Del remembers Draka, the phantom dragon from her childhood who seemed to be the only constant in her earlier years. Yet so much of her memory has been taken from her but when Del starts to feel Draka is in trouble there's no choice but to try to find her . Trouble is that even with the help of her ( possible boyfriend ?) Roarke it's turning out to be a wild goose chase that starts to feel like a trap!
Well this book had an entirely different feel to it with an awful lot less globe trotting for our plucky heroine. It might start in the jungle with Del and Nix hunting for treasure but pretty soon it's all about Del and her mysterious past. In fact the bulk of this story takes place in Wales which allows the author to utilise mythology involving the Fae and their Wild Hunt but with so much demonic activity in play Del and her Deirfiur are not going to have an easy time ahead!
I love the mixture of paranormal adventure , action , history and of course a little slice of romance that pulls these books together. Del has become a much richer character in my mind with her slightly superstitious mannerisms and her faith in lucky charms and yet it's her unflinching bravery that is what makes her truly shine. There are pretty unpleasant realisations in this book but Del rises up and gladly embraces all the good that is in her life. The words "we make our own family" truly resonate here as Del has found her place with Cass and Nix beside her. Oh don't imagine it's all sunny though as there's a shady plan in motion that puts Del front and centre in the crosshairs but as she learns to trust Roarke more and more I'm starting to believe that this couple could take on anything be they human, demon or even family!

Narrator Review: Laurel Schroeder
Distinguishable between characters: 5 Stars
Impersonating opposite sex: 5 Stars. She is one of the few female narrators that I think does an excellent job in this.
Accents: 5 Stars - very small Scottish brogue part.
Overall enjoyment of Performance: 5 Stars. Laurel Schroeder is one of my favorite narrators and I highly recommend audiobooks with her as the narrator.
Recommend audible version: Yes.

This is not a standalone series. You will need to start at book one because each book is picking up right where the last one left off.
In book three, more is revealed about Del's past, her powers and what she needs to learn for whatever big battle is about to come. We spent the majority of this book following along with Del and Roarke trying to find Draka, knowing that she is in trouble.
This is a very slow burn love story in the midst of a fast paced, action packed, paranormal story. The author is doing a great job of keeping me entertained with the story line and even though there isn't much romance, you still see the growth of Del and Roarke's emotions towards each other. On to book 4....

With the third installment of the The Seeker Del, Roarke and the gang are on a mission to find Draka, Del’s friend and Phantom Dragon. As they do their best to figure out where Draka is, bits and pieces of Del’s memories of her childhood begin to surface and what her role in the grand scheme of things starts to become a little clearer.
As excited as I was to dive into Magic Revealed and finding out more about Del and what the whole Guardian and The Demise thing was about (as well as spend some quality time with Roarke) I found it difficult to get into the first part of the story. I can’t pinpoint what it was because the writing was as good as always and things story wise were moving along at a good clip, but I just wasn’t hooked. But I persevered and by about the halfway that changed as answers to Del’s past and what her role as Guardian and The Demise as well as why the demons seem to adore her, started to come to the forefront. Did we end up with more questions because of it? Of course, but now we are on a bit more solid ground (a bit) than before as we find out that Del is the lynch pin to what could be the end of the world as we know it.
Despite my struggle in the beginning, this was a fun read. Ms. Hall’s love and enjoyment of writing this series and these characters jumps out of the page at you from how she describes the places she sends her characters to, the tight spots she puts the gang in and the down time where we get to just hang out with everyone. I enjoyed how we got a good mix of Del solo, Del & Roarke and Del and her sisters and Aiden. The mix kept things interesting and I’m enjoying the pace at which Del & Roarke’s relationship is growing and can’t wait to see what happens next!

I have read all of these books and really enjoyed them but this one while was addicting reading felt like it was on repeat for some of the "battles" , the romance seems to be loosing up a bit and once again we get to see all the gang which is a real plus for this whole series.
I felt like the first series inside this series ran too long at 5 books, hopefully this one will wrap up and let us move on in the next book
Possibly one of the better YA series I have read in years but still needs to show a bit more forward progress in my opinion but still loving it :)

Trust
Del tries to do things on her own. Fortunately, Roarke and her friends know how to help her even when she doesn't want to. Its funny that Draka is the same way and tries to keep Del from saving her. They really are like mother and child. Del at least starts to really trust Roarke so that was good.

