About the author

Kaajal was born on 29 September 1966 in Mumbai, India. She graduated with a degree in English and Sanskrit from Gujarat University in 1986. She completed her post-graduate certificate in advertising management at Saint Xavier's College in Mumbai.

She debuted in writing with a short story collection, Sambandh.. To Akash in 2005 was followed by a collection of poetry, Sheshyatra. Her popularity grew when her first novel Yog Viyog was serialized in Chitralekha weekly. She worked on plays during her earlier career. She teaches creative writing as a Visiting Faculty in the Master of Developmental Communication Department of Gujarat University.

She worked as a journalist with Sandesh, Gujarat Daily, Loksatta-Jansatta, The Indian Express, Abhiyan magazine and Samkalin, Sambhaav. She writes columns in Divya Bhaskar, Gujarat Mitra, Kutchmitra, Janmabhhomi Pravasi and Culcutta Halchal. She regularly gives speeches on different subjects across Gujarat and beyond. She hosts the radio show Kaajal@9 on 94.3 My FM Ahmedabad.

I have seen her speech on Facebook and Whats-app messages and decide to read her books. She is well read and shows relationships from different paradigms. It's a quick read, however it covers topics from childhood to death.

In today's so called busy life we forget what it meant to be human; as she mention in one of the article every human being in search of three things - sukh, santhi and sneh rest doesn't matter. We should stop taking our loved one for granted and invest time to make our relationships stronger.

This is a good read for traditional, modern and hybrid (traditional + modern) generations.

"સંબંધો બાંધતા બહુ વાર લાગે છે – તમે લાગણીનું બી વાવો પછી એને સમજદારીનું ખાતર, સંવેદનાનું પાણી અને સ્નેહનો તડકો આપવો પડે છે. ગેરસમજણોનું નીંદણ કરી નાખવું પડે છે, ત્યારે એક સુંદર છોડ કે વૃક્ષનું નિર્માણ થાય છે."

The book was nice. Some of the chapter were really awesome and she has made some really good points. I like reading her books as she gives really idea of society and also gives practical thoughts which is great. It was that great book though but I like reading such books. She has covered really nice topics in this book which shows bitter truth of society and also where exactly we go wrong and what’s not right!

Best book i have read on relationships. Recommeded to any married couple or anything who is going to get married. Kajal Oza tried to convey her message in a very bold way .. liked it.. !!!
