***This is the FULL First Season - Episodes 1 through 10***
Two alien races vie for control of Earth amidst a human population decimated by a merciless plague, famine, and war.
Meanwhile, the denizens of Hell grow restless. The apocalypse they were supposed to instigate and revel in is happening without them...
Doing their best to create new lives in the aftermath of the chaos triggered by the aliens' arrival, Abraham Black and Neri White come from backgrounds about as different as their last names would indicate. Yet, together, they may hold the key which allows humanity to remain the primary tenants of Earth. The question is: how much are they willing to give up to save the world? Their memories? Their lives? Their souls?
Another great adventure by Alan Tucker. Unlike his other books, this one is rated more R than his usual PG-13/PG. It is about a man in his 40s who made a literal "deal with the devil" yet he is now the only hope in a world of chaos. The only thing helping him is a women with magic, and a devil he now is stuck with for life. It's hard to picture the main character as a 40 year old, after getting used to Alan's other book series. It still is a great book, but aimed at older teens. I was sent this book via email after subscribing to Mr. Tucker's website. But it might have been a special deal. Just FYI, I am only 14 and this is my first review since this probably won't help.
I was lucky enough to be given this set for an honest review ... it's superb!
There are two main characters, Neri and Abraham, each with talents that will be vital in the range of problems that descend upon the human race.
There are aliens and supernatual beings and a host of interesting and intriguing characters; all ingredients for a fabulous plot to make a compelling read.
This story, written in episodes, is different from this author's other work, yet still brilliantly done. Very well-written with engaging characters and sense of place.
Although I said there are two main characters, there really is three and he is my favourite - extremely funny and likeable despite...no spoilers from me. Other characters are developing and will make for interesting reading with the future plot, however, PD is the best!
I highly recommend the series; you will be hooked and want more, as I do.
