बेहतरीन लेखकी की बढ़िया मिसाल। बहुत करीने से बुनी कहानी आखिर तक बांधे रखती है। लखनऊ शहर और इतिहास का वर्णन भी उल्लेखनीय है। लेखिका ने कहानी के जरिए कई मुद्दों को रेखांकित किया है। रिश्तों का ऐसा ताना बना कम ही पढ़ने को मिलता है। मानवीय रिश्तों का पट्टचित्र ज़हन में एक गहरी छाप छोड़ता है। कहानी के किरदार काफी कुछ सोचने को मजबूर करते हैं। कहानी पुरानी होने के बाद भी आधुनिकता से लबरेज है।

Reading this book aloud in the confines of my room made me realize that I need to work hard on my pronunciation.
Story of two childhood friends who go through similar situations in their life and end up with each other. Language is a mix of Hindi,Urdu,Arabic and Persian.
