Meet Holly and Priscilla, they are as different as night and day. However, they have one thing in common; they live in an abusive home. Their abuser is the one person that is supposed to love and protect them. Everyone knows how abusive Greta can be. They have seen the bruises left upon two little girls, and they have also heard Greta call her children the worst names a person can call someone. Let alone call your own daughters. It will take only one brave little girl to try and protect her siblings, and by doing so she has put her life in danger. Priscilla has broken the golden rule of silence, and her own mother will try and even the score. But that won’t stop Priscilla from trying to right the wrongs her mother has done. It will be a race to see if Priscilla can out smart her own mother and make it to her eighteenth birthday. This book is based on true life events of two sisters. The names and locations have been changed to protect the innocent, as well as the guilty for they have not paid for their crimes against the children in this book. This book also contains extreme child abuse, strong language, attempted murder, and sexual content. This book is for mature audience only.
This was the most moving, exciting, entertaining and saddest story I have read in a while. I just don't understand how so many authorized people could turn their heads and NOT DO ANYTHING!!!. How can this happen??. I was so excited when they finally agged out and wouldn't have to live with them anymore😊🤗. Molly and Shannon are amazing writers and PHENOMENAL authors.
I’m giving this a 5 because I could not put this down, horrible childhood for the author and her sister. I’m hoping she continues with a second book. Although I gave it a 5 star, the book needed edited, especially towards the end.
Yes there are grammatical errors but you can get what the author is saying. Besides that it is a tough read i cant believe how the law is set up for abused children it saddens me how screwed up the protection is for these children no wonder they run away and would rather be on the streets i was also very frustrated with the grandparents they should have done more 😢
I was so brokenhearted reading this story......I just wanted to reach out and hug Priscilla & Holly....and beat the brakes off their sorry mother. There was a ton of grammatical errors but still.....it was a heartwrenching story and a good read in my opinion. Sure hope there is a part 2 coming though.....
The story is interesting, but it was difficult to follow because of the numerous misspellings, grammatical errors and missing words, as well as other errors; for example, "September 31, 1986". It appeared as though the author is rushing to finish the book, because there were many more errors towards the ending. Where was the editor?
The story was good. The grammar and spelling are not so good. Sometimes it was hard to follow because of the spelling and grammar errors. I only wish that we could have found out how her life has changed and how she got beyond the pain of her childhood and moved forward with her life. The ending of this book was quite abrupt.
It ended too abruptly, not even an ending. Many typos and grammatical errors made reading this difficult. I wish it had ended with some hope that this girl had changed.
