Book 1: Peter

Great Series

This book was a good read. It had suspense, romance, sex, true love and happiness. I would definitely recommend this book.

Eu aguardei muito pela história sobre Hayden e logo fiquei entusiasmada para ler o box.
Recomendo ler a série toda porque o suspense e a conspiração vai se desenvolvendo desde o primeiro livro da série. O mistério é bem desenvolvido e ficamos na dúvida sobre quem é o vilão e qual sua verdadeira motivação.
Muito boa leitura e o herói finalmente tem seu HEA!

I waited so long for the story about Hayden and soon I was excited to read the box.
I recommend reading the whole series because the suspense and the conspiracy goes developing since the first book in the series. The mystery is well developed and we were in doubt about who is the villain and what your real motivation.
Very good read and the hero finally has his HEA!

Dragon 2

Interesting group of people....so different yet all the same. Their love for each other, their families and friends bonded by their job.

Some authors write. Some tell a story. I read a story. Excited that I was able to read all of the Dragon Security at once. Enjoy this series as much as I. (Gray Wolf Security was great too).

This bundle contains six books that are a continuation of Dragon security. To really understand the book is better to have already read the first books in the series, and even Gray Wolf Texas bundle, because there is a crossover between both series in one of the books.

There are a few issues with typos, and in one of the books they even change the names of some characters. If you like the series or are involved in the author's universe is a must read, but you can't read it as a standalone because it wouldn't work.

Peter

This character was a big part of the plot in the first volume of the series, and in this one, he is the tortured character who thinks his life is over, until he finds a woman who changes his life. Even if the plot is not that original, with the character´s background, it works.

Peter's life is complicated, he is still suffering after spending two years captive by a guy that forced him to help him hurt others by using his software to communicate with terrorists. He feels disconnected and hates that the life he had planned for him is no longer his, and that his brother is living the life he thought he would have, working at his father's company, married and with children. He agreed that it would be better for his son to keep believing that Cole was his father, but he wants a kid, he is even considering a surrogate mother.

Peter is working with Dragon Security, and he is sent undercover to help find information on three candidates for a promotion, and pick the best choice. While being there he gets involved with Heather, and since she doesn't know about his history or his money, he feels safe with her, so they start a relationship, but Peter keeps pretending he is someone different, until a couple of mysterious deaths in Heather's company, first a friend, the girl Peter had picked for the promotion, and then her boss, send the police to interview Heather, and Peter is forced to say who he really is to the police. Heather gets angry at Peter for lying to her after she had confessed so many of her secrets to him, and send him away.

Peter keeps working and is doing his best to forget about Heather, since he thinks he is too damaged and has nothing to offer her, but when she is attacked, he goes back to her and asks her to move with him so he can protect her until they find out who attacked her, then she tells him that she is pregnant and he is very happy about it, happy that he is going to have a son he can claim. They start living together, and even if Peter is not sure what he wants or what Heather wants long term, he is determined to be there for his son. Then Heather finds out that he was looking for a surrogate, and then she finds out about his past, and again she gets angry because she thinks he doesn't care about her and is only using her because she is capable of giving him a son. He is trying to convince her to stay with him, and they go back to his house to talk, and they clear the air, only to find that the guy that killed the people from the company is there waiting for them. The killer is another of the candidates that Peter passed over when he choose who to promote, and he feels like his life fell apart because he didn't get the promotion and blames Peter, and he wants to kill him, but Peter manages to stop him. Then he and Heather decide to stay together and be a family.



Rhett

This book has a lot of references to the first volume, and again we have Luke making mistakes and complicating everything while trying to protect everyone. Rhett´s and Richard/Xander´s story is interesting and their relationship works for me. The whole amnesia thing is well worked and I like how tormented he is while trying to find the truth about himself and how things are resolved, even if everything could have been so much easier if only Luke wasn't such a stupid bastard. Also, there are references to Gray Wolf Security, with a few of them working with the people from Dragon Security to catch the bad guys.

A guy arrives at Dragon Security asking for help to find himself, he explains that he is suffering from amnesia and that many PI already tried to find about him but no one has succeeded, so he goes for the best. Hayden assigns Rhett to his case and they go back to when he woke up after his accident, trying to find clues about him. During that time Richard points a guy that he thinks has been following him, and Rhett sends him to the hotel room while she goes confront the guy, who turns out to be from Gray Wolf, while Rhett is there Richard is attacked by a woman from his past, and Rhett arrives just in time to save him and after tying her up, they leave the scene and go into hiding.

