Cora Matthews grew up with the Adams’ boys, twin brothers and best friends who wouldn’t let anything come between them—except for her. One of them became her best friend; the other, her fiancé.

She always knew she’d wind up marrying one of them, and Jacob Adams is the epitome of Mister Right. At least until he fails to show up for their wedding.

As Jacob’s best man, and identical twin, Matt makes a split-second decision that will affect the three of their lives forever—he steps in to take his brother’s place. In front of the altar, exchanging vows with the woman he’s secretly been in love with for years.

But Cora finds out about the groom swap. The morning after the wedding. As if realizing she just slept with her fiancé’s brother isn’t disturbing enough, she’s forced to confront the feelings for Matt Adams she thought she’d buried years ago.

Through the course of her real honeymoon with her fake husband, she uncovers truths both Adams brothers were hoping to keep hidden, for opposite reasons. One to protect himself, the other to protect her.

She married the wrong brother, but what if he’s been the right one all along?

Nicole Williams delivers a fast-paced, gripping story that I’ve read in one sitting. She does a wonderful job blending the sweetness and sexiness in this story and making you think about what’s wrong and what's right. Despite its premise, I found the story to be compelling, but if you are not a fan of cheating or love triangles, then this is not the book for you. First and foremost, I have to say that I’m not a fan of cheating in my books, so I was really surprised when I ended up enjoying this book as much as I did. Maybe because the cheating here, in some way, felt…RIGHT.

“Me. Matt Adams. The man who’d loved her for so long, I couldn’t remember a time when I hadn’t. Loving her had become a part of me. The defining part of me.”

Matt has always been in love with Cora and he had always hoped, that one day, she will have his name. And she will, very soon, but not in the way Matt has been hoping, because Cora will soon become his new sister-in-law. Matt has known Cora ever since Cora’s mother started working for his family. Cora has grown up right along Matt and his TWIN brother, Jacob. Matt’s father has even paid for Cora’s education over the years.

“He had it all. He had everything. He had her. And he treated it as though it were nothing. Like it was replaceable—a guarantee he could take for granted.”

On the wedding day, when Jacob doesn’t show up at his own wedding, Matt decides to step in and pretend to be Jacob. Matt knows how unforgivably wrong what he’s about to do is, but he has to do something. He doesn’t want Cora to be humiliated in front of five hundred people, so he hopes pretending to be his twin (for a short time) is the right thing to do.

Matt never expected to go on his twin brother's honeymoon. He knows Cora will be devastated when she finds out the truth. He knows he will have to tell her sooner rather than later, but when Cora starts kissing him and starts treating him like her new husband, Matt can’t resist her. After all, Cora is the woman of his dreams.

Will Cora find out who her new husband really is? Will Matt confess how much he loves Cora? Will Jacob find out what his brother did behind his back?

“In the end, they say it’s the lies we tell that define us more than the truths we admit. I already knew that. The lie I’d been telling for years had been defining me for just as long.” - Cora

Nicole Williams’s newest release is truly captivating! I couldn’t put it down for one minute. From the start, I was dying to know how everything will progress between these characters, what will happen between the two brothers, who’s really “Mister Wrong” and who’s really “Mister Right”.

'Mister Wrong' is entertaining, filled with angst, emotion and also some drama as the story unfolds. I appreciated the fact the book is written in dual POV, which was very helpful at times. Cora’s POV was just okay for me, but, I have to say that I loved Matt’s, maybe because I enjoyed his character a little more than Cora’s.

The story-line is interesting and very addictive. With every single chapter I was more and more engrossed in these characters' story. The two main characters are great, well-portrayed and pretty endearing. Matt is simply wonderful. He is sweet, caring, thoughtful and the way he loves Cora is simply heartwarming. His love is palpable from start to finish. The author did a great job with the romantic aspect here. Also the connection/chemistry between Matt and Cora is fantastically done.

If you are don't mind cheating and love triangles and you are looking for something unique, entertaining and very steamy, don't hesitate and try this awesome read!

➦I've only read a handful of romances that explored this whole "identical twin" theme going on in this book. One thing I'm sure of is that this one, by far, is the best I've read out of all of those.

➦The phrase "train wreck" has been used to describe this story by one of the other reviewers, and it's true. It's like watching a train wreck happen and being unable to look away for a second. The story is very angsty and well written, albeit very far-fetched. But that's fiction, so let's just

➦You have to realize that this book involves cheating and a woman torn between two men. Two identical twin brothers. What happens when a guy she's supposed to marry never shows up to his own wedding and his brother pretends to be the groom instead?

➦That is, indeed, a good question. He does have reasons, people. I'm happy to report I didn't roll my eyes once during the reading of this book and I guess I've bought whatever Nicole Williams was selling. lol So if you're a fan of a little bit of rivalry, jealousy and a bunch of forbidden stuff then this is a book for you.

Cora Matthews was my weakness. My addiction. Everything I wanted and everything I had to let go of.

photo Mister Wrong Nicole Williams Teaser 3_zpswsgfdgob.jpg

Matt Adams has been in love with Cora Matthews from their early childhood years but he’s unfortunately always been classified as her best friend since his twin brother Jacob quickly snatched up the role as her boyfriend. It’s always been a sore spot for him as he has witnessed Jacob’s lack of respect for Cora over the years and knows in his heart he’s not the right man for her. The story opens up on the day of Jacob and Cora’s wedding. Jacob is nowhere to be found. The night before at his bachelor party, Jacob ended up getting hammered and was also spotted leaving with another woman. Matt is faced with a dilemma – does he tell Cora the truth and then she’s left being humiliated? Or he could pretend to be Jacob, and the wedding goes off as planned? I guess you could say he has a momentary lapse in judgment and goes ahead and stands in for his brother.

