First off, I want to say that The Steele Security series has been one of my all time favorite series. Whenever anyone asks me for a book recommendation this is the series that always pops first in my mind, ALWAYS!! I have both been impatiently waiting and dreading this book. Impatiently waiting I know you get, but why did I dread it? Well, because it is the last book in this series and I wasn't and if I'm truthful am still not ready for it to end. I have told Ms. Justice explicitly that this series must go on forever. I mean surely they will want to get in some trouble somewhere down the line right?
Now, on to this book. I don't know that I have ever really had trouble with how to write a review of a book before. Usually the words just come to mind immediately and BOOM there's the review. With this one however, I have pondered on it, thought and thought about it for days and days and still I don't know how to put into words just how wonderful this book really is. Each book in this series is amazing as I have previously stated but this one, this one is beyond amazing, beyond what I could have even imagined it to be. To say it blew me away is doing it a disservice because it did so much more than that. I beta read this one and as a beta reader I am so critical about every little thing. As I was reading this I kept thinking to myself, oh I don't know about this, even voiced it to the author, but in the end how she wrote it couldn't have been more right. Shadow was that character throughout the other books that I always wondered what exactly his story would be like. I imagined quite a few things, but it was nothing like I imagined it. It really was so much more. I have loved all these characters. I am invested in these characters. In fact, I have always said that there was no way I could love a book more than I did with Noah (Wicked Games) and Bull (Wicked Ties) however I was so very wrong. Shadow's book implanted itself in the forefront of my heart. This book is unlike the others. This one made me feel different things. Now, let me be clear here, that does not mean that I love the other books any less. It just means that this one was very unexpected. I have learned with this author to always expect the unexpected because she always keeps you on your toes. This book is the only book in this series that CAN BE read as a STANDALONE, however I do believe you will enjoy it so much more by reading the others. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this book, this series, this author. She makes the characters come to life. Makes you feel and I mean really FEEL what the characters do. And I guarantee will leave a life long impression on you.

I have been waiting for this book since we were first introduced to Steele Security wondering what the illusive Shadow was like and A.D. Justice did not disappoint. Elle has been in awe and in love with her brothers best friend Devon since she was small he was her hero until she fell in love with him. As time went on Devon went off to the service and she started modeling and she hadn't seen him in three years but when she was going to Miami for a movie promotion she arranged to meet him. They spend the next three days together doing normal stuff and Elle couldn't be happier but something about Devon was hidden she couldn't place it.
Devon also known as Shadow can never share with Elle what he does for a living nor can he be seen with her. Shadow has enemies that would not stop to hurt Elle just to hurt him but one day she just disappears. When Shadow finds out she is missing he will move heaven and earth to find her no matter what even if it kills him.
This story captures you right from beginning to end and if I shed a few tears it was worth it.

I really didn't think that this series could get any better but the author proved me very wrong. I loved every book but this one is definitely my favorite of the series. A very suspenseful, exciting and sexy story. I experienced so many emotions while read....I laughed, I cried, I screamed and swore. I was so sad when I got to the end because I didn't want it to be over. Loved getting Shadow and Elle's story from beginning to end.

Devon Aka Shadow knew Elle from early childhood,the sister of his best friend. Elle always thought Devon was cute but she was a lot younger then him and her brother would never stand for it. But as she grew up there ages didn't seem to matter anymore and there relationship grew. But there career paths led them breaking apart. Now a actress Elle finds herself in trouble and mysterious disappearances start to happen on her movie set. She contacts her brother trying to believe it's her imagination. But it isn't. Her brother calls in Devon to help and now he has to go deep undercover to help. Elle not knowing what's going on sees Devon and believes the worse. Is there hope or is it too late

This series had me hooked from the beginning. So many twists and turns. Each character has his own book but each book concentrates more on one character at a time. This is Shadows book, highly anticipated. Without giving spoilers away. Wow ..what a journey it takes. Keeps you on the edge of your seat at times. If you loved the earlier books you won't want to miss this one.

Oh My! As I stated, I received an advanced reader copy of this book, but had not read any of the previous stories in the series. Not needed, but boy do I want to, if they were anything like this one! I truly loved Elle and Devon's story, although there were times I wanted to shake Elle and say "Really, girl! Open your eyes and figure it out!"This author writes in such a way that you experience the character's journey with them - you get so involved that it's almost as if you have no choice but to feel what they feel. One part in particular - I actually felt my stomach drop and my chest hurt as tears streamed down my cheeks!