He starts to remember some things and knows his name is Xander, but he is not sure what's going on, but then Luke arrives and confronts him, thinking that he is playing the people from Dragon Security and angry at him because he thinks that Xander is part of the corrupt CIA agents and that he is out to hurt people form Dragon Security for having caught them. By then he is already in a relationship with Rhett, even if she is starting to suspect that he is married in his other life and hurt, he on the other hand is feeling protective of her and wants to keep her safe, so he goes alone to face the guys from Gray Wolf and find more about his past, but Rhett follows him and arrives in time to see his reunion with his sister, the woman she thought was his wife.

Xander goes to Gray Wolf, but Rhett has to go back because her sister is kidnapped. The kidnappers ask for Xander and Megan in exchange of Rhett's sister, and they realize they are the last rogue CIA agents, it turns out that before losing his memory Xander was working on finding the rest of the corrupt CIA agents and they were the ones trying to kill him. So both Security firms get together and make a plan designed to catch the bad guys, and they do, finally ending that plot.



Kevin

This one was interesting because it moves away from the whole security setting. Kevin is working on solving a family matter, but the whole teenage misunderstanding is kind of annoying. Kirsten made his high school years a living hell, and they still love each other? He drops everything and goes to her rescue, well, her sister's rescue, but still, she is mean to him and he still ends up doing what she wants, and once they have a single talk, they are suddenly a couple again. It was too forced, too unrealistic. The story is about Kirsten's family, but once things get complicated, Dragon Security goes to the rescue.

Kirsten calls Kevin because after years of not talking to each other because she needs his help to stop her sister from getting married to the wrong man. He goes to the ranch only to find that Kirsten's sister is not there, that she manipulated him into going there because his parents missed him, and that they are going after her sister the next day. They kind of talk, with Kirsten still mad at him for treating her so bad and being so mean to her (talk about selective memory). The next day they go to Miami and Kevin talks to Kirsten's sister, he meets her and her boyfriend and notice that he is really in love with her, and that they really want to get married, so he promises to help and fools Kirsten into going with him to visit some tourist locations, and manage to get stranded on an island with no way out.

Once there they start talking about their high school years, and Kirsten is still mad at him, but Kevin doesn't understand why, since after their first time together, she called him names, told him he was just the help and that he shouldn't pretend he could be with someone like her, but apparently he should have pined after her, and instead of respecting her wishes and get away, he should have followed her like a lost puppy and beg her for another opportunity, while she spent her time with her brother, who for some reason was mad as hell at him for being mean to Kirsten (what the fuck?). So while his brother and his best friend pushed him away, he got a girlfriend, something that Kirsten took as an offense and as an attack against her, and caused her to break his confidence and tell his secrets to everyone to humiliate him. Of course, it was all Kevin's fault, and he should have apologized to her for making her fight him and make his life miserable. So even if she never apologized for being so mean and crazy and causing him so much damage, they decided to get together again and give it a second chance because neither of them had stopped loving the other.

So he finally convinces her to give her sister the chance to marry, since all she wanted was for her boyfriend to sign a pre-nup so she could be sure her sister's money was safe. The day or the wedding Kevin finds the boyfriend murdered and realizes they used Kirsten's gun, so he takes her and they run away, because he knows she is being set up for the murder. He calls Hayden and everyone goes to help him clear Kirsten's name. They find out that the boyfriend was working with a gang, but when he really fell for Kirsten's sister and decided not to rob her, the other killed him. One of the members of the gang was the daughter of one of Kirsten's employees and was a little crazy, blaming Kirsten for everything wrong in her life, and she wanted her to go to jail. Once everything was solved, Kevin decided to quit Dragon and go back to working at the Ranch so he could be with Kirsten and his family.



Kasey

Kasey has a crazy family and a crazier life, so when they send him to try and find a crazy person working with crazy UFO researchers he feels like he knows what to do. He finds a girl that was a friend of the missing girl, and they work together, and of course, they fall in love, and it turns out they are perfect for each other. It was a crazy book, but it was the perfect opportunity to set the base for what is going to be the main plot for the second part of the volume.

Kasey's family is crazy, his grandmother, mother and aunts have managed to scare every girl he liked. He is used to them, but loves them and hates them at the same time. He is sent to look for a missing person, and meets Karma, and he thinks she is just another crazy girl, but he can't help but feel attracted to her. Together they start to look for his target, and Kasey knows that Karma knows more than she is letting on, but he can't pressure her to tell him what he needs, he needs to be patient.