As the hours start to pass, it becomes clear that Jacob is not going to show up before their scheduled flight to their honeymoon destination. Even though his conscience is telling him to come clean with Cora, he ends up getting on that flight with her, and while he promises he’s going to tell her the truth once they arrive at the hotel, let’s just say his passion for Cora takes over and soon they both have the most intense sexual encounter of their lives. Unfortunately, the blissful evening will be overshadowed by Matt’s betrayal when Cora realizes who he is the next morning. And not only will they have to deal with the shock and betrayal, Jacob is on his way to the island and he’s got the nerve to be full of accusations for both Matt and Cora.

photo Mister Wrong Nicole Williams Teaser 5_zpscejjtkmp.jpg

The story starts off with Matt’s POV, so we are not privy to what is going on in Cora’s mind until the moment she realizes that it was Matt that she married and shared her wedding night with. At this point, we find out that she has always loved Matt and that the only reason she was with Jacob was because he was the only brother who made his feelings known. She had always assumed that Matt wasn’t interested in her. But Matt kept his feelings hidden because his brother staked his claim before he got a chance to. We also learn that over the years Jacob has always been jealous of Matt and continuously accused Cora of having feelings for his brother. Their relationship definitely lacked trust and loving adoration.

Now Cora is left with her own dilemma as she must choose between the brothers. Knowing that Matt is in love with her has her reevaluating her relationship with Jacob and she can’t help but compare how much stronger her feelings are for Matt. Will she pick the right brother or continue to make poor decisions that not only impact her life, but the lives and relationship of the Adams brothers.

Nicole Williams is one of my favorite authors. She has written some truly fabulous books over the past several years. I would say this was definitely not my favorite by her. I had a really hard time with the fact that Matt deceived Cora and let her believe he was Jacob while he made love to her on her honeymoon night. I also couldn’t grasp how Cora didn’t realize right from the start it was Matt who she was marrying and off on her honeymoon with. She had known the two for years and had a really close relationship with the both of them. I also didn’t like the fact that she chose to be with Jacob because she thought that Matt would never reciprocate her feelings. Hard to really empathize with a heroine who uses a person as a consolation prize.

3.5-4 'Waiting for You' Stars!
ARC provided by the author via Ardent Prose PR in exchange for an honest review.

I am always excited when it comes to Nicole Williams’ books. I fell in love with her writing last year and I am still blown away by her emotional yet very-sexy love stories. Now it was time for Mister Wrong and, while I very much enjoyed reading it (I stayed super late to finish it!), I have to say it wasn’t exactly what I expected. Still good, in Nicole’s wonderful style, but the story did not grab me as much as her last release (Hate Story).

Mister Wrong is a standalone novel and it’s about the (different) love that two IDENTICAL twins have towards the girl they met when they were young. Cora Matthews is about to marry Jacob Adams when Matt “discovers” the bride is to be left in the altar. What is Matt’s reaction? Become the groom, of course! Matt has been in love with Cora since the beginning and he does not want to see her suffer because of Jacob’s messy life. I am sure you can imagine what happens next ;)

I’d never been as certain of anything as I was about the woman walking toward me, about to marry me.
Under false pretenses.

The best thing about this book, for me, was Matt. I simply ADORE Nicole’s heroes! They feel so beautifully and passionately for the heroine and Matt Adams was no exception to that. While I did not like as much having a love triangle (still not a fan of those! lol) and two people who clearly love each other but do not express it until the end, I have to say I devoured Mister Wrong. I could not stop reading so that is a clear sign this is an entertaining book!

He kissed me like I was everything he needed, and I was clinging to the hope that I was.

“Make me work for it, Cora. Don’t make it easy, make it hard. Make it so fucking hard I feel like I just might die if I don’t get to be with you.”

Cora and her “groom” Matt have, of course, out-of-this-world chemistry. You know if you have read any book by Nicole, she will deliver on the sex/emotions department! Loved the passion and all the feels! And that is what brings me to the aspect I did not love as much too. As I said, I am not a big fan of love triangles but I do get why Matt and Cora feel guilty sometimes (about Jacob). What I did not get was how they fight against all those feelings (especially Cora).

“I’m scared of you.”
“Scared of me?”
“I’m scared of the feelings I have for you.”

Leaving that aside, Mister Wrong is a very enjoyable read with a couple that will give you all the feels. Cora and Matt have a very strong connection and that clearly shows on the pages of this book! I do wish we had an epilogue to complete better the story but since I devoured this book pretty quickly, I can’t not complain. Nicole's writing is just outstanding! I really enjoyed it as a whole!

She was everything I’d ever dreamed of, my proverbial fantasy in human form.

I didn’t know I’d been hollow until his words filled every empty space and dark corner inside me.

Therefore, my rating for Mister Wrong is 4 STARS because I found it very engaging with a couple that will give you all the feels with their surprising love story! I have to say it is not my favorite by Nicole, but still I recommend it for fans of love triangles who like very emotional and sexy times!

“Me. Matt Adams. The man who’d loved her for so long, I couldn’t remember a time when I hadn’t. Loving her had become a part of me. The defining part of me.”

