This is a very short (36 pages) steamy m/m encounter. The length doesn't allow it to have much of a storyline, but it was steamy for sure. It's the first in a series, I'm assuming each installment is about these two characters, but I don't know.

This is a short erotic story about two men hitting the gym for training, and then more than that happens. Johnny is new in town. He came to visit his friend Jared. Right at his friend’s, he meets the big, muscular Trent. The two will go to the gym for a workout.
It is a chest day workout, so they do some weight lifting. When they move to the incline bench, things start to happen between them, but soon, they are interrupted by someone, so they stop what they are about to do. After that, the two go to the tanning booth, and inside, they play together until the climax.
This is the first book in the Swole series, which I think has six books. I chose to read it because it has many positive reviews. Unfortunately, this didn’t meet my expectations. It’s an OK story, but I feel that, as an erotica reader, it is lacking.
The first thing is that the chemistry between the two main characters is too weak. I didn’t feel the attraction between them. This was narrated in a third-person style, so it was a good opportunity for a build-up there.
The story is 80% teasing between the characters, and the last 10% is the real action. For a short story that is named “Chest Day” I thought the sex scene was going to take place at the gym while training, yet it awkwardly took place in the tanning booth! Why this missed opportunity?
The last thing I want to criticize here is that the characters, both of them in the first half, were different from those in the second half. They felt out of character, if you know what I mean. As I said, the story is OK, but reading the next chapter will not be a priority for me because I really need to enjoy the first book before moving on to the next.

I'm not a big m/m reader but I've been stepping out of my comfort zone and I ended up really enjoying this story. Even though it's a short story you can feel the chemistry with Trent and Jonny. I loved their banter. Trent was your typical cocky male but Jonny was able to hold his own! I enjoyed the fact that both guys were opposites. Trent was all strong, intimidating and confident. Jonny was weak and unsure of himself. The story line kept my interest and I'm excited to see what's next for Trent and Jonny. The story is also based around the gym and now I want to renew my membership and find someone to get swollen with. ;)

Great read if....you like hot novellas, quick reads, m/m and HFN.
Side note: I'll be honest. It felt like a slow start for me. I was expecting that given the size it would be immediate sizzle but there was some build up. I respect it knowing that this is the first series. With that said, the ending made the wait worth it. It was just enough hot for the situation and the location of the chosen naughty naughty was unique. I dig it. Look frwd to the next installment.

First things first Author Golden Czermak did it again with this short story. Golden is a natural and gifted story teller. I can not wait for the next installment of this erotic short story!!!! As soon as I finished I literally wanted to beg for more.
The main characters Trent Cassidy and Jonny Cameron are as opposite as any two men can be let's just say it's an Explosive combination. This story is full of sexually tension and some extremely hot scenes that take place in a gym. I have a whole new appreciation for tanning booths.
This is a must read and I promise you won't be sorry!! I give this story five sizzling stars.

I just loved the writing. The professional athlete fitness setting was oh so very hot with lots of possibilities. But for me, the MCs flipped flopped and didn't stay true through the story. Trent started out being in control of himself and the situation, but ended up being a pushover. Jonny started out cautious and hesitant, but ended up topping from the bottom. From the way the story began, I expected more mind fuckery from Trent. The sex scene at the end was anticlimactic after the buildup because it came across as nothing more than a fast quickie. Here again, I wanted Trent to work Jonny over more, mentally plus physically. The ending was Happy In the Moment. Also, I wasn't too thrilled about not using a condom.

I can honestly say I'll never look at the gym the same again. Swole - Chest Day is a super quick sexy read.
This is the first time I've read this author and he did not disappoint. I didn't know what to expect but I wasn't expecting a storyline. I've read quick novellas where's it's been a quick erotic scene and it's over. I was pleased that Swole had a little more "meat" to it.
I'm excited to see where Mr. Czermak takes this series!

I don't even know what to say about this...
Look, I knew going in that this was going to be a quick, easy read, nothing life altering- the "warning" in the blurb kind of says it all. But I was hoping to at least be entertained, even just a little. And I wasn't. The writing is stilted, the conversations between the 2 characters was uncomfortable, and the steamy scenes were awkward to say the least, and left me cold. Even at less than 40 pages I thought of giving up. Overall really just disappointed.

Trent is a gym trainer and hangs out at the gym more than his own home. Jonny is visiting a friend who is a roommate of Trents. When they meet the kitchen heats up and its not food cooking up either. Read the introduction to the "Swole series and meet Trent and Jonny two very insatiable men.

OMFG! Did anyone say hot?
This one is a short story, with great banter and highly erotic. I have to admit I was reluctant to read because I'm not a fan of M/M literature, but I enjoyed it the ride from beginning to end.
Trent is a sexy gym rat and, when he meets Jonny, he finds himself attracted to the younger, seemingly innocent man. He offers to help with training and they'll have a chest session for the ages.
I have to admit this story left me wanting more and I can't wait to see what these two will be training next.