Karma is attacked and Kasey helps her, then they find his target dead, with her body full of tattoos. They confront Karma's brother, thinking he is responsible, since he was using the target to get close to Karma and try to get her to go back to work for him as a robber. When they prove that he was not involved, they keep investigating, but then a couple is murdered in the same hotel where Karma's brother is and he is pointed as the guilty one, and Karma and Kasey help him. Hayden goes as backup, and he recognizes that the murders are just like his parents'. Hayden and Kasey are supposed to keep investigating, but they send Karma to a "safe place", and she is kidnapped, apparently by the same guy that killed her friend. After further investigation they find out that it was the girl's brother-in-law to kidnap her, and that he is probably the same who has Karma. They find them and discover that he was being blackmailed, and he didn't know that they would kill his sister-in-law, and that he couldn't kill Karma.

Karma moves in with Kasey and they start a relationship, with her fitting right into his family, the first woman that didn't run scared after meeting them, making her perfect for him.



Amelia

This one was interesting, and the one that felt more in line with the whole security firm vibe. Amelia and Rowan have a complicated relationship, she is supposed to keep him safe, and she does, but he is getting under her skin and making her job difficult. They get together under a difficult situation, but somehow they work well together. All books had a lot of action and investigative work, but I feel like this is the one that falls better into the whole security setting, it has protection work, hiding, running away, investigative work, bad guys... it had a little of everything.

Amelia has had a crush on Hayden since she joined the firm, but he is not interested in her. When Rowan arrives, covered in blood, asking for help because someone is setting him for murder, Hayden tells Amelia to take care of him. Since all their security houses are compromised, they send them to Amelia's house. They start collecting evidence and working on how to help him, but then Amelia and Rowan are attacked at her house and they have to run away. She calls Hayden, but he tells her to stay safe, but don't call him, since they are still working on finding the leak. They go on the run, and she does her best to keep him safe, they manage to blend with a tourist group, but then they get into an accident and she has to run away again. Rowan gets hurt and Amelia manages to get him to a safe place and get some first aid to help him, but then she gets sick since she was also hurt and has internal bleeding. Once Rowan gets better, he notices that Amelia is sick, and manages to take her to a friend of his that manages to help her, but she needs time to recover, so they go to Weverly's house in Florida Keys, and there he nurses her back to health, until she feels good enough to call Hayden.

People at Dragon have been working on Rowan's case, and they found out that he knew the woman that was murdered and that he lied to them, and also a lot of incriminating information about him. They are afraid for Amelia and tell her to stay there and that they are going to send a team to get her back and take him to the police. Amelia feels like he is not capable of what they are accusing him of, so she gives him a chance to explain. He says that he was involved with the dead girl, but only because they were working together to stop his company from selling some weapons that could end up with a lot of people hurt. She believes him, so they go on the run again. They start working on finding evidence, and set a trap for the bad guys. They get caught by them, and get confirmation on who is behind the set up, and then manage to escape. Meanwhile the guys from Dragon already found the information they need to arrest Rowan's boss and clear his name, and they go for them. Since Rowan knows about Amelia's crush on Hayden he thinks she is going to forget about him and go back to pinning after Hayden, but she tells him that she is over Hayden and wants to try a relationship with him.


Hayden

It was a little frustrating to see how he was making all the same mistakes that he did before and promised not to repeat, and also he kept secrets from others, a thing he was constantly fighting others for doing. Basically, he went against everything he was supposed to believe. I liked how the managed the mystery of the person going after him, granted, once they gave all the clues it was really easy to guess who was the killer, but only after you already suspected everyone. It gave a good closure to the volume, bringing everyone together for a common cause, helping a friend.

Waverly and Hayden had been investigating about the murders and how they relate to Hayden. They know someone is after him, but don't know who. He is keeping everyone in the dark, since he wants to keep them safe by keeping them in the dark (the same stupid thinking that made him fight with Luke in the second book). When Amelia is assaulted, almost raped, when the guys after him tried to re-enact his parent's murder again, he finally decides to talk to Megan and the others. Waverly keeps investigating and realizes that she is the daughter of the man that killed his parents, since their family moved away and changed their names, she hadn't realized it, but then, by investigating, she realized the man who killed Hayden's parents, and then got out of jail just to kill his lover, is her father, and she tells that to Hayden, and he gets angry and storms out of her house.

