Aether Walker Game Changer is the introduction novel to a series about people with an ability to see things that most of the public cannot, Kandace was a normal teen until she witnessed her mother's murder by a monster. After her mother's death, Kandace becomes a hunter, seeking out these monster's and preventing them from hurting people. Her struggle intensifies when she realizes she is totally alone until she spies another hunter with special abilities. Kandace has to put her trust in Lance as he is the only one who truly understand her plight. Will she turn away from everything she knows and join them?
A solid introduction to a series that should entertain any fantasy reader.

Another awesome fantasy book from Nak.

I don’t do long reviews or spoilers but this is a short story well worth reading. You follow young Kandice who can see alien predators where other humans can’t .
It’s the beginning of a journey for her as she , through fate, became a hunter.

Read it to find out more. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was a complete twist within the CotSR!
For this part of the adventure we have switched from Fencura and are back to "regular" Earth where the young adult Kandice is traumatized by the loss of her mother, and now she seeks answers while trying to take on everyday life.
I look forward to the rest of the Aether Walker series.
Overall I gave this a 4.5, but gladly round it up for 5 stars for my Goodreads review.

Good book and simple to read

Very interesting book around Kandice's life, how she became a hunter and chased after the Aeather Walkers after her mum was attacked and killed. I like the way Lance was introduced into the story. It makes you wonder who Lance is and what it will all lead to. The book was slow in the middle and I expected more at the end but very good story with enough captivating suspense level that will keep you reading.

*Note*: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Overall, I did enjoy this book. Though the character that interested me the most was actually Blake. But our heroine is Kandice. An ordinary girl who has an extraordinary power, to see dangerous creatures, that she calls "Aether Walkers", which feed upon humans in a variety of ways ranging from fairly harmless and then up to and including death as the worst of the worst.

Kandice and her brother, Blake, went through a traumatic experience which is when her ability first revealed itself.

She meets Lance, another Hunter. One with far more training and power when he kills an Aether Walker, one of the largest she has ever seen to that point. After that, she looks for him, hoping to run into him again and to be able to discuss the fact that they both can see them where others cannot.

Her ease of meeting up with Lance and gaining his trust, and the trust of his grandfather, Slava, seemed a little too quick and easy for me.

The book could stand for a little more "show me" vs "tell me" if you know what I mean and it definitely requires editing for correct word usage and grammar, but that was fairly easy to ignore overall, as the author's purpose and point were telegraphed through the rest of the sentence so one's mind would substitute the correct word(s) when necessary. Though there is one point in the book where the author wrote a note to himself to replace "Police" with the Russian word for police.

The sexual tension between Lance and Kandice is another area where it would benefit from more show and less tell.

When Lance begins training Kandice - things seem to speed up quite a bit and I would have enjoyed a bit more depth to their training sessions.

There was a good chunk of the book dedicated to Kandice moving away from her "normal" life and embracing this new Hunter's life more fully and I appreciated that. I just wish as much of the other characters motivation and feelings had been revealed for a better balance.

I look forward to reading the subsequent books.

A new world and characters in the series

In this book we are introduced to a new set of characters and foes all set on Earth. Kandice can see, but she's not sure that it's a good thing. she feels completely alone after her mom passed away at the hands of some creature right in front of her. Why hadn't anyone else seen it? she has made it her life's mission to try to track down the thing that killed her mom, and any other creatures that get in the way. But her whole world flips the day she sees Lance, and realizes then that she's not alone. Are there really other people who can see these creatures? Now all she can focus on is finding Lance and getting the answers that she needs.

this book was so good and it added some great new perspectives into the overall series. I can't wait to get into the next book so that I can see where Kandice's story goes. I would definitely recommend this book and the entire series.

A new character to be introduced to us in this amazing series NAK has written. She maybe my favorite yet, Kandice a spunky head strong female role is out to avenge her mother who was killed right in front of her and her brother by what she called Aether Walkers. Flying through her story was a breeze that kept me captivated right from the start. Highly recommended book.
