Being protective isn’t something Cord does, it’s who Cord is. That’s his greatest quality, and his most devastating flaw.
An inquisitive hottie.
Lucy can’t resist a good story. So she asks her editor if she could look into the shifters, maybe do a story or a series.
Against hired assassins, against territorial clan leaders, against all odds… Lucy won’t be kept from her bear. Her bear shifter Cord won’t be denied his mate. Can a war between rival clans keep them apart?
I love the series. I love the stories, plots, and fast paced action. I DON'T love the way all the heroines cry so very much, and await rescue from their men. These women have cried an ocean of tears, and shaken enough to make James Bond's martini. I would like to see a stronger female lead who isn't afraid to kick ass.
This was written very well. The characters are good as well as the plot. I myself really don't care for Vampires. That is just me as I know that many love stories with them in it, good or bad. It is an enjoyable story
This is the third book I've read and I wasn't disappointed. The plot flows smoothly from one book to the next and the pages just keep on turning. Cord is a fantastic, sexy giant of a shifter. Need to read this one.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cord is a standout with its emotionally grounded bear shifter and his mate, a determined journalist. Lucy’s curiosity leads her straight into danger—and right into Cord’s arms. Their connection feels deep from the start, built on mutual respect and emotional honesty. Cord is the perfect blend of gruff and tender, and the rival-clan storyline adds great tension. The romance is slow-burn and soulful, with real stakes that make their commitment all the more powerful. A cozy favorite with bite.