When Wavery is also attacked, Megan and Hayden go to her house, but even if Hayden realizes he cares about her, he doesn't want to get near her, and keeps his distance, thinking that he can't care about her and risk getting hurt again (even if he has constantly repeated how he shouldn't have let his fears keep him away from Sam for so long, and how he should have been with her since he realized he cared for her, he just keeps making the same mistake). They both go away to hide, trying to keep safe, while the others help with the investigation. Hayden is starting to suspect she is involved, and she is hurt that he is only using her for sex, but since she is in love with him, she decides to keep sleeping with him, since she thinks once the murders are resolved, she won't see him again. Hayden stops suspecting her, and starts suspecting her sister, and they set a meeting in a public place with Megan to tell her about her suspicions, but Megan, with some things that Wavery tells her, and some of her own investigation starts suspecting someone else.

Once Megan is gone, they realize that someone is following them, so they go to a hotel to hide, the same hotel where Hayden and Sam first slept together. They get a different room, since Hayden doesn't want to mix memories, but then they fall asleep and Wavery decides to go to to the business center to use a computer, and the bad guys catch her, taking her to the same room where Sam and Hayden had stayed in their first time. It turns out that Sam's crazy mother went even crazier and blames Hayden for her death and Wavery for being the daughter of the devil, and wanted revenge on them. Hayden wakes up when Amelia and Rhett arrive to protect them, and finds Wavery gone, they start looking for her and then they tell him they suspect Sam's mother is behind the murders, so he knows where they took Wavery and goes to the room, he arrives just when they are getting ready to kill Wavery, and saves her, but she is hurt and Hayden gets scared because he doesn't think he can survive another death.

While they save Wavery and the others do all the job, Hayden disappears, but then Wavery goes back to work and he arrives and proposes to her, he says he was a coward (he was dumb, I have no idea how Wavery could still want him), he says he will change and that he will make it up to her for leaving her when she needed him the most, and she accepts, just like that.

Editor - PLEASE

Formatting and a good proof reader are requirements of professionals. I loved the stories and characters. Good execution. But I was distracted by the fact that the author didn't care enough to look at her final product, just one last time to be sure it met her standards.

Peter had faked his death from the help of Luke who he had grown up with and was his sister’s fiancé. He did it to protect his family as he found some dirty CIA agents making money off his company’s software. He was kept captive by the man who was suppose to be helping, but was actually the bad guy. Peter is back home now working for his sister, but is not the same man. His family worries about him and drives him crazy. He is sent on an undercover assignment where he meets Heather. They both are attracted to each other and begin to spend time together outside work.

I was so happy to see Peter find a woman that he was attracted to and she was attracted to him. They had some problems because of Peter’s secrets. There was some exciting scenes, but not as much as in her previous books. I still liked the book and Peter’s story.

Rhett
Richard Chandler/Xander King was in a car accident, almost died, and has amnesia. He goes to Dragon Security and hires them to help him find out about himself and protect him from the man that has been following him. Rhett Dennings is assigned to help him. Their adventure is exciting, dangerous, and romantic. He is associated with everything that went down five years ago with the rogue CIA gang that affected Meagan and her family. I loved the book and was trying to figure out if Xander was a good guy or bad guy. I loved the book.

Kevin
Kevin McKinsey worked for Dragon Security. He received a call from Kirsten Kramer is high school sweetheart. They broke up in high school and it was not pretty. Then he went to the marines and hadn’t heard from her for over seven years. She is asking him to help her stop her younger sister Dallas from marrying a man she has only known for a few weeks. Kevin goes home to help her and finds out that Dallas and her fiancé flew to Miami to elope. Kirsten talked Kevin into flying there to try and stop the wedding

The two of them flew down there and all kinds of things happened. There was a happy reunion, a death, Kirsten framed for murder, running and hiding so they could clear Kirsten, Dragon Security helping, and an old flame reignited. It was another good story that I loved.

Kasey
Kasey Thomasson worked for Dragon Security and was sent to California to find Rosalie Matthias who was missing. She was bipolar and was involved with a group that thought aliens lived with us and Rosalie said she could talk to them. When Kasey went to California, he met Karma Myers/Erin Myers-King who was friends with Rosalie. Some how wanted ended up happening to Rosalie was connected to Hayden who now ran Dragon Security. Kasey got close to Karma who had her own story and had been hiding with the alien investigators for five years. This was another exciting story. More killings are taking place that has something to do with Hayden’s past. At first I thought it was going to be weird because of the aliens, but I very much enjoyed the story. I loved Kasey’s family and how he took care of them even though they were always bugging him. This is another good book in this series.