Mister Wrong starts off with Matt at a wedding, but it’s not his wedding. It’s his twin brother, Jacob’s wedding. Only, Jacob is a no show, and the woman Matt has loved his whole life is about to be jilted at the alter. In a moment of insanity, Matt steps in and pretends to be Jacob at the wedding, but soon is the honeymoon and Matt needs to find a way to tell Cora the truth.

I read the blurb for this book and I wanted it right then and there! Unrequited love? Twin switch? Possible angst? You bet your butt I wanted to read this book. I loved that we got Matt’s perspective at the beginning and then switched between him and Cora, if it would have only been one POV I think it would have been harder to understand character choices, but Williams does a good job of portraying her characters motivations. This book also had a lot more steam than normal in a Williams’s book and I think plenty of readers will be pleasantly surprised by this.

This book started out strong and the pacing got a bit slower once it hit the middle. I very much enjoyed this book and think other readers will too.

“He’s the one, Cora. The real goddamn deal. Don’t let him go because you feel guilty or think you should do the right thing or anything stupid like that. Be with the person you want to be with. Stop wasting time.”

Well, holy melodrama-llama alert (and I say that in the best way). I mean... WOW! That was a dysfunctional mess! I could not stop reading. And I'm sitting here slack jawed with eyes wide open, laughing.

Wow. Just wowwwwwwwwww.

Talk about WILD and CHAOTIC. Mister Wrong NEVER lets up on angst. From the first to the last words, you've boarded a one way train on the crazy town express, and are headed straight to WHAT THE FUCK-VILLE. This story is juicy and salacious, addictive and crazy, and I read it in one single sitting. Every chapter leaves you on the edge of your seat, desperate, frustrated, needy as you wish for things to play out the way you want them to.

I'm just... WHOA! I don't even know what to say or what to think. The more I think on this story, the more I'm like, OMG. I JUST READ THAT!

INTOXICATING. Truly, I was completely enthralled by these characters. Nicole Williams in a FANTASTIC writer. She hits you in the feels like no one else. There is a ton of back and forth between these characters that leaves you breathless. The situation they find themselves in is outrageous, but so gosh darn entertaining. Really, from the opening scene you're just left reeling and the more you read, the more intense it becomes.

Matt and Cora are two characters that left me speechless. Matt is our 'hero!' He's Jacob's IDENTICAL twin brother. Jacob is the groom who doesn't show up for his wedding to Cora (our leading lady)! And Matt, who is obviously the most gracious man ever, kindly takes Jacob's place (to, you know, to help him out) and marries his BROTHERS girl. <<-- YES. Yeah. Matt marries his IDENTICAL TWIN brother's girl.

***laughs hysterically***

And so here is Matt, trying to 'help' Jacob out, thinking at some point his brother is going to show up and they can pull a switch-a-roo and no one will be the wiser. And well, obviously that doesn't happen. Things get super carried away and Matt ends up with Cora on the honeymoon.

And let me tell you... J.U.I.C.Y! As we read the back story unfolds and feelings are made known and it turns soap opera messy! It's like seeing a car wreck you CANNOT look away from. WHOA! Also, let me add in that this book is NOT what I thought it was going to be. From the blurb I got the angst part, however, I was expecting this super deep, heart rendering story.

It was not that.

At least for me. It was PURE heart pounding entertainment. It was a "I CAN'T LOOK AWAY FROM THIS" read! And I enjoyed it. THOROUGHLY so. I'm all about the sex and drama and this checked off every little mark in the "crazy story" handbook.

A buddy read with the Abtastic Geishas, because we see a hint of abs on that cover 😀

A hint of abs times two, for the two twin brothers who care for the same girl. Matt and Jacob Adams have loved Cora since the day her mom moved into the wealthy family's home as a housekeeper and Cora moved in as well. The kids were all 11 years old and went to the same school, for which the Adams dad provided the funds. Cora was not treated well by most of her classmates, since she was looked upon as the hired help. But her two knites in shining armor made her childhood better. I guess it was all good, until the more forward, brash, 3 minutes older brother took a chance and they began dating, leaving Matt to pine for Cora from afar...

The book starts as the guys are 27 years old now and Cora is about to wed Jacob, if only his father and Matt could find the groom... He has been missing since the bachelor party and there is no sign of him at all. Matt decides to save the day and stand in for his identical twin, hoping no one would notice. Somehow he pulls the reception off, but his hope that his brother would show and bail him out before time to fly for the honeymoon. Yes, you see where this is going... Matt wanted to save the day, but it would have only worked if Jacob had appeared in the nick of time. Now Matt has to fight with the temptation of going on a huneymoon with the woman he has been in love with all of his life, and that might lead to situations he couldn't say no to.... I felt sorry for all involved, but least of all for the missing groom, because we find out as we read on that although he loves Cora in a way, he is a lying manipulative and selfish douchebag and we naturally root for his brother...

The whole premise is based on cheating, so if this is an issue for you no matter what, this book might not be the best for you. However, I found it not to be terrible, and here it worked somehow. It is a love triangle though, so beware! Apart from this, I had a lot of fun reading this light Contemporary Romance, and there were moments I was laughing wholeheartedly! The Speedo male bikini swimwear purchase was the one that had me giggling uncontrollably 😀😀😀! I am sure that would be a situation the gorgeous Abs would have been only the third most appealing eye candy Matt was rocking 😎😎😎!