I loved this book. I think Shadow's has to be my favorite so far. I know this says it can be read as a stand-alone but I highly recommend that you read the previous 4 to actually understand all they players. I am now really invested in the story and really, really hope that Silas's story will be next in line. If you want a great hawt guy series this is a great place to look. The men of Steele Security deliver th goods.

I cannot put into words how amazing Wicked Shadows was, not only is it an epic romance but it's also an action packed adventure. I was hooked from page one, right up until the last page.
I laughed, I bawled, I cussed AD Justice, I smiled; you name the emotion it will be felt reading this book.
Shadow aka Devon has always been a mystery throughout the series and his story is full of adventure and romance; who knew Mr Secretive was ohh so, wow
Elle, I just loved her to pieces and she is the yin to Shadow's yang.
Angel ended the Steele Secuirty series beautifully, it will be sad saying goodbye to them but she seriously did Justice (get it...) with Wicked Shadows
#RIPDoorman will never have the same meaning again.

I adore Steele Security so very much and I have eagerly awaited Devon’s story. Whenever reading a Steele Security story, it is wicked and hot, passionate and suspenseful.
This is Devon and Elle's love story. When the story starts, we get a look at how their story starts which is Elle fell in love with Devon at age 7 yrs old. Devon is friend’s with Elle’s brother. He was her first hero, now he's the only man she's ever wanted. Devon grows up to work special ops and is a deep cover CIA agent working with Steele Security. He is in the shadows which affects his relationship with Elle and has them estranged years later. Elle is a former top model, turned actress that lives in the limelight. Not to say there was a period where they had this brief love affair. They love each other deeply but his job causes a riff and Shadow's secrets and his job weigh heavily between them. Finally, it breaks them to break apart.
What brings them back together is when Elle is kidnapped. Her brother begs Devon to find her. Devon's skillset makes him ideal for this job, but his personal feelings are involved this time. This is his woman, his love and he will do ANYTHING to bring her home.
There are many crazy twists and turns in this story. Devon and Elle’s story will have you in tears, will have you holding your breath praying they finally get their HEA. If there was anything that deserved happiness , it is these two. There is so many things going on in this story, it is action packed, with suspense and intrigue. There is also passion and heat but most of all, there is love, deep abiding love between the MC. You will also see previous couples/characters make appearances.. all I can say is this is one story that you have to read for it is insanely good.

This is the first book by AD Justice that I have read, however I have already uploaded the entire Steele Security series, so I have plans to read many more. Even with the small exposure to the rest of the security firm, I know I want more. Wicked Shadows was a fun read. It was sexy, suspenseful, well-paced, and well-written.
This is Devon and Elle's love story. Elle has been in love with her older brother's best friend Devon since she was 7 years old. He was her first hero, now he's the only man she's ever wanted. Devon "Shadow" was special ops and is a deep cover CIA agent working with Steele Security. He lives in the shadows, Elle is a former top model, turned actress that lives in the limelight. When the two meet back up as adults, the attraction is mutual and an unusual love affair starts up lasting over the years. They each feel deeply for the other, but don't see each other for long stretches of time and Shadow's secrets weigh heavily between them. Finally, it breaks them apart.
When Elle goes missing her brother begs Devon to find her. Devon's skillset makes him ideal for this job, but his personal feelings are involved this time. He will do whatever it takes to save the only woman he's only loved, but can he save her in time and keep them both alive.
The characters made this book special. The story was captivating, but Elle and Devon and
their connection elevated this book into something much more. They were each wonderful and their times together, so perfect. The love crossed relationship and the pain each felt because of their chosen lives was touching. The fact that Devon unwillingly hurt Elle with his secrets while being a national hero, made it even more so. The finale was all I could have hoped for. I enjoyed every second of their story and look forward to backtracking to the rest of the Steele Security family's stories.

