Tina Folsom is a New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author. This re-read has reminded me why I love Tina Folsom so much.

Ellen is an educated spitfire who is now living out west with her dad.



Out of no where she starts receiving marriage proposals from all eligible bachelors. She even receives a proposal from a man she has never met by way of his ranch hand. Somethings not right with the situation and she is determined to get to the bottom of it.



I loved James and could only wish he were the cowboy seeking my attention.This love story is short and sweet and packed with emotions. I would have to classify this short story as Romantica. The sexual tension was hot and so well writen. I enjoyed the plot and loved the characters. The love scenes were hot but not over the top.

Tina's writing style flows well and even though this was a western, I look forward to trying out some of her paranormal romances. My only complaint would be that I wanted more because the story was so enjoyable.

This storytakes place in 1800's Texas where this real feisty girl Ellen keeps getting offers for marriage. She keeps declining because she wants real love. Her father is trying to marry her off so he sends out a message for eligible bachelors to offer marriage to his daughter and he will pay them $1000. Then there's this cowboy who makes an offer to her father on the behalf of Mr. Riley and he's supposed to bring Ellen to his ranch to marry her. But the sexy cowboy is Mr.Riley and he's is smitten by Ellen and works with her father in attemps to "tame"her! This was a great novella from Tina Folsom. I haven't found a story yet that I didn't like by her...if there is such a thing. I've only read her paranormal stories and I was a little worried about reading it. I don't know why...I should have known better! Anywhoo....I highly recommend this to those of you out there who like a lotta steam in ur romances....I know I do!! Ciao:)

Ellen refuses to just choose anyone to marry despite her father’s efforts which she knows nothing of. Along comes James Riley asking for her hand in marriage albeit for his boos which in actuality is him. He makes a contract with her father in which she will become his once he gets her to his ranch. She decides to beat her father at his own game by telling some gambler that she will marry him. As she tries to sneak off in the night she is caught by James and they start their trek to his ranch that night. Things happen along the way which make this a titillating story to say the least.

Cute quick novella that takes place in the Old West.
Ellen is a feisty headstrong young woman who doesn’t want to be married.
James is the handsome rancher who sees her at a dance and decides she will be his wife.
Quick romance, lots of banter. A few steamy scenes.

This was just as advertised...an erotic western short stories. I enjoyed the characters and thought the sex scenes were pretty hot. I wish the author would have followed up a little more with some of the spanking promises but I guess it's hard to fit everything into a short story. I wished it would have been longer.

This was a fun read, Ellen was fun and feisty and James was fun but a bit stupid for his ruse....but then there would not be a story if not for the ruse...would have been nice if it just a bit longer or even better a follow up story.

Old west setting. Ellen refuses to marry a man just to be his servant and baby machine but her father has other plans. James likes Ellen at first sight so.when he hears of her father's plan he intends to be the one to tame her.
