Brayden Tanner wasn’t my first love, but he should have been my forever. Until one night that ruined it all.
Falling in love with Brayden was easy, despite the tragedy we faced that brought us together. My life was all planned out, or so I thought.
Now, home for a town wide celebration has me dreading a guaranteed encounter with the boy I left behind so many years ago. Knowing I can’t escape him nor the memories of what happened between us, I’m forced to confront the truth of why I left.
The spark that ignited years ago never dimmed, but are we too late? Does our relationship deserve a second chance or will we still be waiting on forever?
Grab a box of tissues, you will need them. What an emotionally charged roller coaster ride of a relationship between Claire and Brayden. What got me the most was the same accusation twice four years apart. The love written in this book is what girls dream about. I totally enjoyed how Braden read and left notes on the girl chick lit, very impressive. I totally fell in love with Cooper, what a big heart and a special person he was. Highly highly recommend this for reading.
I tried really hard to like this story but the characters, in their late 20’s, acted like teenagers. Their actions and reactions began to grate on me. I probably would’ve stuck with it longer had the author made them younger although the history would not have been there. Also, the heroine had been in love with the hero’s brother first. On the day they bury him the main characters find themselves falling in love and having sex. She even tells the hero that he’s “bigger” than his brother was. I think there was a lot of potential for this story and there will definitely be readers that will enjoy it, but it was really hard for me to connect with the characters and to accept not only the deceased lover/brother part, but the fact that what led to their eventual separation was never followed up on before the h called it quits.
Dual POV Safety – unsure about h but by the dnf mark it was apparent the H had been with at least one other woman Triggers - unsure
A great story about Brayden Tanner and Claire Walker. Brayden and Claire were meant to be. Brayden has loved Claire from the first time he met her. Claire loved both the Tanner boys and dated Cooper Tanner. Cooper ended up getting real sick and passing away. Claire ends up moving away for four years. Then a town celebration brings her home. Things didn't look so good when they had their first encounter and it seemed a bit cold. They take a ride on a carnival ride and Claire starts to remember why she fell in love with Brayden. Claire starts to realize that the spark she felt for him never went away and starts to wonder what if. Claire starts to wonder about the reason she left/ran away. The chemistry between Brayden and Claire is great. I won't say anymore as I don't want to give any spoilers away. If you want to know more you truly need to read "Waiting on Forever (Forever in Laketon Book 1)". I truly loved this book!! I highly recommend this book!!
WOW!! Talk about true love......this story had my heart feeling like a roller coaster from beginning to middle until it was soaring in the end! What an amazing man Brayden is. I loved Claire, but I'm still angry with her for being so impulsive and immature. I know she was young, but I can't help it. I love Brayden. He was definitely prince charming material. Claire was great too, it just seems like they would have had the perfect life if she had just trusted him and talked with him about things without jumping to the wrong conclusion and thinking the worst. Thank goodness she matured and everything worked out in the end!!
A bittersweet story of a girl who moves in next door to brothers and falls in love with both, she has the opportunity to love both but she ends up losing them both, one to cancer and the other to her own doing. If she never quit loving Brayden is there a way to come back after four years? Well written characters draw you into this story, Brayden is a real prince charming that never really quit loving Claire. I found Claire a little on the spoiled by her family and Brayden, catering to her one positive thing was the different way she handled the similar situations, four years makes a difference.
Claire is the worst kind of FMC and I officially hate her.
Claire and Brayden met at 5 years old and spent their lives entwined in many ways.
After five years together as lovers she randomly gets a text message from an unknown number with a sonogram photo saying what a great dad he will make.
Logic says she would show him the text and ask WTF. Is that what happens? Does she even mention it to him? HELL NO!
She tells him nothing. Breaks up with him and moves away. He has no freaking idea what happened or why.
God, I hate stupid, completely moronic characters.

Claire and Brayden get a second chance at loving each other. The road to their forever wasn’t a smooth one. It was riddled with bumps and detours. Those don’t detract from their ability to find their way back to each other. Author Taylor Delong gives just enough suspense to keep you reading just one more page! Taylor’s storytelling ability is top notch and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this couple. Off to read book 2!
This is the best Second Chance Romance I’ve read in a long time! I loved it! It was an emotional read! I laughed one minute and cried the next! It grabbed me from the start and wouldn’t let me go! With all the twists I kept wondering what would happen next! I loved Clair and Brayden! They were great together! Taylor has written a fantastic story! I can’t wait for more from Taylor!
I picked this book up thinking it would be a great romance, and it delivered! I loved the dual POV, with Claire and Brayden both delivering a different feel to the story. I was urging them on from the first few chapters and found it a brilliant read. I loved this book and loved the way the story was told. Brilliant love story and overall just amazing. Recommended
I loved this book from the very beginning. The mystery of what tore them apart, and then seeing them make their way to happily ever after. I cried, I laughed, and then cried some more. This was a story I just didn't want to end, but when it did end, it ended perfectly.
Waiting on Forever was my first book that I read by Taylor Delong!! It was an amazing book! It sucked me in from the very first page! Claire and Brayden's story is a timeless second chance romance that is beautifully written! Looking forward to reading more!
Waiting on Forever follows Clair and Brayden. They meet as kids, fall in love, break up, and run into each other again. Will there be another chance this time around? This is a sweet story of second chances and what can happen when you learn to talk and listen to each other.
I positively adored this book. Brayden and Claire had an awesome second chance romance that was amazing to read about. The story, characters, and dialogue were on point. It also helps that Brayden is hot as heck!!! Well done!!!
I enjoyed reading about how Claire and Brayden meet as kids and how their relationship grows and how they deal with everything that happens and i love the end ! This is the first book of Taylors that I have read and look forward to reading more of her books.

This was a good book, I’ve had it forever it just got lost in my tbr pile. I enjoyed reading this book and getting to know these characters. I can’t wait to see what book 2 has in store for us…
This was an excellent debut novel, hats off to Taylor Delong! The love story between Claire and Brayden was sweet and the road had some bumps. The supporting characters in this story were also very well developed. Her descriptive writing makes you feel as if you too live in the suburb of Laketon and Claire's family is one you also feel a part of. I will definitely keep reading more books from this author!
This book had me feeling mad, happy, sad, in love, heartbroken, everything. It left me wanting to know what's going to happen next with Claire and Bray. These two have known each other since childhood and the way they find and lose their love is a remarkably written story. It had me hooked. All of the characters are lovable and it's not your usual romcom. I had to force myself to put the damn book down. If you want a story with a little bit of everything read this book!!
Taylor Delong is a new to me author, but I plan on enjoying many more of her books in the coming days. This story has a little bit of everything. I laughed. i cried. I got really irrated. I swear steam exploded from my ears.
The story is a second chance romance bringing Claire and Brayden back together after four years. They have awkward moments that are very entertaining. Brayden's actions can get super swoon worthy. Who doesn't want a guy willing to drive three hours to see you. You better get out a fan for when the start getting hot and heavy. Talk about HOT!!!
It isn't all fun and games. They have to deal with the past. They have to actually talk. Their confessions to one another--heart palpatations. They have to deal with the unexpected that isn't very pretty. Their journey is full of lots of drama. Secondary characters add a lot to the story. Although I will admit I thought ugly things during some of their actions.