downsides of this book: i really don't understand how this two so-called powerful, famous, busy, wealthy guy had so many free-time to be the sisters' bodyguard (i'm sure in the next series, nix's boyfriend too). and i don't appreciate the fact that when they said planning, they didn't actually plan, just hope for the best and impulsively act. but of course they managed to do everything with minor injuries, they're the main characters after all. some parts are too good to be true, the conflicts were too convenient and easily solved and sometimes it was just ridiculous. the characters all lack of any distinct personality, you could easily separated them as 'the hot-powerful dude' and 'the powerful dragon chicks'
those flaws aside, i enjoyed this book. it could be fun and thrilling if only the conflicts were more intense. but it was fun for a quick read.
Recap:
del and nix was adventuring/tomb-riding in a middle of forest in honduras. they fought giant snakes, del got something like seizures thanks to blue flash, feeding a jaguar, crossing an acid moat with exploding rocks, and brought back an ancient artifact and its temple with del's newfound power. they easily transferred the artifact's magic but because she restored the place, it means all the magical traps were restored too. they were chased around by giant statue and kidnapped by flying rocks but they easily escaped it all.
they returned to ancient magic, cleaned up, and went to P&P to celebrate Emile's birthday. Del got a dream about Draka later that night. apparently, when she and her sisters were jailed by victor, Draka tried to rescue her but she wouldn't leave without her sisters and the guards came to chase her out. the next day, roarke came to visit when del got another 'fit' of blue flash but this time, she was sure it was Draka sending her message. she followed it to a redwood forest, got attacked by angry little tree, captured by giant roots, and found a portal that teleported them to the Arcadian forest, home to the league of firesouls. the didn't find Draka and the tug in del's dragon sense stopped but there must be a reason why Draka told her to go here.
Corin found them and took her to Flora to talk. Flora told them that Draka met her herself and gave her a warning for Del. Draka forbid Del to find Draka because it was too dangerous for the last 2 dragon phantom, especially the fact that Del was also the triumvirate, the Guardian and the descendant of Hell and Snowdia, she needed to survive and saved the world. but Del was being stubborn, insisted that she had to save her friend and was about to leave when Flora, with her unexpected powerful magic trapped them, immobilized them and hid them away. it was nightfalls before Del summoned Pondflower for help. the hellhound brought her friends along and with their magic rescued them. they barely escaped with Flora on their tail but they managed.
turned out, Snowdia was a place name, somewhere in Northern Welsh and the next day, they teleported there with cass, nix, and aidan. they found an unfrozen lake in the middle of snowy mountain, and it was strange which means it was magic and her dragon sense tugged her towards somewhere beyond waterfall. so roarke destroyed the protective charm around it, which froze the lake but they hurriedly made a swim for it. after almost drowning, they made it thanks to cass and aidan in polar bear form. they warmed themselves up then continue.
suddenly, thick fog came and Del lost everyone and she fell down the mountainside and broke her leg. to make things more exciting, two wolves who could touched her in phantom form attacked her but when they got a whiff of who she was, they became tame. even better, they healed her broken leg. using her ice power, she found the others and they proceed until they found a massive gate that surrounded a fortress.
Del opened the gate using her touched and when they entered, they felt powerful but decayed magic and everyone who lived there was dead. it was also full of phantoms. cass, nix, and aidan ran to safety while roarke stubbornly stayed with del. they easily eliminated all of them (of course roarke could touch them. and i'm curious, what happened to the dead phantom?) and they entered the mansion/fortress. the passed through several doors, descent a lots of stairs, passed more doors until eventually they arrived in a throne room with Draka chained on a throne. Draka shouted for her to run but Del impulsively ran for her then trapped inside with demons attacking from all side.
Del turned into a phantom but this weird demons could harm her when she was in phantom form and their fire harmed her. roarke managed to make a hole in the barrier but the others couldn't pass. they fought but the demons didn't stop coming so they made a run for it (like the others, the demons couldn't pass through the barrier) and roarke made an underpath portal there and took everyone safely to his house.
the next day, after some healing, eating, and sleeping, del and roarke planned to sneak out back to the fortress and leave the others behind (cliche heroic characters). they went to p&p first to pick up some invisibility potion from connor and then underpathed themselves to the fortress. apparently, some of the demons from the throne room escaped but they were invisible so it was fine. they went to the tower and Del was hit by a surged of a very bad memory. turned out, her own parents sold her out to victor.
they explored the fortress more after that. they came to the library, saw her family tree. here, her memories got triggered. her mom said that they were world walker, that's why she could went to underworld and back. her dad said behind the throne, there was an escape tunnel that led to the outer wall, that's how they would freed Draka.
they came to Draka and immediately, a cage fell upon them, trapping them in, classic idiots. draka said she couldn't escape because they held her core egg, hence she couldn't shift into dragons. demons surrounded them but couldn't see them and del brought back the past, her mom's birthday specifically, and the reveler attacked the demon, giving them chance to escape. but their invisibility spell wore off and they were captured again.
del woke up in a dungeon and a demon came to give her to the master as a plaything when she lunged and attacked him. she squeezed his balls (badass) and threaten to yank it (super badass) if the demon didn't melt her shackles. he did and she immediately grab her sword from the ether and killed him and stole his power.
using her dragon sense, she found roarke in torture chamber, being tortured by 2 demons. she threw ice spear to them and released rorke but he was too weak after a torture. fortunately, she found healing potion and he could at least managed to escape. she sensed draka's core egg was somewhere in the castle but decided to wait for reinforcements before taking it (at least now she was smart). they met little demons guard on the way and managed to go out from the river.
after cass ran some errands and retrieved some potions from connor, they tried to infiltrate the castle again. they couldn't go in from the same gate that they went out so their brilliant idea was to be bait. they drunk a potion that made them immune to other potions (courtesy from Connor) and they pretended to be knocked out so the demons sneaked them in, along with invisible cass, nix, and aidan. when they were inside, they killed the demons and followed the dragon's sense to the egg. it was inside a labyrinth covered with thorny vines.
after some attacked by mega-wasp, stabbed by those thorny vines, almost ran into the demons, and got separated thanks to the black fog, del found the door that held the egg. it was surrounded by white light that slowed everything down. when Del came, the Shadow appeared. they fought for a few moments and the Shadow said that she would be their queen after they destroyed the world, classic crazy bad guy speech. when it was clear she couldn't defeat him (he was faster), she made a run to the light, where the Shadow's whip couldn't reach her, and rescued the egg but she was trapped and immobilized.
the demons and Roarke's brother came in with Del's friends in tow and the Shadow told the demons to kill them but no need to worry because Draka came in to the rescue. Draka released her from the light prison and Del immediately grabbed her sword and stabbed the shadow. It disappeared but clearly, he didn't die (he said he was many, a legion). the others also easily killed the demons while Roarke's brother ran away.
they returned and rested in Roarke's house after that, along with Emile, Claire, and Connor. Del chatted with Draka and she confirmed some of Del's fears. Draka said that her parents sold her to Victor because they thought Victor could helped her with her power but the Shadow thought they sold her because they wanted to betray it so the Shadow killed them all. Lovely. Also, Del still didn't know what power that made her so special but there was a storm coming and she needed to steal more demons power to survive it. the end.

