them. I did and I gleaned nothing but the author was overworked and/or lazy.
Onto the next!

February 28, 2022So i am not fully into this manga series. To be frank, it seems to be directionless. It seems to be a kind of historical, but with a twist of science fiction. That is fine. The concept, in my perception, seems really cool. The characters as well are quite interesting to follow. However, when it comes to the actual story - there is not a lot to talk about. Every chapter is about something random and there doesn't seem be an interesting narrative.

This volume again improved on the previous two. There was no bonus story this time though. I find it interesting how each chapter is its own little story with not much connection to the other chapters and yet there still seems to be a coherent story throughout with returning characters and ongoing jokes.

There is always some part of a Gintama volume / episode that totally cracks me up and even though this particular volume is not the funniest of the bunch, it does have some funny parts – mostly provided by Gin and Kagura.

Volume 3 of Gintama solidifies what we’ve all come to suspect: Hideaki Sorachi is both a comedic genius and an emotional terrorist. This volume continues the tradition of unfiltered nonsense, but now it’s sprinkled with just enough depth to make you question why you’re suddenly tearing up over a wooden sword and a talking dog.
The Yorozuya trio? Still ridiculous. Gintoki remains the king of deadpan one-liners, Shinpachi is still the universe’s favorite punching bag, and Kagura is as feral as ever (and probably eating everything in your fridge as we speak). The humor is relentless, veering from absurd (space roaches, anyone?) to borderline nonsensical, and somehow it still works. Sorachi’s ability to craft jokes out of thin air feels almost illegal.
But then, in classic Sorachi fashion, the mood shifts. Suddenly, the story hits you with flashes of the past, glimpses of honor, and moments where you catch yourself feeling things. Gintoki’s past is teased just enough to make you curious (and slightly worried), and the supporting cast—especially Hijikata and Kondo—begin to show layers beyond their comedic antics. You come for the laughs, but you stay because damn it, these characters are growing on you like weeds.
The art continues to improve, though Sorachi hasn’t lost his love for self-deprecating jokes about his own skill. The pacing is solid, bouncing between chaotic fights and surprisingly heartfelt moments with ease.
So why four stars? Because as brilliant as this volume is, you can tell Sorachi is still warming up. The balance between humor and emotion is almost perfect but not quite—some moments lean too far into the ridiculous, while others feel like they end just as they’re getting good. It’s a minor flaw, though, because even at its “worst,” Gintama is leagues ahead of most manga in its genre.
Volume 3 is another chaotic, hilarious, and unexpectedly heartfelt ride through Edo’s most dysfunctional universe. Four stars, because Sorachi’s holding back—and we all know he’s capable of even more madness.

Another star because it makes me laughing madly. It was hilariously funny. I cant remember when was the last time i laugh so much just by reading a comic. Even the chapter title cant make you giggling. Here's one: "Stress is a cause of baldness. But if you work at keeping your stress low then you just get more and at the end result is that there is nothing we can really do" LOL
Here some of the scene i found out extremely funny ( You know it actually would'be funnier with the picture matched)
Capt Kondou: It's our annual tradition to have this event here. All of you leave!!
Gintaki: If you want us to move, bring us a bulldozer

Another star than previous volumes because I found myself annoying other housemates with laughter and the requirement of numerous tissues to deal with certain nasal-related explosions. This series just keeps getting better. (Currently following the manga over at MangaFox.)