Ok so this is my favorite and also my least favorite in the Steele Security Series. It's my least favorite because it's the last and I don't want this series to end!!!! And it's my favorite because A.D. has saved the best for last and I didn’t think I would say that!! I thought Reaper’s book would be my favorite but Shadow’s book has stolen my heart!!! Although at some points in this book I thought about hunting A.D. down to beat her down for breaking my heart and having me screaming NO!!!!! I love the way you get the backstory on them and how you get a feel on both of them. You have no doubt on how they feel and where they both stand. The characters are well developed and you finally get to know Shadow so much better. And Elle is his perfect counterpart. I love her and her feistyness and her ability to stay strong in most situations. This book can be read as a standalone but I still would read all of them together just so you know the family and how the work together. This is the perfect conclusion to one of my favorite series except I don't want it to end. I love these boys and girls and could read a dozen books about them!!! So if that isn't a testament to how good these books are then I don't know what else I could possibly say except that I highly recommend this series!

#WickedShadows-I totally enjoyed this story. I first started this series with Wicked Games, Brianna and Noah's story and that story was amazing, so I knew that Ms. Justice does not disappoint her readers. This was the fabulous story of Devon "Shadow" Kane and his best friend's sister,Elle Moore. She became Elle Sinclair, her stage name, when she began modeling and acting but her heart has always belonged to Devon, since the young age of seven. Devon and Elle started their relationship about 13 years later and remained in a relationship. It was tough at times because of Devon's line of work taking him away so often and because he is unable to disclose that information to Elle. This makes for a strained long distance relationship between the two, but they are soooooo in love with each other. They do go through some ups and downs, however when her life is in danger, Devon jumps into action to save his girl. This story is wonderfully written, action packed, the sex between the two is HOT and we get to see the rest of the members from Steele Security. Yay!!! Devon and Elle do get their HEA! I loved it! 4.5 stars

MY NEW FAVORITE !!!

Oh my! I'm a very happy girl! I have so been looking forward to this book and A.D. Justice didn't disappoint! I love romance, adore suspense, completely smitten with strong, sexy alpha heroes, and completely addicted to action/adventure, but give me all four in one great read and I'm in heaven. And A D Justice has delivered the perfect combination in one sexy romp! Justice rocked my world AGAIN with Wicked Shadows, the riveting fifth release(and possibly final?) in her phenomenal Steele Security Series. I've now read all five books in the series and I still want more! I found A.D. Justice several years ago when the first book of the series, Wicked Games, was offered as a free download on Amazon, and I've always been a sucker for a bargain. I'd never read any of her work nor had I even heard of her, but I was intrigued by the blurb, so why the heck not!?! It's free and I pride myself on being an equal opportunity bargain shopper. Hey, don't laugh; I've found a lot of great authors by taking advantage of Amazon's free promotional offers and the day I found A D Justice was definitely my lucky day. But I digress, back to my explanation. I loved the first book so much, I raced back to Amazon to see if there were other books available in the series and JACKPOT - there were three more books: Wicked Ties (Book 2), Wicked Nights (Book Three) and Wicked Intentions (Book 4). Like I said - Jackpot! And you know what's coming, right? Yup, I quickly snapped up the remaining three books and immediately began my Steele Security binge. I read all four books in one sitting, and buttons over biscuits, they were all just as fabulous as the first! I'm in heaven! Then, like all my fellow Justice fans, I began the wait for probably the most highly anticipated book of the series, Wicked Shadows featuring the always mysterious 'Shadow' aka Devon Kane, CIA operative and Steele Security team member. Although this book can definitely be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the entire series in order of their release. It will certainly enrich your reading experience and I'm sure it's one decision you'll never regret. But let's talk details!
