We play MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft every day, but what if other species play .. us?

A psychotic serial killer rampages in the urban bustle of a near future eastern european capital. He kidnaps a software geek and aikidoka Anna as a hostage on his rampage and along the way tells her the truth - Earth has been invaded and controlled by aliens since forever. Multidimensional aliens enjoy folding their minds into primitive three dimensional forms of earthlings and grinding out daily chores of our lives as a kind of a mediation. Anna tries to find and expose the truth of the alien presence on Earth and find someone she can trust to come along with her.

I won this book in a goodreads drawing.

Sci-fi with a premise that mashes up Lovecraft, The Matrix, and Free Guy. Has a happier ending than it perhaps should.

I won this book in a giveaway on Goodreads.

I tried to look past all the ways that it badly needed an editor, but near constant errors made that difficult. That said, the story itself was decent. The main character was a bit too awesome to be believable, and the romance happened way too fast to feel realistic. But the premise was interesting,a nd the plot was fairly engaging.

Good

This book was a kind of slow starter for me. Anyway but after awhile it picked up and got better.