As always, this was a perfect read with the rest of the Geishas, since we all keep on salivating over the subjects of our research - Abtastic Abs!!! Thanks ladies for your tireless dedication 😋😉😋

Nicole Williams has once again captured and demanded her reader’s attention as she brings forth a complicated love story like no other in Mister Wrong. Boundaries will be pushed. Moral conscience of right and wrong will be tested. And the lines of family, love, truth, and respect will come into play. As Williams beautifully weaves these elements, she will have readers begging, craving, and wanting more of this fast paced complicated love story that is layered with angst and drama.

Imagine it’s your wedding day and the groom is missing. The groom is your identical twin brother and he is marrying the woman that you have secretly loved for so many years. Not wanting Cora to be devastated and humiliated, Matt pretends to be his twin brother, Jacob. Matt should inform Cora of the truth but he doesn’t because in some complicated way, he wants Cora to see him. As they go on their honeymoon, will Matt be able to inform the truth that he is not Jacob? And how will Cora react when she is torn between Jacob and Matt?

When it comes to romance that packs a punch, Williams has perfected it. Though this romance is very far different from her previous books, Williams challenges her readers to see a different perspective when it comes to love. Love can indeed make us crazy, irrational, and do uncharacteristic things but in the end Williams allowed readers to feel and see the depth of Matt’s love for Cora and why he is Mister Right. So if you are looking for a romance that challenges readers to step outside their comfort zone of safe romance and embrace a little angst, drama, and passion then I highly recommend you to read Mister Wrong.

I'm in war with this book.

One minute I loved it the next I hulked out.

The story opens to Matt who was (already) establishing his undying love for this girl and how totally wrong she was for his brother.

Matt has a twin. His name is Jacob and he's 3 minutes older. He's the favourite in the family.

Twin brothers fell in love with Cora who actually moved in Adams' mansion with her mum as a hired help.
Mum passed away leaving Cora behind but fortunately for her, Adams took her in and have extended the privileges to her same as what the Adams twins had whilst growing up.

Matt was truly in love with Cora but Jacob was fast enough to make a play for her.
He wasn't exactly thrilled about it but thinking that was what Cora wanted so he decided to just sit in the sidelines and be there for her when opportunity arises. And believe me, there was no shortage of those said opportunities.

The book revolves around them and happened in just 3-4 days starting when Cora and Jacob were about to exchange their "I do's" but as expected, Jacob was nowhere to be seen and Matt, as always, blinded with his affection to Cora, stood in for his brother.

Plagued by his conscience attacks, he still jumped on the plane with Cora for their honeymoon destination as it became clear that Jacob is definitely a no-show as he was dead-drunk and spotted by one one his friends leaving the place with another woman.
He had all the intentions to come clean but it didn't happen the way he wanted it.

I never read a trope like this before and this one poses one too many issues for me.

Let's start with
Cora: I fkn hate her. No redeeming qualities whatsoever.
She's an idiot / stupid / a nincompoop.

She has no reasonings for her decisions.
“It wasn’t fair to me either. I’d waited. And waited. And nothing.
I’d been wrong about Matt harboring feelings for me. I’d been wrong to harbor my own. I’d kept Jacob on the line, biding his time, for too long, and I’d finally accepted what I should have long ago.
Matt didn’t love me. Not the way I wanted him to.”

“I’d waited for him, but I couldn’t wait forever, especially not when I knew how Jacob felt about me and that his attention would only last so long. I’d rather have one, even if it wasn’t the one I wanted most”

She lied too many times.
“Yeah, well, I was good and drunk. I don’t remember a thing from last night. The rest is a black hole of nothing.”

“I don’t want you, Matt. I never have.”

Ugh!

One word to describe Jacob: assclown

Matt: He may be the sweetest and passionate here but it ends there. He knew that Jacob repeatedly cheated on her and treated her next to nothing but he didn't do anything nor did he speak up.
Hmmm not so Romeo after all, was he?

Other things that bothered me a lot too were:
1. how could Cora not know it was Matt she was marrying and with during consummation, she had after all noticed it amongst other things, of course. ? She spent most of her life with these blokes, for sobbing out loud.
2. how could Matt and Cora not know their feelings for each other when they were best of friends?
3. when Cora, the nincompoop, finding out that her heart truly belongs to Matt after soooooooooooo many fkn soul searching, went straight to Matt instead of going to Jacob and end things with him first.
This is like putting a neon sign over your head saying, "come and find us to see what we're doing right now."

OMG.

They all deserve a slap.

I felt cheated on Maggie's character.
Not only she magically turned up half way in the story but also didn't play the role I wanted to / thought her to be.
You see, she was a friend of Matt's and strangely followed him to "his honeymoon" figuring that Matt might need her help and to make sure that he's ok too.
I waited PATIENTLY thinking that there will be a twist here by expressing her undying love for Matt but nooooooo. Did not happen.
Instead she was the voice of reason and helped stupid Cora to figure things out.

August BR with the Abtastic Geishas

Short, simple, silly drama fun read. This book is lots of drama, but it's written in a way that's light. It's also not a deep book.

Cora, an idiot if there ever was one, is about get married and unbeknownst to her, the groom, Jacob, is a no show. His identical twin brother Matt, fills in for him & marries Cora. Except he doesn't tell her he's not the real groom until much later. Then it's all drama and finding out that people she thought were x weren't actually so.

Matt is the sweetest person ever and deserves much better than Cora, the idiot, and Jacob, the douche. He's the kind of doting & would do anything for you bf that everyone wants. The swimsuit scene and everything out of his mouth is adorable.