Wicked Shadows is an exciting, sexy, fast-paced, easy-to-follow, well-crafted and beautifully written story with a third person omniscient narrative but the primary perspectives are from 35-year-old former Special Forces Black Ops veteran and current CIA operative Devon 'Shadow' Kane, who is also a member of the Steele Security team, and 28-year-old Hollywood starlet Elle Sinclair. The dialogue is smart, natural, well executed and flows effortlessly. But I have to admit, the pièce de résistance and my favorite element of the entire series is the magnificent cast of characters. They are fascinating, intriguing, captivating, relatable, endearing, and totally engaging. Oh, and did I mention that all the men of Steele Security are sexy as sin? Well, they're real panty melters! Hubba! Hubba! Even the bad guys of the series are formidable and well portrayed. They're truly the kind of villains we all love to hate! I fell head over heels for this entire group of courageous former Special Operatives who have become the members of Steele Security. Although all the characters from the first four books make a return appearance in this story, Wicked Shadows primarily features Shadow and Elle with a little backup from family and friends, which is especially important to this story since Shadow and Elle have known each other since childhood. Devon was the best friend of Elle's older brother, Jeff, and 8 years older than Elle. But at only age 7, Elle knew Devon was the only guy for her! Devon was Elle's first crush. Actually, he was her one and only crush! OMG! How adorable! With Devon's job requiring him to live life in the 'shadows' and Elle's career demanding a very public presence, you'd think a relationship for them would be impossible but as the old saying goes, the heart wants what the heart wants and the pull between this pair of unlikely lovers was undeniable. Where there's a will, there's always a way, especially in matters of the heart, and there's no doubt, Devon and Elle love each other very much and their sexual chemistry was off the charts! Unfortunately, love sometimes requires sacrifices and, this time, the ultimate sacrifice may be required for Shadow to save the woman he loves, but will it be too little, too late? We'll see! Of course, the entire gang is back for moral support, including sassy senior citizen Liz Stanton with whom I fell completely in love during Book Three. She's still keeping everyone on their toes and spicing things up with some delightful comic relief. I'll never look at a doghouse the same again! Or nail polish! In this book, we have an all-new villain with dastardly, evil intentions, but never fear, Shadow is up to the challenge. And once again, we're off to the races with a riveting adventure for Shadow and Elle! And yes, we get all the answers to Shadow's mysterious past! No spoilers from me, but I will say this was the most emotionally gripping story to date. Justice not only tugged on my heartstrings, she ripped my heart right out of my chest in this book. Thankfully, there was also an equal measure of chuckles and giggles, but by the end, I was happy, sated and well entertained. No more spoilers from me but if you're looking for a story filled to the brim with heart-pounding drama, heart-stopping danger, riveting action, heart-wrenching angst, mind-blowing suspense, heated attraction, fiery passion, heartwarming romance and steamy, dreamy sex, then this is most certainly the book for you.