Amelia
Rowan comes to Dragon Security all bloody asking for help. Hayden assigns Amelia as his bodyguard. Because of the security breech in the past he has her take him to her condo. Once Rowan and Hayden are alone, some uses an automatic machine gun to shoot up her condo. This puts Amelia and Rowen on the run.

This was another exciting and thrilling book. They have no idea who is after them. Rowan is from Ireland and has a brogue. Who wouldn’t fall for a guy with a beautiful accent! I was glad that Amelia used her head and gave Rowan a chance. I didn’t like that he had initially lied, but was glad to see he came clean. I enjoyed the book and encourage you to read it.

Hayden
Finally we get Hayden’s story. This is just as suspenseful and on the edge of your seat story as the others, if not more so. Even though Waverly was fired from the agency, Hayden can’t stay away from her and is helping him try to figure out who is trying to get to him copying his parents death. This book is so exciting and had me trying to figure out who was behind the computer viruses, the rapes, and the people chasing him and Waverly. I have always loved Waverly’s personality and how she gave herself to Hayden. I felt bad for all the heartache Hayden has gone through. I can say I was finally glad to see his ending. These books are all so good and I strongly encourage you to read this set.

Love all of the Dragon team members, I think I fell a little in love with each of them. Cried, laughed, didn't sleep until I've finished both volumes. The truth is my favorites where Hayden and Megan stories, they are so connected that I want them to end up together, who knows maybe!

I'm hooked on Glenna Sinclair's books, the perspective of both men and women its interesting how we see each other from the inside and out.

Would love to see other stories from Dragon operatives someday!

Thrilling and romantic

Each character is fully developed with interesting back stories. The plots are well formed and lead the reader through exciting twists and unexpected turns. The romance is well written and very real life experience. I love the team dynamics of Dragon and hope there are more stories to come!

Suspense and romance, not much better

Holy cow, this set of books is amazing. Suspense, murder, sexy military men, strong women, everything needed to make a great story. I love how each book kept us up on the previous people's lives. Those are my favorite kinds of stories. This series is great. You laugh, cry, and fall in love over and over again. You won't be disappointed.

Could,nt stop reading this second collection all the individual operatives finding their soulmates with such good storylines, the only reason I didn't,t give five stars is the repetition at the start of each story I did start to skip first few pages of each one.

Great author

Glenna Sinclair writes stories that are riveting and very hard to put down. Engaging characters and fast paced story lines. Her security series will appeal to many types of readers. Suspense,drama and romance. The formula is perfect not to much of either, just a perfect blend. Try one. You will be hooked!

While I like this series, I got so frustrated with the lack of proof reading. If you are going to write a book and have people spend $$ (regardless of the price), take pride in your work. Grammar, typos, character names being consistent are ALL not only important, required. Maybe it's just me.

This was the last book I buy from Glenna.

Part II was just as good

I liked how all the stories tied in but especially that Hayden found his HEA. I read volume I and was a little concerned Volume II couldn't stack up but I am glad to say that I was wrong !

Entertaining

These stories are always entertaining to read, and I love how they all the together. However, I was a bit disappointed to be able to guess the "villain \bad guy" early in each story. But still very entertaining

I loved this series, I just am in awe of this author. She keeps you engaged throughout the book. I was so enthralled most nights, that I was up until 2 in the morning reading. I can’t wait to start another series. I want to see was in store for me next.

It is still absolutely awful that the author thought that it was okay to tease a romance for 5 books and then kill the woman and then create another series and pair him with someone else. It is literally the opposite of what she should have done.

Wow! That was some crazy shit. There’s a whole big mystery traveling through all those stories, who would have thought it would turn out like that?? Loved all the stories about how all the operatives found their one true loves. But the story about the aliens was just weird lol

This volume picked up where the other left off. The characters were believable and I didn't know for sure who the bad guy was u til the very end.

Dragon Security Volume 2

I didn't find this story line as exciting as the first Dragon Security, but once it got going, I found it nearly as good. Coming from a military background, I really appreciate the characters and their dynamics. I would recommend this volume.
