I absolutely loved this book! I have read all of the C.O.R.E. books and always look forward to a new one. Possessed is about a character named Celeste who is capable of getting readings from objects as well as talk to the dead. Celeste's strength is still being developed and she often finds herself in situations that will keep you up late at night to see what happens. The author knows how to get into your head with her stories. You need to get this book, you will not be disappointed.

Celeste and John Cain are character's we met in the first book of the Core series. Since that book the author created a separate series for them as Celeste is the only character in the Core series that deals in the paranormal. John was a bit of a dick about Celeste's psychic visions when they first met and even at the beginning of their marriage. He loved her but it was hard for him at first to accept the things she could do and how at times it put her in danger. When they had their first child he worried even more because she could go into a trance at any time endangering their daughter. As time went on, John came to accept Celeste's gift and even got to see first hand the good it could do – finding lost children – saving souls from the evil keeping them from passing on – and that their love grounded them both in the real and spirit world. . The last book dealt with a really evil ghost that had been killing for over 100 years. Turns out at the end of that book things didn't end quite the way we thought they did.

Now on to my feelings about this book. Yes feelings and not review. Why.. Well I realized while I was reading this book that sometime during the 6 books John and Celeste have been in I became very protective of John. The author has a diabolical brain and likes to put her character's through hell. Especially these two.
I equally love both John and Celeste's character's and think they are perfect for each other. They have been through so much that a part of me just wants to them to have some normalcy for a while. What happens in this book is so far from that and what John has to go through during this book was almost more than I could handle. Remember that evil ghost I mentioned from the last book – well he has possessed John's body for months now and only John who is locked inside his own body with the madman knows. He has to watch this evil man play husband to his wife and father to his kids. This was at times more than I could stomach to read.. For once I couldn't wait to get to the end of the book – where I hoped a happy ending awaited (well as much as of a happy ending as this author likes to give). And it WAS a great, heart warming, touching ending that I was ecstatic about.

Even though this book “upset” me due to my feelings about John – who yes I know is a fictional character, I love this author and please take this “review” as a little tongue and cheek as its meant to be.

John and Celeste are back with a bang!! I love these characters they've been through some crazy things but now John is possessed by a evil ghost who wants to kill his family. I was on the edge of my seat though this whole book. I've been looking forward to this book since I finished Poisoned and it did not disappoint. Kristine Mason always comes up with some really twisted bad guys and of course the ending is leading right into the next book . If you love Romantic suspense with really evil bad guys, awesome story line and great love story with a little paranormal thrown in you have to read this book.

Once I started this book I could not put it down. This is the 4th book in the Celeste Files series, but seriously, they are all so well written you could read each one as a stand alone. I enjoyed this book so much that I have decided to re-read the entire series again.
Kristine Mason has once again knocked it out of the ball field with a scary fast paced novel that makes you remember the power of love. The characters were very believable and the banter between John and Vigo were sometimes cracking me up. A very enjoyable read that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys physic mysteries. I can't wait for the next book :)

Celeste: Possessed by Kristine Mason is going much darker than Celeste’s previous stories…and, twisted me, I am excited about it. The nightmare begins from the opening sentence.

Exorcist, step aside…Vigo is alive and well.

This ghost story scared the bejesus out of me, as the battle raged and John struggled to regain control and save his own life.

Now John knows what it’s like to be Possessed, but he doesn’t know how to fight back. He’s helpless, watching the demon make love to his wife Celeste. Imagine the frustration of such powerlessness. Celeste is unaware of the evil surrounding her. I wonder how long it will take Celeste to figure it out…then Donati BEWARE.

Celeste is psychic, she can see and hear ghosts. So dinner with Maxine, her mentor, may shed some light and open Celeste’s eyes to what is happening right under her nose.

Maxine and her unicorn room hold a special place in my heart.

Her trance gets her thinking…one thing leads to another…

Celeste…hurry…time is ticking away. She is terrified she cannot save him, but I believe.

The suspense is building to a fever pitch. I fear for her, her children and her family and friends. John has risked everything for her, so she is more than willing to do the same.

I loved when John tells Celeste he wanted to kick his own ass. Horror and humor, a fantastic combination .

