Matt already has his hands full dealing with a notorious hitman who’s in the area and a thug who followed a visitor to Blue Cove. Now Jessie is in danger, and Matt will do anything to keep her safe. He can’t lose her now. When Matt becomes the target, it’s Jessie’s turn to help. She has a few surprises in store as a few ghostly friends come to her aid.

Iona did it again, Blue Cove will never be the same again!

All through this book I kept rooting for Jessie and Matt to catch the murderers. This was a riveting read and I had a hard time putting it down!

This is a new-to-me author and first read in this series so I was a bit unfamiliar with the supporting characters, as well as Jessie's backstory. That said, that lack of knowledge on my part, did not prevent me from enjoying this paranormal, romantic suspense. Bookstore owner, Jessie, has the 'gift of sight' and, during one of her evening runs, senses that she's being watched. Later, she sees a murder being committed in the same area and feels that the killer is really after her. She reports this to her chief of police bf, Matt, who already has his hands full trying to locate a hitman. The suspense and creepy factor are almost off the chart. While I enjoyed the story, there were parts that tended to drag with, IMO, over explanation of what the characters were doing. Eventually the bad guys are caught and it appears that wedding bells will be in the future for Jessie and Matt.