I've already read this author again. I recently read the second installment of The Warning by Justice, and it's fabulous. I read the first installment of The Warning when it was originally released as part of The Vault, a multi-author collection released in November 2017! And finally, was I entertained? Abso-freaking-lutely! I was totally entertained! I was riveted to my ereader, the pages flying as quickly as the time, completely enthralled with my heart fluttering wildly in my chest. It was an incredible experience! And folks, please allow me to impart a little advice: make sure you have several hours to read all 366 pages because once you start, you won't be able to stop until you've read the last word! Just sayin'! I sure would love to see a sixth book, A.D. Justice! I think Silas deserves a book too! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Oh my! I'm a very happy girl! I have so been looking forward to this book and A.D. Justice didn't disappoint! I love romance, adore suspense, completely smitten with strong, sexy alpha heroes, and completely addicted to action/adventure, but give me all four in one great read and I'm in heaven. And A D Justice has delivered the perfect combination in one sexy romp! Justice rocked my world AGAIN with Wicked Shadows, the riveting fifth release(and possibly final?) in her phenomenal Steele Security Series. I've now read all five books in the series and I still want more! I found A.D. Justice several years ago when the first book of the series, Wicked Games, was offered as a free download on Amazon, and I've always been a sucker for a bargain. I'd never read any of her work nor had I even heard of her, but I was intrigued by the blurb, so why the heck not!?! It's free and I pride myself on being an equal opportunity bargain shopper. Hey, don't laugh; I've found a lot of great authors by taking advantage of Amazon's free promotional offers and the day I found A D Justice was definitely my lucky day. But I digress, back to my explanation. I loved the first book so much, I raced back to Amazon to see if there were other books available in the series and JACKPOT - there were three more books: Wicked Ties (Book 2), Wicked Nights (Book Three) and Wicked Intentions (Book 4). Like I said - Jackpot! And you know what's coming, right? Yup, I quickly snapped up the remaining three books and immediately began my Steele Security binge. I read all four books in one sitting, and buttons over biscuits, they were all just as fabulous as the first! I'm in heaven! Then, like all my fellow Justice fans, I began the wait for probably the most highly anticipated book of the series, Wicked Shadows featuring the always mysterious 'Shadow' aka Devon Kane, CIA operative and Steele Security team member. Although this book can definitely be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the entire series in order of their release. It will certainly enrich your reading experience and I'm sure it's one decision you'll never regret. But let's talk details!
Wicked Shadows is an exciting, sexy, fast-paced, easy-to-follow, well-crafted and beautifully written story with a third person omniscient narrative but the primary perspectives are from 35-year-old former Special Forces Black Ops veteran and current CIA operative Devon 'Shadow' Kane, who is also a member of the Steele Security team, and 28-year-old Hollywood starlet Elle Sinclair. The dialogue is smart, natural, well executed and flows effortlessly. But I have to admit, the pièce de résistance and my favorite element of the entire series is the magnificent cast of characters. They are fascinating, intriguing, captivating, relatable, endearing, and totally engaging. Oh, and did I mention that all the men of Steele Security are sexy as sin? Well, they're real panty melters! Hubba! Hubba! Even the bad guys of the series are formidable and well portrayed. They're truly the kind of villains we all love to hate! I fell head over heels for this entire group of courageous former Special Operatives who have become the members of Steele Security. Although all the characters from the first four books make a return appearance in this story, Wicked Shadows primarily features Shadow and Elle with a little backup from family and friends, which is especially important to this story since Shadow and Elle have known each other since childhood. Devon was the best friend of Elle's older brother, Jeff, and 8 years older than Elle. But at only age 7, Elle knew Devon was the only guy for her! Devon was Elle's first crush. Actually, he was her one and only crush! OMG! How adorable! With Devon's job requiring him to live life in the 'shadows' and Elle's career demanding a very public presence, you'd think a relationship for them would be impossible but as the old saying goes, the heart wants what the heart wants and the pull between this pair of unlikely lovers was undeniable. Where there's a will, there's always a way, especially in matters of the heart, and there's no doubt, Devon and Elle love each other very much and their sexual chemistry was off the charts! Unfortunately, love sometimes requires sacrifices and, this time, the ultimate sacrifice may be required for Shadow to save the woman he loves, but will it be too little, too late? We'll see! Of course, the entire gang is back for moral support, including sassy senior citizen Liz Stanton with whom I fell completely in love during Book Three. I LOVE my Steele Security men! All of the books in this series are AMAZING! A.D. Justice is such a phenomenal writer. Her books always flow well, and the stories are always so good. I never feel cheated at the end of her books.
Wicked Shadows is about Devon "Shadow" Kane and Elle. Devon is your dangerous, sneaky, slippery, sexy, undercover CIA/Steele Security operative. Elle is your beautiful model/actress. Elle has had a major crush on Devon since she was 7 years old. Devon and her older brother Jeff were best friends. As the years went on, the "crush" turned into love. Devon tried his best to fight it on his side, until Elle makes a trip to Miami. That's when things really take off for these two. His job didn't allow them to have a normal relationship, but Elle didn't care. That is until she wanted more...
This is when the story gets really good. I won't give away any spoilers (even though it's really hard not to). This book has so many twists and turns. I laughed, cried, and I even shrieked out loud about 70% into it. You'll be completely shocked at how everything plays out. Read Wicked Shadows! Another great addition to the Steele Security series. Devon has known Elle since she was a little girl. Elle has always seen Devon as her protector/prince. Over her adult years while she was modeling and in the limelight, Devon assumed the moniker of Shadow and lived in the darkness. When they started a relationship, Elle had to be kept in the dark about what Devon did for a living. When she goes missing , Elle's family calls Devon for his expertise. Can Shadow save her? Can he save himself?
This was an amazing read. I laughed, I cried, I gasped as the plot unfolded. The Steele Family just keeps getting better and better!