Paddling through the hot jungle, vultures flying overhead, Del and Nix felt the magic which was protecting the treasure site increasing. They had to be close to their goal. Spotting the abandoned city ahead, they saw a huge 50-foot magical snake pop out of the water directly in front of them. The snake immediately attacked. Both of them shifted to their Phantom forms and drew weapons to kill the snake, while the vultures continued circling, boding more trouble ahead. Once they defeated the snake and made it to land, things didn’t get any better. With an acid moat surrounding them and a jaguar growling from the only exit spot, things were not looking good! And if they did survive this peril, there was more potential chaos that could throw them into another adventure! So many things were out there to challenge their magic and their friendships!
The characters in this story are developed well. The women are strong and have great courage, easy to admire and cheer for. Del is still learning control of her powers, so the outcome of their danger is never totally certain. The intriguing story line continues in this third book of the series to give us exciting new glimpses to keep up the suspense. I highly recommend this book, and the previous two that are part of the overall adventure. The author has a great writing style and is easy to read. You can’t go wrong with this book!

Del and Rourke are closer than ever in the third book of this series. Her task in this book is to find Drakka (her guardian) and free her. She is assisted by Rourke and others. There are fights, poisonous wasps, a labrynth, memories regained, knowledge learned of her parents, Rourke’s brother (a baddie) appears, demons and others are dealt with and much else occurs. This is an action-packed adventure I believe will appeal to YA and perhaps NA readers who enjoy magic, paranormal adventure books with a touch of romance. NOTE: I am eager to find out what will happen in the next books and really want to find out more about Nix when it is her turn to have her story told.