Cora, she should've fallen off that cliff. Nature missed its chance to eradicate her. So I didn't hate her because this book is too fluffy for real emotions. She's just an idiot for dating Jacob, who's the worst bf ever and for not seeing what's right in front of her eyes. She misses all clues.

Jacob - drunk douche. That's all.

The book was light, there are secrets that come out, but nothing horribly interesting, like some sort of murder and bury the body pact. Enjoyable & quick read.

So what's this story about?
On the day of Jacob and Coras wedding Jacob doesn't actually turn up, he's know where to be seen. So until he's found his twin brother Matt takes his place. Except know one knows and so it's all on Matt. That's where things pick up and change and how the twists and turns develop. Cora and Matt go on their honeymoon and start their new life, well until Jacob turns up from wherever he is.... so this read is about the battle of demons as it were.. who's right? Who's wrong? Is there a right? Is there a wrong? Does two wrongs make a right?

What I enjoyed
I LOVE Nicole's writing style, she really does get you hooked on her words and grabs hold of your attention and then make you think at times too. So with that, this book was like crack I read until 3am cause in some ways I couldn't put it down. Easy, light and enjoyable.

So why not 4/5 Stars
I'll be honest I'm a reader who loves details, I like to picture what I'm reading the descriptions and details are EVERYTHING to me. This book lacked those details and I couldn't see them when reading it. So in that way my attention wasn't stuck on the couple, or the romance. That's all I'm saying and that could also be me please don't let me stop you from picking this book up as it is addictive it just lacked the small details I pine for when I read romances.

Overall is was easy to read, but lacked the depth. But I love this author still. I will always pick her work up so until next time...

Talk about a freaking train wreck, geez!

Let's recap, shall we?
Matt: I love him.
Cora: Strong dislike. Few redeeming qualities. Has no reasoning for her decisions and makes things up as she goes.
Jacob: Asshat.

And the entire story spans what, three days? Four? Those are some intense days for sure but man oh man.

I will say, this is certainly addicting though. Like a cat fight on the bachelor. It's just too hard to look away from.

I honestly don’t know how to rate this book.
It was very well written; so captivating that despite many of my triggers I couldn’t put it down.

I read the blurb, so it’s kind of silly to complain that the heroine slept with both brothers. I had a tiny hope that she didn’t have sex with her bf/fiancée/groom, but she did -> she dated him for 10 years.

After she slept with his brother/fake husband/H there was no turning back, no sex with her bf/H’s twin brother.

But nevertheless it was cheating.

Well, as to the story itself, I have no idea whatsoever.
I mean I kind of understood what happened, but I have no explanation how it happened.

Twisted reality? Only there so many misunderstandings, misjudgments and complete lack of communication would be possible.

With only one question, with only one word, one talk 10 years ago all this mess wouldn’t have happened.

I liked the hero, but WTF to all the years he said nothing and did nothing?

Well, I vote for twisted reality!!!

2 *big sigh* stars

OK, so clearly I am going to have the unpopular opinion here because there’s a lot of love for this book, and I’m really glad that there is, but sadly, it just did not work for me. I thought the premise sounded fun, and I'm a big fan of Nicole Williams and was curious to see how she would pull it off, but the characters just annoyed me, the book was too short for me to really get invested, and in the end it was a struggle to finish the book.

Cora grew up with the Adams twins, Matt and Jacob. Though Matt was the one she had most in common with and always felt the closest to, it was Jacob that made the play for her and, thinking that Matt didn’t return her feelings, she stayed with Jacob, eventually falling in love with him and agreeing to marry him.

Matt was always desperately in love with Cora, but she was with his brother so he never voiced his feelings. He was always there for her, and loved her enough to want her to be happy – even if it wasn’t with him.

The book begins on what is supposed to be Cora and Jacob’s wedding day. Except that Jacob is a no-show. So Matt, steps in to do what he can to save the bride from the pain and embarrassment that would come from being left at the altar – he steps in as groom. Luckily, the twins are identical so nobody knows about the switch – not even Cora.

Marry the woman you love, Matt, then let her spend the rest of her life with the man she loves.

The two of them take off on their tropical honeymoon and Matt is so swept up in the emotion of it all that there is a whole lot of consummating. But what happens in the morning when the truth is finally revealed? And when Jacob arrives, the three of them will finally be forced to face up to the secrets they have been keeping – even from themselves.

I might have wanted them both in my life, but there was only one I couldn’t live without.

I'm usually a fan of this author's books, but this one was a painful reading experience for me. I just couldn’t get past the stupidity of the characters, and of course that made the rest of the angst, drama and romance just seem ridiculous.

Standby for much ranting…

OK, that was therapeutic and I’m feeling better *deep breath*.

So yeah, clearly not a winner for me. I’m sure lots of people are going to love this book, but I was turned off pretty early on and sadly it all just went downhill from there for me.

I will say though, that Nicole Williams’ writing was just as good as always. I usually love her books and she does a great job of getting us inside of Matt and Cora’s heads, and you can see the emotional turmoil that they are going through – but sadly I was too disconnected from the story to feel it alongside them.

2 stars.

A book about marrying the wrong twin brother?

This could have been really, really good!

Unfortunately, there was just too much drama in this for it to be a win for me.

Cora was a terrible leading lady. She had no backbone and was happy to settle for someone who treated her like shit, even when she knew she deserved better.

Matt was lovely and sweet and I adored him. His brother was a douche and I don't know why he covered for him for so long. He should have let him crash and burn years ago, then swept in to pick up all the broken pieces.

