Wow, it's been a long time since a PNR series grabbed my attention like this one has!! Nichola Claire has created a fantastic fantasy world here, full of Nosferatu (vampires), Nosferatin (magical humans/vampire hunters) and Taniwha (shape shifters). Set mainly in New Zealand, the author has used some native/local language in the story, but you soon get used to their meanings (glossary included also). The story revolves around Lucinda Monk, bank teller by day and vampire hunter at night, but this is all new to her and is still learning the ropes so to speak. But she has met the Master of the City a few times, Michel an ancient vampire who runs the city, and finds him unbelievably alluring and attractive, he is the Dark to her Light! Brilliantly told, full of twists and turns, secrets, prophecies and vampire hawtness (some seriously sexy hot scenes in here) make this an unmissable read!! I can't wait to read more

Wow what a fantastic 3 book vampire romance story
What is not to like in the series? The character development of Lucinda alone in the first book Kindred is detailed in background building, snarky in catchy comebacks phrases indigenous to New Zealand and Luce is vulnerable and strong. The secrets her vampire “Master” boyfriend hold are catastrophic and could make or break her. I was thoroughly hooked by Michel’s point of view after each novel. Book two and three Blood Life Seeker and Forbidden Drink made me lose sleep; I couldn’t put them down. Nero and Gregor’s introductions and her growing friendships with other vampires sent the heat in the feelings arena off the chain. Looking for answers and doing a job you didn’t train for makes for an intriguing story. On to book 4, this series is as good as many of my favorite authors with a new twist on shifters too.

Can’t take the grammar
I’m in the middle of the 3rd book because I liked the storyline but two things ruin this series for me. This absolutely has the worst grammar I’ve ever come across in a book. Run on sentences, incorrect punctuation, incomplete sentences, every single page is filled with terribly distracting mistakes. And I’ve had it with Lucinda. She gave me whiplash from all her emotional back and forth crap with Michel. He needs to dump her and move on. And I’m taking my own advice.

Fantastic series!
I got the ree first book,then I liked it so much I bought the First Three books, now ai just bought four through eight book bundle. When I finish these, of course I’ll buy the rest. I’m hooked. This is a great, well written series. It reminds me of Sherylyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series and Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake series. Excellent writing with stories that allow you to imagine and feel what is happening in the story. Lots of action and, boy, does this hunter get into some situations!

Loved the action and rollercoaster romance
I really enjoyed the different elements and plots going on. The relationships and insecurity of Lucinda was aggravating. I couldn't understand why she questioned everything Michel did when it was obvious how much he loved her. Then she starts the infatuation with Nero and another relationship with Gregor. But still questions Michel when he accepts all she does.

I liked these three books conceptually but struggled 30% of the time with the execution. The writing style needs polishing. For the first book, I kept feeling like maybe another story should have been written first detailing her teen years, later move to Auckland, & meeting/ working with Michel. The intimate scenes are awesome in book 2 as well as the action and obstacle after obstacle the duo face. Book 3 was good as well, but there is less action, which was disappointing.

It still keeps my interest and in some place reads better than the 1st time around. Great books do that for me. The tone and pace as well as the snarky humor never get old! I love personable characters and this whole series of chock full of them. I just also mention this is creative writing at it's best. Nicola Clair e defiantly is someone I'd like to have a few drinks with. I bet she is hoot!

If you like.twilight this is a good read
This is the first three books of the series. there is a love triangle, shifters. Good and evil and somewhere in between . a.vampire Hunter who has a lot to learn but finds it hard to cope with being a prophecy and wanting some normal life. love at the end of each book there is chapter in Michel love on things . good rad

Very hard to put down!
Poor Lucinda! Her trials and tribulations are never ending. Luckily she has the love of her vampire Michel to keep her going. Sincerely enjoyed reading these 3 books by Nicola Claire. Can't wait to get into the next book of this series.

Delectable!
I am not one for as much sex as was in these 3 books but I feel like at least some of it was necessary to the plot line. To be honest I totally skipped at least half of the sex scenes because there were so many of them. But the plot is really good

Wow
I was totally hooked by the middle of the first book. Now I have to finish the series. I have to know what happens next and then the next and the next til it is finished. Hopefully my family is still there when I am done.

Loved
As a set as a whole I loved it. Loved the world created. But it was a bit overwritten. I scanned a lot to get to the underlying story. BUT.... I thought this was a completed set. Come to find out, it’s not :(

Captivating
I read this book and it played out like a movie. Well thought out entertaining I definitely give this book four stars but kept the other because the author kept me wondering what was next after the end.

Absolutely love this series
I couldn't put this book down.. It had me at the edge of my seat holding my breath to laughing at the snarky comments to crying my eyes out feeling heart broken.. I can't wait to read the rest of the series to find out what awaits Michel and Lucinda.
