Absolutely amazing!!!!! Grimm was injured in a fire and lost his best friend. Now it is two years later and now he is an investigator and is partnered with Max, a K-9 arson sniffing dog.
Stephanie is Ryan's cousin. She remembers meeting Grimm but at first he didn't recognize her. She has performed surgery on Max after he was injured.
They need to figure out who the arsonist is who is now also a murderer.

This is the first book I've read in this Kindle World and what a great story! It starts out with Grimes making a rescue in a burning building with his friend Ryan. Unfortunately, the building collapses and Ryan is killed and Grimes is changed. Fast forward and Grimes is now an arson investigator and finds out he has a partner Max, an arson dog. When he meets Max he also meets Stephanie and definitely wants to get to know her better. The arsonist he's tracking is on the loose and hopefully Grimes can catch him before someone else is hurt.
Once again this author gives her readers characters you love! This story is filled with so much you don't feel like you're missing anything with it being a short story though I do want to know what happens next for them all.