This book was well written though, and I already have my eyes set on another novel by this same author, this time with THREE BROTHERS involved. It sounds like a car crash waiting to happen and I cannot wait to start it at the end of the month.

I didn't love this one, but I didn't hate it either.

Friends to Lovers ever.

Concept of the plot was decent but I found the whole storyline frustrating. Cora was a bit like a puppet on a string - I love Jacob, no I think I love Matt, No I think I love Jacob, No really its Matt!

Groom Jacob missing in action on his wedding day - drunk and with another woman. That the norm for him. To save face Matt steps in and marries Cora - he has always loved her - they have a honeymoon night and Cora thinks that there is a change in Jacob. He appear more focussed on her than normal yadda, yadda.

She finds out of course that she has married the wrong brother and the story from there onwards didn't interest me enough to finish it.

Update: finished it but I still am sticking with the one star. Not for me.

4.5 I Don't Want to be Right CROWNS

My first novel by Nicole Williams is a doozy. There is so much drama, so much angst, so much back and forth, and I am enthralled by all of it.

The story centers around Jacob and Matt, who are twins, and Cora, one wedding, and the wrong groom. From the beginning Matt is this self-deprecating man, which isn't a shock as not many people around him seem to value him. Matt, however, shows how kind and compassionate he is, and even though he does some things that questionable ethically, I was ultimately okay with his choices, mainly because the author uses Cora's point-of-view to make it okay. Cora, at times, frustrated me to no end. I wanted her to see what the readers see from the very beginning. I wanted her to own up to all of her feelings, even if it is hard, because both men deserve it. I wanted her to be outraged and angry over the events that lead up to the wedding. This side of her does appear, but late in the game, and while I reveled in her declarations, I wanted it sooner. Even though she frustrated me as a character, I understood her need to protect herself and her heart. Insecurities have a way of festering and hindering happiness. Even though this unconventional set-up will set some readers off, I loved it, and the chemistry between the two main characters is authentic, leaving readers to root for the nontraditional coupling.

This story is drama from the beginning. There is lying and deception, all for good reasons, at least in the hero's head. There is steamy honeymoon scenes that exemplifies that amazing chemistry between the two main characters. There is a battle of who will win the girl's heart. Every single aspect of this story, this journey, and these three main plot points, all leads to an emotional plot-line. Nicole Williams wrote it in a way that I felt what they felt. When their hearts broke, when their hope for the future sky-rocketed, and when they fell back down to earth from reality, I felt it all. Even with all the angst and drama, there is still a beautiful love story that spans that ages, and Nicole Williams gives this couple the HEA they deserve.

Mister Wrong is the perfect angst-filled dramatic read. With raw and powerful emotions, questionable choices, and romance to heat the sheets, Nicole Williams's newest romance should be sitting on your self.

This one had me equally rivetted and aggravated.

Matt steps in and secretly marries his twin brother's fiancee Cora when his no-good bro fails to show up for the wedding. Trouble is, he's long been in love with Cora, but in deference to his bro and Cora's happiness, he has stepped aside.

I loved the set up, although it did force me to ignore a few niggling doubts with plausibility, such as whether the bride and the rest of the family would be so easily fooled by the twin swap.

The alternating pov quickly told us that neither of them had been completely honest with each other, and so my tooth grinding began as they both repeatedly failed to communicate.

Every time these two tried to have a conversation or move things along they were interrupted at a critical moment. Every frigging time. And Cora was quite frighteningly dense. But despite all of that, I was still gripped by this. Go figure.

Complete story, standalone. Fairly short, it's only taken a couple of hours to read, but an easy one to read in one sitting. Recommended.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
We’re all already used to Nicole’s kind of perfection, and Mister Wrong sure did not disappoint.

“So I’d kept my secret for years and watched the girl I loved fall in love with the brother I’d shared a womb with for thirty-eight weeks.”

Matt has secretly loved Cora for as long as he can remember but she chose his twin brother, Jacob, to marry. But when Jacob doesn’t show up at his own wedding, Matt can’t stand to see Cora hurting one more time because of his bother and takes his place as the groom! They’re identical twins so no one knows the truth besides Matt himself. And Cora, when she finds out the day after the wedding, after a night of hot sex with her husband’s brother!

“I was a married man. I’d married the woman I’d loved since we were eight years old.”

After knowing the truth, Cora starts questioning the mixed feelings she always had for Matt but never had the strength to admit and all becomes clear when she finds out that all the things that made her love Jacob, were actually Matt who did them.

“She was everything I’d ever dreamed of, my proverbial fantasy in human form.”

The sparks between Cora and Matt were just flying everywhere and I couldn’t stop reading until the very end! Matt is that sexy doctor you will want stitches from! And the fact that he spent all his life putting Cora before himself made me fall for him even more.

I highly recommend this book because I just loved every single moment of it.

I fist pumped my way through the opening of this book. Right out of the gate, we're swept up in a situation where you know this can not possibly end well, you know you should be rebelling against this kind of deception if you were any sort of decent person. But instead I was completely on board, rooting a character right on as he put on a tux, grabbed the ring, and stood at the alter pretending to be his identical twin brother set to marry the love of both their lives. How something could be so wrong and so so so right all at once, I wasn't sure, but Nicole Williams delivers exactly that in Mister Wrong. It's both heartbreaking and beautiful what evolved in this story, addictive in its wrongness, profound in its absolute rightness. And I loved every moment.