I get this was a short story. So I didn't expect a whole lot. However, this fell short.
A gross over-exaggeration about things. The same things explained multiple times. Actions didn't always come across clearly. Two strangers...no knowledge of each. And no talk of protection? No protection used? He told a story, didn't show it. As an audio, it would have worked better.
I feel bad because I like the author. He's a freaking awesome person.

I reviewed my personal copy of this book for Wicked Reads.
I’m gonna try to keep my review like the book, short and dirty. Okay, not so much dirty, but I’m shooting for the short part of it. I snagged a copy of Swole: Chest Day this morning simply so I could include a review with our blog post, and as I’m not the least bit opposed to some hot man-on-man action, it wasn’t a hardship. I’ve not read any of Czermak’s previous releases, but I took the author at his word in the warning. As long as you do, you won’t be disappointed because Czermak certainly delivers on all of the warning’s promises… and then some. To be honest, there was more of a storyline than I expected from a novelette promising male-male erotic escapism. Don’t get me wrong, at less than 40 pages it’s not a massively developed storyline – unlike Trent’s chest and c… umm, well you know. Okay, I got a tiny bit dirty there. But I digress, the sexual tension is present almost from the get go and only ramps up as Trent takes Jonny through a chest-targeted workout, complete with just the right amount of accidental and blatant touches, caresses, and body presses. The sex scenes are hot and I will never look at a tanning booth the same way again. Actually, I will never be able to watch a gym scene in a movie the same way again – and that’s not a bad thing. So if you’re looking for a quick and dirty read designed to get you all hot and bothered, look no further as that’s exactly what this little novelette delivers.

Trent, massive bodybuilder and asshole, is sleeping at 3am when he's woken up by someone in his kitchen. Aggressively, he charges out to confront the interloper, only to find Jonny getting a glass of water. Starting the younger lad, he's amused by the smaller dude. After a weirdly flirtatious confrontation, Trent takes Jonny with him to his gym, where they proceed to work out, flirt, and get a little sexy time.
Not sure how I feel about this, some of it was erotic but there were some unncessary filler details. Also didn't really buy Trent as a rounded character, he came across as a walking cliche. "I don't do romance and I don't kiss" he warns Jonny before he lays a heavy ziplock on the college student.
Right in the middle: 3 stars.

Swole: Chest Day is the first book in a new m/m series by Golden Czermak. It’s completely different from his other series but just as enjoyable.
It’s the story of Trent and Jonny, 2 guys who are quite opposite from each other. While Trent is cocky and self-assured, Jonny is more timid and quiet. Trent takes Jonny under his wing to show him some things at the gym and let’s just say- that he does in more ways than one. I don’t know if I will ever look at a gym or a tanning booth the same way again. The two of them have amazing chemistry and banter which leads to a story that is fast paced, fun, quick, and hot as hell. Go one click!

I was hoping I'd like this series, mostly because it's written by a gay man, but this will be the only one I read. The writing needs work, and the characters shift all over the place. For a short- short story it bounces all over the place.
Trent starts strong but his dominance wanes as soon as the sex is imminent. Jonny starts off meek and mild and winds up topping the sex. And the head hopping was enough to make a person dizzy.
I did enjoy the feel of the dialog, it felt very male as it should have since it was written by a man. A lot of m/m story dialog sounds male but this one felt male.

This little series of shorts here is something that will blow the socks off your feet. My suggestion is to click them all. You're going to need to be undisturbed for the duration. I suggest ear plugs or a deadbolt lock. All available on this site, shipped straight to your house. Sadly, the men in these books don't, because only fictional men, created by the Golden God of all that is hot gym writes are going to tear up a workout like this. Great series. Joking aside, get this, read it and enjoy because it's some greatness.

This is a super quick read. It took me about 30 minutes to read. Trent Cassidy and Jonny Cameron are so different. This short story is full of sexual tension, and many hot scenes that take place is a gym. Trent owns Swole the gym and is trainer. Trent is polar opposite and has never been pushed to the limit in the gym. Trent is a bit of an asshole, I loved him. I will never think of a tanning bed the same again.

Swole: Chest Day is the First in the Series of a Panty Melting, Super Hot M/M Action story! I read one thru four in one sitting and cannot wait for the last one. Jonny comes to town to stay with his friend for the week, Jared. When Jonny makes too much noise in the kitchen, Jared roommate Trent comes in and likes what he sees. A short story about a couple of guys that seem to connect over weights and getting fit. This is my first read by this author and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I will have to check out the rest of this series as well as any other offerings GC may have. A quick read that is both hot and sexy and leaves you wanting more!

Perfect short story, Travis was incredibly sexy and being captivated by someone like him, I can see why Jonny fell for him so quickly. Sexy, excitement and overall lust for an environment that shows off alot of manly testosterone. Loved it.

OK 4* read.
This is the first book that I have read by Golden, and I will happily read more. This is a very quick, M/M story, that takes you straight to the point. Trent and Johnny have this instant attraction, and Swole gym gets more than it bargained for.