It's like a belated adolescence, in a good way
It feels like since the women lost their memories at 15 that their development stalled in some areas for years and is now being forced to advance rapidly. Also seeing the sweet and slow romances is cute. If you're wanting to read sex scenes this isn't the series for you. However it's action packed and an amazing and magical world. Can't say I like its government but when do we really like our governments.

I did really enjoy this book. I found it funny and I loved the action that is in it. It is good in a way that although things are not resolved its not so bad that things are completely not solved. Its just not all wrapped up in a bow. Its fixed partially and as the books go on more pieces of the puzzles are put together.

I have some trouble with Del’s ability to bring the past back to life. It’s this weird thing where the past and present collide, and sometimes it seems like it’s a temporary thing that fades when the magic’s done, but sometimes it seems like Del can change the past? Huh? It’s awkward as hell and I wish Hall hadn’t worked in the whole change-the-past aspect of it. It’s just too finicky and easy to screw up if you aren’t really really careful. And, well, sometimes Hall isn’t entirely careful with her details. (Still waiting for an explanation as to why people will use bows and arrows but not guns in these books.)
That said, watching Del master her magics and gain new ones is fun. She and her friends are turning into a walking magical arsenal; Nix has got to be getting magic envy while waiting for her own sub-series. Also, the fight scenes are still fantastic, with plenty of magic-slinging and whole armies of demons ready to be squished at our heroes’ feet.
Best of all is the sheer kick-assery of our heroines. Their honeys are partners and teammates, not super-protectors. The guys so far respect their women. I think Roarke and Del have more chemistry than Aidan and Cass. Also note that while there is a touch of romance in these series, it’s not the dominant theme and is PG-rated. I also love Del’s weird fetish for good luck charms! The series is a little formulaic as urban fantasies go, but it’s just plain fun and I’m enjoying it so far.

There's more Del and Roarke (I love Roarke so much), we delve further into Del's past, and we get to see the whole gang together - whoop whoop!
I don't know what I loved more: learning more about Del's past or Del and Roarke together... who am I kidding, I love Roarke and all his gorgeous hybrid-ness. However, what I loved the most about this book is that despite all the shit that gets thrown at this group, and the sticky situations they end up in, they stick together as a family. There were a few twists and turns in the plot, as to be expected, but there were definitely a number of unexpected surprises (particularly that last one, wasn't expecting that at all), and I can't wait to see what comes from them.
If you haven't read either The Huntress or The Seeker series, go and buy them today, they are amazing and you won't regret it! (FYI - I'm not told, or paid, to say this, I generally think these books are amazing and well worth reading)

I'm beginning to notice a trend in the Dragon's Gift series. All of individual series are five books and the third installments involved a lot of running around which doesn't move the plot forward very much. They seem to be just filler,
In the case of "Magic Revealed" Del is on a quest to locate and rescue Draka, the phantom dragon from her captors. As Del and Roark go through a series of trials we finally learn about her upbringing as well as her deceased parents. Unlike Cass' upbringing, Del's is not a pretty story.
Although this is book three, the true villain remains ambiguous at best. In a way it's frustrating because for me an antagonist should be so vile you want to jump through the pages of the book and kick their butt, Unfortunately, there is no clear bad guy. I could have skipped this book and it probably wouldn't interfere with my understanding of book four. It just isn't that essential. Oh well, every series has a book that is not as great as the others and this one is mine. Off to book four!

Okay, so this book was a little better than the last one with the unexplained powers, people, etc...but still not so great.

Magic Revealed had a much better plot with Del trying to save Draka though that's all this book is. Her just trying to do that. We still don't have any idea who Draka is to Del besides her thinking of her as her guardian. We get a general sense of Del's parents but I think that's going to be it and I still have tons of questions. Like exactly who are they? Why were there so many phantoms on their property? Who is Roarke's brother to him? How was his family like? Just so many questions that still remain unanswered.
Del seems just relatable but never enough and it gets so annoying because there's potential but it ALWAYS comes up short. Hopefully the next book is much much better

Love the magical elements and the fighting scenes! Lots of kicking butt in this book! These books are always a fun read, and I really enjoy reading Del’s story unfold. Del’s phantom half is great, and I love that all the females in this series are tough and smart. The romance is really sweet, and I love Roarke. I do wish that this series didn’t seem like the author is following a template for each series. The romance between Del and Roarke pretty much follows along the same lines as Cass and Aiden from the previous series. Plus, there’s similar scenarios in both series; need to find a missing friend in the 3rd book, grow a bit closer in the romance dept 2nd book, heavy make out session 3rd book, call Mordica and Aridica (sp) for help, etc. I really enjoy the stories, but it’d be nice to have things mixed up a bit. Maybe Nyx’s books. Either way, this is a fun series and this book was a good edition to this series. I really enjoyed Cass’ books, but I’m loving Del’s a bit more. Good stuff.