This story thoroughly wrung me out. Emotionally torturous and blissfully romantic, Mister Wrong is a story where three people love each other desperately and betray each other brutally and there's no way all three hearts can make it out unscathed. 'The course of true love never did run smooth,' said Shakespeare, and that's never been more evident than right here within these pages. Deceit and betrayal war with loyalty and unrelenting love to make for a romance that is so raw, so bittersweet, so satisfying, it's impossible to put down. From start to finish, I was captivated by the impossibility of this situation, I didn't want it to end.

I devoured this book in one sitting. I was lost in Nicole Williams's writing, in her lush storytelling, in the delicious tangle of emotions she made me feel. Something so wrong shouldn't feel so right, and something so perfectly right shouldn't feel so wrong. But this book is both. And it was done so well. Mister Wrong is an unforgettable love story that's as angsty as it is sexy, as emotional as it is swoon-worthy. It's genius the way the author reveals a lifetime of secrets and unrequited longing in such a uniquely refreshing way. It's heartbreaking the way she destroys everything so starkly in order to right all of it for a happily ever after that is just so perfect. I hope Nicole Williams writes more on these characters. I'm not at all ready to see them go and I'm aching to see what becomes of their tenuous dynamic after the conclusion of this book.

1.5 "All sorts of wrong" stars.

God. I don't even know where to begin. This was so messed up and wrong and downright icky.
I can't even.

There was nothing here. How does drivel like this get published?!

You know nothing about the characters other than
1) They're twin brother.
2) Crazy about the same girl.
3) h marries the wrong brother since the other one doesn't show.
4) h and the "wrong" H have always been in love but never admitted it. Ugh!
5) Our h is a whiny ass bitch that doesn't deserve to breathe.

What the fuck man?!

You know what they tell you in the passing?
That they're 27 and not the 17 they show themselves to be.
That our H is a surgeon.
No clue what the other brother does. He's just a spoiled party crazy man-whore or something cause he's the rich first born.
Our h is a speech therapist. I think. (No. Not cause I don't remember, it was that vague.)

Do I need to go on?
Save your selves. Save your money. Value your sanity and Don't. Read. This. Book.

If you're wondering why I finished it, it's cause you just can't look away from a train wreck in motion. *shakes head*

MINOR SPOILERS

Despite the 3 stars, i did enjoy this one. LOVE the hook. I just found it a little lacking because the entire storyline was based around one thing, and it made the inner-monologue a little skimmable to me.

I really liked the hero, he was the goodest guy you could get. Perfect. Utterly romantic and in love with the heroine all his life. The heroine... well the fact that she put up with so much s*** from his twin, it really goes against her character, as does But i suppose there would be no storyline if it weren't for it, and i'd sympathize with her fiancé too much. Even though i did feel sorry for him at the end, weirdly.

As for the skimmable bits, yeah, it was too much 'i love them, but...' inner-monologue, i tired of it, even though the whole story was based around that concept, it could've done with being shorter.

A good read otherwise.

I wanted a hero who was assertive and chased what he wanted. Who Matt wanted was Cora, but yet again, we face a hero who was incapable of owning up to his feelings, steps back and watches his twin brother take the reins. It also suggests that Matt loved Jacob more than Cora. He knew Jacob was unfaithful, yet didn't have the decency to tell Cora. Not only did he let Cora go, he let her start her unassuming happy life with her "husband" without having known the truth. That's common curtesy. He doesn't respect her. Even if she wasn't his lover, you would do that for a friend.

I'm also not a fan of double dipping so I didn't respect Cora. Why? She liked Matt. She was waiting for him to make a move. When that didn't happen, she ended up in a ten year relationship with Jacob who conveniently doesn't turn up on their wedding day. Her justification was one of the most disgusting lines I've witnessed: "I’d rather have one, even if it wasn’t the one I wanted most, than neither.”

She was that f*cking desperate guys. I would be just as harsh if the situations were reversed and it was a male. Buy some self-respect. What's more is she couldn't recognise who she was marrying on the day. Yes, they are identical twins, but there are clear environmental differences; height, weight, beauty marks, the tan of ones skin, the colour and length of ones hair. For example, I can easily pick apart Dylan and Cole Sprouse even when they looked alike. I had a crush on both - true, but Dylan's face is fuller. Cole is slightly more gaunt, his teeth framed thinner, in a wholly attractive way. Their voices are different. I'VE F*CKING WATCHED THEM ON TV FOR YEARS. You spot the differences in days. How Cora was so thick was beyond me. Mary Kate and Ashley too. It's way more obvious now that MK has dabbled in drugs. But STILL WTF.

This line made me cringe:

"yeah, I hadn’t been this sore since I’d lost my virginity to him back in high school.”

On her honeymoon she falls for the other brother. Let's just, you know forget that she chose Jacob. Again and again other than at the end. -_- I'm too ill-equipped to deal with this.

MISTER WRONG was good-easy reading, the kind of book that is effortless to delve into and stay engaged with. It had mild angst with twin brothers Jacob and Matt and Cora, a flippy-floppy woman in the middle. Cora's place between these two men was not new, she'd been conflicted for years regarding her feelings for them both, but she was marrying Jacob. What ensued were car-crash actions on impulse, that led to impossible circumstances.

"Wait. Hold up. So there was a runaway groom and now a runaway wife? God, I can't get this much drama even with my cable description."

Cora and Jacob were a couple difficult to fathom, but Cora was blind to the reality of their relationship, with Matt, she just didn't let herself see a future. Matt was the kind of good guy that made you want one for yourself, but I did want to know him deeper than I was able to. The same with Cora, I wanted to get deeper into why she made the choices that she did.

