U.S. Special Forces operative Bwana Kayembe has been to all the hotspots in the world and has battled with all kinds of badasses. Ilya Gorshkin is a different proposition, however. The Russian criminal knows all about Bwana, and has arranged a special welcome for him in the Siberian taiga. USA Today Bestselling Author Ty Patterson is back with an explosive, high-octane novella. 'Up there with Mitch Rapp, Pike Logan, and Jack Reacher' Bwana hadn't heard of Ilya Gorshkin when he rescued the two women from a gang in Paris. It was only later, when they trusted him, that they told him of the master criminal. European law enforcement authorities had tried to find and arrest Gorshkin, but had never succeeded. Gorshkin was not only several steps ahead, he was ruthless in taking out search teams. Gorshkin wasn't Bwana's problem. The U.S. Special Forces operative was vacationing in Paris and his mind should have been on fine food, wine, and the sights. However, Bwana can't forget the terror in the women's eyes and decides to go after Gorshkin. All by himself. After all, he, Bwana Kayembe is one of the most lethal men alive and has always come out on top in battles. The problem is Ilya Gorshkin doesn't do battle. He does war. He knows Bwana is hunting him, and he is ready.

Bwana Kayembe is a secret agent. He works for the CIA, or NSA or somebody. Nobody knows...or cares. What’s important is he gets the job done.
While vacationing in France, he stumbles upon some traffickers who are kidnapping teenagers for prostitution, and makes it his business to put a stop to it.
His mission takes him all the way to a small village in The Congo. It also happens to be his place of birth. Will it now become his place of death?
Ty takes us with Bwana on another world adventure that we as fans enjoy thoroughly ! Yep, Zeb and Meghan play a part but this this one is all Bwana and worth the read. If you're not a Ty Patterson fan, you should be !
Another excellent story that lets us know more about the background of the team in the author's Warrior books. Bwana is the main character in here, and when hearing of men who kidnap young women or girls and force them into prostitution,he takes it upon himself to end the problems. A great , fast paced story which although short, has all the excitement and plots of our favorite thrillers. Pick up this book to learn about Ty Patterson's writing, you will be glad you did.
Another short read I squeezed in between appointments 63 pages is definitely not taxing. Each book has snippets into one of Zeb’s team member. This time in a jam packed action adventure is Bwana.
Young girls are disappearing and most are never found again. After rescuing two girls in Paris from a gang, Gwana sets to find those behind the trafficking ring. His quest will bring him to Russia and his tracking will lead him to a familiar place in the Congo.
Great storyline, filled with action and suspense. The plot although too short is strong with vivid scenes. We know a little more about Gwana, this huge and very capable ex-special forces agent.
I am not a fan of short stories but I definitely make exemption regarding Mr. Patterson.
How is it possible to pack so much into so few words? Ty Patterson is a master. Team member Bwana stars in this ( I just can't call it a novella—it is too jam packed) short read. There are some things that honorable men cannot abide. The trafficking of young girls is one of them. After accidently rescuing two young women, Bwana learns of the man responsible and the impossible task it has been for too many policing agencies to find him. Bwana intends to change that. While on this personally designated mission, he learns of another man in the Congo starting his own trafficking plans. His place of birth will not become the supplier of innocents.
The action is exciting, I now know where the term one-man-army comes from. You won't be able to stop until it's finished. The good thing is that it is short. The short length leaves out nothing. Great read as I've come to expect from Mr. Patterson. A strong recommend from me. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
It is a pleasure to sit down with a book written by Ty Patterson. This short story featuring Bawana is no exception. While vacationing in Paris Bawana and Roger rescue a couple of young girls from a gang. Not being satisfied with that Bawana needs to find who is trafficking in these young girls. From Paris to the Congo action packs these pages. When Bawana is tracking you be prepared... he can do a lot of damage in this short story.
Bwana's story starts with him on vacation and learning of a Russian criminal who traffics women and children. But will Bwana be able to find him in Siberia? And what leads to Bwana ending up in Africa helping some people from the city where he was born? While this is a "short" story, there is a lot of action packed into it. Loved it!

What did I like? This is the first of the shorts that has featured Bwana and gave us some more background on him. As everyone knows that has read my reviews, I love this series and of course my favorite character is Zeb. The whole series is about this team of the most dedicated people that believe in the right thing being done to everyone and they never walk away from trying to get it done. They also believe in America and have dedicated their lives to supporting it. Bwana is this great big guy that has the heart of gold that along with the rest of the team believe that women and children should never be harmed. The minute he heard those two girls story, you just know what he will do. I love the patience and the dedication that each of the team apply to their work and I also love the support that they have for each other.
What are you going to like? After falling in love with the series that will capture you from page one of any one of the books that you pick up, you’re going to like the action, the methodical way that each team member works, the incredible tools that they have available to work with. The support system that they have set up to work any problem or job that they get involved with and finally the storylines. Every one of the shorts or full lengths are so incredibly researched with detailed descriptions so that you never have any confusion as to what is going on and how they are going to do it. Every member is trained to the max and have this zin to them that makes them just plain awesome. As you can tell I really do enjoy this series and I think you will too! I am a member of the Advanced Readers and the above is my opinion of this book with no compensation being paid.

I am really enjoying this series of short stories which gives some background to the team from 'The Agency'. In this story Bwana, a huge and very capable ex special forces agent, goes up against a people smuggling gang after he rescues two girls in Paris, The story comes to a climax in Siberia where Bwana goes head to head with a very unpleasant Russian criminal Ilya Gorshkin. The action is electrifying, the pace unrelenting and the plot very clever, making this a great addition to the series, I can't wait to read the next one!
Bwana, returns to Africa, Luvungi, the small village where he was born. Young girls have been kidnapped,a destination not of there choosing. Not on Bwanas watch.! He will rescue them, even if he dies trying. This is an exceptional read, bursting with action. I highly recommend.