Dale and work travel with Cass and Nix and Aiden as they seek to find where Draka is being held captive. They find her in an abandoned fortress covered with demons and outnumbered they have to retreat. They flee from the scene and get back to work's house where they can heal up and regroup. Well everybody else sleeps Del and Rourke slip out and go back to the fortress trying to sneak in. They are captured and put in the dungeon.Del chained up to the wall and unable to do any magic has to wait for the jailer to come in to take him down into make him melt her shackles. He is an iiron demon so after he freezes her and she has her power back she kills him and steals his power so that she can find Rourke and get them both free.

This is book 3 of Del's story and adventure to learning about herself.
This book feels more of a book of learning about herself for Del. We have a purpose, to free Del's friend. But that feels like the main purpose of the book. There's growth for Del as she makes some self realizations. She is afraid of stealing powers, but this is something that will help her fight the battle to come. Del does learn a bit about her blood family as well.
I like that her family relationship isn't exactly what she hoped for. Not all families roses and hugs all the time, so this was a nice twist to the story.
Del's relationship with Rourke grows in this book too. They've known each other for a few weeks, but they are very compatible personality and power wise.

Del hasn’t heard anything from Draka since she helped kill the Ubliaze demon. She is worried and her dragon sense is letting her pick up any clue to where Draka is. Out of the blue she starts seeing a blue flash of light but then it is gone. One night she is going to get something from her room when the blue flash floors her. Roarke comes running. She finally has a sense on where Draka is being held but it is trap. Del and Roarke escape and go for reinforcements. Now the fight is on to rescue Draka and all come out alive.

Too Exciting!!
Oh and Del's story continues to get better. What is this great power she supposedly has? Why do the demons call her the Demise and Draka calls her the Guardian? So many things to find out. She and Roarke are fast becoming an item on her side as well. Oh, and yet another surprise with Roarke's brother turning back up and on the side of the Shadows no less. Guess I'd better get to work on book 4 before I go crazy. Still loving me some Linsey Hall! She is fast becoming my favorite author!

Another great one!
I am so thankful that Del succeeded in her plan. I love that the 3 girls stick together and have each other's backs no matter what. I also love seeing the relationship with Roarke growing. I am dying to know what Del's great power is and I hope she steals a bunch of really good powers. I like that Cass has her transport power but at the same time I know that Del misses it so I'm secretly hoping that she finds a demon with that power and she steals it so that she kinda gets it back without Cass losing it. 😊

The adventure continues with Del discovering more about her past and her parents' sinister plans. As questions are answered, more questions arise and the Triumvirate along with Aidan and Roark find themselves in a number of tight spots. But Del comes to understand that family does not mean being related by blood and the merry band she shares her days with have given her more than and blood relatives ever have.

The saga continues with Del, Nix and Cass. In this book Del learned more about herself, her past, her parents and so much more. Her quest was to rescue one of her friends. The action that happens next will keep you interested until the end. I can't wait to read the next one. An amazing author, such talent with the written word.

But the Shadows don't expect the whole crew. And Del doesn't expect to be drawn back 'home'. A place that is cold, not counting the weather. Another great use of archeological places by the author. And more adventures for the Triumverate!

Terrific book!
In this book, Del’s life is one of discovery. It’s what I call a happy sad story. I appreciate the author giving one of the girls a sad history, as not everyone has a rosy past. I like how Del focuses on what she has rather than what she never had. I also like the slow burn romance between Del and Roarke. When it is time it will heat up, but until then I like that they are taking things slowly.

Excellent continuation
My heart broke in this book. We’ve all been waiting to see what Del’s past held for her, and we got it. It sure isn’t pretty. But, Del has a family that may not be blood, it loves her no matter what. And Roarke has turned out to be a surprisingly beautiful soul. And Draka- I cant wait to see the parts that she will play! I’m definitely living this series!!!

Amazing!!!
I don't usually take the time to review because I just never know what to say. However, I just have to this author thank you! This series so far has been an amazing read at book 3 I'm still enthralled and downloading the rest of the series immediately I recommend other to just download them all save yourself the extra clicking!!!