Ultimately, this was such an enjoyable read. I lost myself in the 24 hours I took to read it and I'd read it again when I'm in the mood for an easy read with great chemistry and a side of angst. Nicole Williams shows again that she can write the light books alongside the deep and heavy read, I'm a fan of both.

Selfish. Selfish. Selfish. Selfish. Selfish. That's all I could think about. I was brimming with anger. I was foaming at the mouth wanting to scream scathing insults. A love triangle that makes you want to shake everyone and then slap them silly. Twin brothers and the girl every guy dreams of. What leads to all this? Lack of communication and being shit scared in following your gut. The female MC, Cora, was another annoying female, so much so that I have decided to create a shelf for all these annoying female MCs I read aptly titled 'Annoying Cows'. They drive me batshit crazy and DON'T deserve any of the guys. Cora for me did not deserve Matt. Matt oh Matt. That man. He is now a member of my Book Boyfriend Club. He was patient. Selfless. Protective. Downright awesome. His brother though...Jacob. Vile, sorry excuse of a human being.

I was hoping for an epilogue but alas there was nothing to calm me down.

Go on and read this. Be prepared for your blood boil though...

Drama alert!

Mister Wrong is kind of a messy, dysfunctional read and that may not sound so promising, but trust me, the story sucks you right in and doesn't let you go until the very end.

It's hard to review without giving some things away, though the blurb kind of says everything you need to know. It was a quite unique story and I did like it, but I have to say, the melodramatic tone got old after a while. It felt like things could have gone a whole lot easier for all three of them if they were just honest with each other.

If cheating and love triangles are not your thing, make sure to read the synopsis before reading.

I love Nicole Williams...she is one of my favorite authors. That being said Mister Wrong is not one of my faves of hers.
I truly believe she can write anything but I am more of a fan of her darker reads like Collared or The Fable of Us.
Mister Wrong is a story of twin brothers and how Cora ends up with one while the other secretly pines away for her for many years.
I loved Matt (the non fiancé) from the start but didn't love how he deceived her all the way up to the morning following the wedding night.
I also didn't get how Cora who has been with Jacob for YEARS couldn't tell who she was with. A person doesn't change overnight with how they talk or how they are when you are physically with them.
Despite all this, I was hooked to the story...I couldn't put it down. I loved Matt's words and really liked them together. I do wish the book was a bit longer so we could have seen more of them together or even the repercussions for his actions with his dad when they got home just to see how everything turned out.
I am happy that Cora found her happy with her Mr. Right!

WOW! What a SEXY and INTENSE read full of angsty goodness! Leave it to the great Nicole Williams to RIP OUT my heart and mend it back together with the amazing finesse of a talented story-teller. This book rode my feelings so hard. It was CRAZY dramatic and beautifully ROMANTIC! There was passion, heat, and heartbreak with every turn of the page. Each chapter brought on a fresh new wave of feels and near the end, my heart-felt like it was going to give out on me. This heart wrenching, complicated, and explicit love story will hit you where it hurts, but in the end, you will have nothing but love in your heart for this author and these characters.

"I love you."

"Don't stop saying that. Ever."

Reading the synopsis of MISTER WRONG might scare some of you, but take a deep breath. You can do this! This right here...stories like these are why you read romance, is it not? The unknown, the passion, the depth of emotion it can pull out of you. Everything will be okay. I assure you, it might be a tough journey, but you will get the happily ever after that you crave. It's no surprise that Nicole Williams makes us work for it. It's no surprise that this is written beautifully and that you will no doubt, be utterly invested in these character's well-being. Ms. Williams is a writer that puts it all out there, the consequences be damned. TONS of feels! An insane amount of emotional turmoil. Family drama like you wouldn't believe. ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Fast paced and highly entertaining, the push and pull between Cora, Matt, and his twin brother Jacob in the midst of betrayal and a dangerous storm was hard to put down. Mister Wrong, by Nicole Williams, is a tale of unrequited love and endless angst as twin brothers war for the affections of Cora, the girl they've both loved in different ways since childhood. Jacob's had Cora since the start, but the attention and love he gives her over the year is marred with affairs and little affection. Matt has been picking up the slack for Jacob from the beginning, but he's never taken any credit for it. When it comes to Jacob and Cora's wedding day, Matt steps in as groom when Jacob once again fails to show. What he does out of love for Cora reveals that the feelings are returned, but the fight between the brothers has only just begun. Hidden away on what should be their honeymoon the three are involved in a battle of the heart, driven by anger and lust.

I have been excited for this book since the minute I read the blurb. Twins? Yes. Forbidden love? Definitely. Marrying your brother's fiance to help him out? Absolutely hooked before I have even started the novel. Count me in. Nicole Williams is one of my go to authors, she writes stories with incredibly descriptive details, but keeps a fast pace and the books are fairly short in length. Mister Wrong was more soap opera-y than I expected, but you know what that means? I was hooked. In two short hours I devoured this novel. It's impossible not to like Matt, he's a sweetheart who has been doing all the right things for all the wrong reasons. Cora is a complicated mess, but I ultimately liked her and sided with her as she finally faced her feelings and the truth about her relationship with the twins. Jacob, well Jacob makes me sad. While I couldn't like him through his anger and his obvious taste for alcohol, I wanted to see him succeed at something. The three are a disaster through out the entire novel, but the ending makes it all worth it. What is meant to be will be.