I wish this wasn't the last book in the Steele Security series. This is Shadow's story. And what a story!! I loved it! Couldn't put it down until I was done. Have your tissues handy!

Absolutely love this series, every book gets better and better. I couldn't wait to read Shadow's story and it was everything I thought it would be. My emotions were all over the place, you can't help to get sucked in to the story and the characters. Shadow & Elle's love is undeniable and you can feel how much they love each other as you read their story. Another amazing story that I will never forget.

OHHH Mizz Justice.... Shadow has always had a special place in my heart throughout the series... and you did him justice! I was so happy to finally read this one. And SWOON! OMG did I ever! This book was stunningly written with just the right amount of passion and intrigue that keeps you on your toes and begging for more!
Shadow for me, was always a tortured soul. Enter Elle, who has always been in his life.. but is the game changer. I love these two together and I love having the other players in the game as it gives this story so much more depth and come full circle.
Not gonna lie. I am seriously sad this series has come to an end. I fell in love from the start and I think it will be one of my top series of all time. Thank you AD Justice for such a brilliant series that is beyond unique and scorching!

Wicked Shadows is an Amazing end to a phenomenal series! The Steele Security series is one of my top favorites, but Shadow's book! So so good! He is definitely my new favorite! Who would have guessed he was hiding such a great story throughout the first four books?
Keeping with the flow of the series A.D. Justice delivers a romantic suspense that will keep you up all night turning pages, unable to put the book down! I can't even express how I felt reading this book, there are twists I never in a million years saw coming! And, oh the emotions! I don't think I've ever reacted so strongly to a book! I'm talking good old fashioned ugly crying, mixed with a content love that just fills your heart! I am sad this is the last book in the series, I really really love this series, but if it has to end, this was the perfect ending. I feel complete, even if I am still a little shell shocked from my emotions while reading!

I definitely need a sixth star on this book! Omg! The non stop action was riveting. Shadow has always been a favorite of mine from the series, but he has just took front row property. Elle was a perfect match for him which made the relationship and the passion chart topping. This book may be part of a series, but could be a standalone, although I do recommend reading them in order so you can fall in love and appreciate the characters as they were intended. My emotions were all over the place, and because I felt like I knew the characters better than real people, I can't say enough! This is absolutely a must read book! Book gifted to me.

Oh my gosh this was amazing. I loved this story. I couldn't wait to get past the past between Elle & Devon to get to the action and rescue of it. I loved Liz. She made me really laugh at the end. I loved her quirkiness and hardheadedness. I fell in love with this story.

The story is she and her co-star Jax eloped which Jeff knows is utter foolishness because she can't stand Jax. However, Elle isn't the only actress to drop off the face of the earth, never to be heard from again. In order for Shadow to find her he must go undercover CIA again and get her family to comply with his instructions or they all could die!
Shadow is in a race of time to find and rescue Elle before it's too late. Will he get to her in time? If he finds her, will they rekindle their relationship?

Wow. What an amazing story. Loved all the twists and turns in the book. Shadow is one complicated alpha male. Elle is one strong willed woman. They have one long strong complicated connection. Could not put this book down. The whole Steele security family is one loving loyal bunch. They would do anything for each other. A must read. Amazing love story.

Great read!. I stayed up til 3 am. until I finished the book. Devon and Elle had great chemistry if somewhat on again then gone relationship due to the fact that he works for CIA and undercover while Elle is in movies. So actresses start getting kidnapped for trafficking and Devon goes undercover to save Elle. Loved this book so much went and got the other books from this author. Definitely would recommend this.

So a good book is one that keeps me wanting more. One where I can become invested. I became invested with these characters in the first book of the series. Getting to know some of the characters even further in each additional book has been a blessing. Getting to Shadow and his story was great.
Elle is so cute from the first time we see her playing spy. Many things hide in the shadows and most of them are not nice. This story kept me wanting more! #WickedShadows

This was given as an arc. I was so glad to see Shadow's book. This series is so good!! You can read stand alone but why when you get to know them all. This book definitely kept me on my toes. One hell of a ride. Another hot security guy with lots of secrets. Devon and Elle are so great, you really need to grab this and get to know them, you won't be sorry.

We get to see all our favourite alpha males but this story focuses on Devon "Shadow" Kane & the life he leads working for the CIA.
Elle Moore is the sister of Shadow's childhood best friend. She spent her youth following Devon around & developed a major crush.
We get to follow their story both in the present day & over the previous years which gives a great insight into these two characters.
As with all A D Justice books there is a fantastic dose of suspense thrown in which will have your heart beating out of your chest & also make your heart stop a few times whilst reading.
I absolutely adore this series & while I'm sad it's come to the end I think everything has been wrapped up perfectly. So honoured to have the privilege of reading this book early