Olivia and Mason, her kids… Olivia has the gift, but both kids know John is not John. Is it the kid thing or something more? I am curious if Kristine will do anything with Olivia and her gift.

This love story crosses the boundaries of our reality and takes us to the dark side of the paranormal. An evil more subtle than the Exorcist but just as deadly.

The suspense kept building and building, going from bad to worse to worst. I fear for all of their lives and wonder…will Kristine kill one or more of them off? Would she really do that?

As I read of the black oozing menace, I pictured Supernatural episodes. It allowed me to let the story unfold as if it was a movie and made if even more frightening.

Each story for the Celeste series gets more intense, as she goes deeper into her gift.

Primal, due out in March of 2017, will be her greatest challenge of all and I am rubbing my hands together with glee and a wicked grin on my face as I anticipate the deliciousness of more evil, more battles and more victory for Celeste.

I have been waiting for this book for what seems like forever (I know, dramatic much?) and it was so worth the wait. Celeste is back and she has a battle ahead of her! Her soulmate, the love of her life, is now occupied by an evil entity. The way this book started really set the tone and pace of the story. We see John’s mindset and know the fight is on from page 1. And what a fight it is. I really thought the pace of this story was exactly right. Time was of the essence and I could feel the sense of urgency with every page. That "need to get there" before it’s too late kept me on edge and kept my nose buried in the book. And the underlying theme of love/hate and how the purity of those emotions shape who we become and how we live. Bravo! I love this series. I adore watching this family grow and change. And boy, this newest twist will be such fun to watch! I’m excited for the next one already!

I loved how John had more of the forefront in this book! Also really enjoyed how characters from the last book were also pulled into this book giving more background as well as some finality. It was interesting to see how Celeste used her abilities in this story line. I really enjoyed this one and it was a very fast read! Looking forward to the next one. I received a free ebook in exchange for my honest review.

The whole time I was on the edge of my seat during all the suspenseful scenes, and I loved all the hidden gems Kristine put in from her other books! Can't wait for number 6!

WOW!!!!!
This was massively emotional especially with the big ending. I couldn't even imagine being in either Celeste or John's place.

John has been possessed by a very evil spirit that him and his wife had already fought against and thought had one. Imagine being trapped in your own body and being able to see everything the person in charge is doing? It would drive me crazy. Seeing what is being done in his name and body and not being able to stop it? Oh hell no!

Celeste doesn't understand why her husband has been acting different. Her kids and dog are scared of him and he isn't as loving as he use to be. When she  does a reading for a case things click into place. Yes she is a psychic and didn't notice her husband is him. Sometimes it's easier to see things that aren't as personal to you? And she is still a little shaken up from the last case. Still massive guilt and doubt in herself is heartbreaking to read.

This book is full of evil, heartbreak, physical and mental pain but also beauty and faith. I was in tears reading how much these two love each other and the fight they have to face. Another great book.

3.5 Stars. Possessed is the 4th book in the Celeste Files which is a spin off series from her C.O.R.E. series. While you could read this as a stand alone you'll get more enjoyment if you've read the previous books in the series and especially the 3rd book since this plot takes place right after that book and continues some of the "story" from that book.

I have to admit the first 30 to 40% of this book is tough to read. Not because it isn't well written it is but it was just really hard to read about what John and Celeste are going through. I just wanted to get to the part where Celeste realized that John was possessed. These two characters have been through so much and this book is no different. I loved that John played a front and center role in this book. There was plenty of suspense and the reader couldn't help but wonder how they would "fix" John and have their happy ending.

Another really intense, scary and interesting book.

A copy of this book was provided to me by the author with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

I love all of Kristine Mason books. The Celeste files are very dramatic, interesting and hard to put down. I love Celeste and her gifts, her relationship with John and her babies. In this book you were able to see that her children as well will have her gifts. Hope to see that take on a future role in these books. I did not like that John was possessed in this book, being attached to the characters this was tough for me. It was hard to see Celeste and John not in a good spot as they are always so loving and caring in all the other books. The story line was well written and John is able to let the demon controlling him know when hes doing wrong and when he needs to pay attention to something in John's life. I was worried what affect this might have on Johns future. The ending of the book lets you know to expect more books. Thank you for writing these wonderful series and Im glad I get to preread them.
