Jeanie London has had a head filled with characters for as long as she can remember. She completed her very first novel when she was just eleven--200 handwritten pages spanning several composition notebooks. School years were spent sneaking romances into school when she should have been learning algebra and biology. College years were spent taking all sorts of electives, like journalism and fiction writing classes, when she should have been taking algebra and biology. Nowadays, Jeanie is still reading and writing romances because she believes in happily-ever-afters. Not the "love conquers all" kind, but the "two people love each other, so they can conquer anything" kind.
Visit Jeanie at http://www.jeanielondon.com. She's very social and loves to meet others who believe in happily ever afters, too.
I loved the Falling Inn Bed, and Breakfast premise. There's a certain suspension of disbelief that goes into reading romance in my opinion. You have to be willing to accept fling-turned-love or player-turned-romantic. I had such trouble seeing Laura's romantic purism take a detour into casual sex. I didn't find it believable even in the far reaches of the romance universe. I didn't find her being late twice all that realistic either. It didn't match what I'd interpreted her personality to be (which may be wrong on my part). I couldn't reconcile her into a realistic person so I had trouble relating to her and really investing in her.
The side plot with the Prescott family was interesting. I liked how it complicated matters that would otherwise have been very straightforward. I don't think that was tied up very well. It's not the main focus, but I think there should have been some sort of conclusion.

The title spoke for itself. Not only did this book have had a lot of sizzling hot romance but it was also hilarious to boot! Gosh, chapter 1 already made me laugh so hard I almost didn’t breathe from lack of oxygen!
I fell in love with the character of Laura Granger here. She was portrayed as a very strong female lead who didn’t back down when presented with dilemma or when she finds herself in a tight spot. As the Bedding Consultant for Falling Inn Bed and Breakfast, she got a lot of that. But she always rises to the occasion whatever and whenever. She was obviously very efficient in her work and a believer in what she does for the clients of the hotel. She was a firm advocate of true love and campaigns it as the mission of the Falling Inn Bed. This was the reason why she didn’t pursue her feelings for Dale Emerson, the architect who was responsible for the design of the additional wing of the hotel and the one who relentlessly flirts with her when the building was into construction.
Dale Emerson, on the other hand, was just simply adorable! He was funny and sexy and insatiable in his want for Laura which I found very exciting in this story. What I liked about his character was that he never deluded Laura into thinking he wanted anything but an affair. He was rather straight-forward in his desires for her which I found very amusing in the end when the tables were being slowly turned on him unknowingly. Because he was suddenly realizing he was seriously considering himself a contender for Laura Granger’s affection!
This was a fun and sexy read. I would love to read the next in Falling Inn Bed series,"Run for Covers", the story of Adam Grant and Victoria Ford. ^_~
Meh. Often I read a Blaze as a palate cleanser when I need a change. Often they are a short blend of sex and romance. Still a three star read, but not a particularly high three star read.
In this offering, Laura Granger is a manager of sorts for an erotically themed hotel. She has a wildly unlikely planned fling with a super sexy architect (Dale Emerson). Lots of unresolved issued are left for future installments in this story arc. A fair amount of sex and romance but I never really felt the connection between the two. In other words a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. However, I don't see this one being in my memory this time next month.
This was a fun little read, nothing spectacular, but enjoyable enough to spend an hour or two reading. I never did particularly warm to the heroine as much as I probably should have, although I liked the hero well enough.
