"What a world, when you can't even trust the dead ones."

Earlier this year I randomly requested a book by an author I had never heard of (not that this is unusual for me..) and devoured what turned out to be book one in the Bite Nights series. I was totally delighted by the story, surprised it was her debut, and couldn't wait for more. Just recently I was similarly lucky enough to be approved for book two and knew I wouldn't be able to wait long before diving in. And lo and behold here we are.

"Why are you out here?"
"It's your bedroom, Miss Hart. It wouldn't be right for me to enter."
"Exactly what year did you say you were born in?"
"I didn't. But it was the eighteenth century."
"Ah. You're worried about my reputation."
"Old habits die hard."

I will confess that I didn't love ROMANCING THE UNDEAD as much as DROP DEAD GORGEOUS (previously DATING THE UNDEAD) but it wasn't because of the characters. Vincent was a genteel dreamboat and Mila was kind of a mess but in an adorable awkward babbling but genuine way. I liked how they tried to resist each other because of their circumstances -- Mila being under Vincent's protection as she had been targeted by a serial killing vampire that Vincent and his detective buddies were hunting down -- but was glad when they didn't try too hard. These two definitely know how to burn it up between the sheets.

"We moved in together, then we slept together, and now I'm meeting your mother. [..] Maybe when this is over, we can do things how people normally would."
"What, sleep with me and then ignore my text messages?"

But the laugh out loud humour that I loved from Lyons first book wasn't as present. There were still amusing exchanges or moments but it was a more serious plot, I guess? I did, however, love Vincent's fellow Scotland Yard inspectors and all their banter and quirks.

"I don't own a tv."
"Oh my god. No wonder it took you people so long to be accepted into society."

Along with the lack of elle-oh-elle humour, I was also a little disappointed by the ending. Don't get me wrong, it's ridiculously sweet and gooey and I'm really happy about it, but I kinda thought things might go Mila's way instead of Vincent's. I understand why they didn't but it was just a little too similar to the resolution in book one. I wanted something different.

"For a creature who's been around since the dawn of time, you're surprisingly inept when it comes to dating. I've known five-year-olds with a better grasp of emotional maturity."

That being said I had a fun time reading this one, it was a sweet and sexy romp, and man I hope Cat and Ronin's book is next. That'll shake up the formula a bit but also.. I just loved the hate-on she has for him. I want more of that. We got a taste of their history but that just has me hungry for more. This is definitely a new to me author I'll keep picking up and I can't wait for more!

3.5 "the worst thing about giving your secret vampire protector a blow job in his Porsche is you can't tell a damn soul about it" stars

'Drop Dead Gorgeous' by Juliet Lyons is the Second Book in The "Bite Nights" series. This is the story of Mila Hart and Vincent Ferrer. I have read the previous book but feel you can make this a standalone book.
Mila was looking for love but ended up with a dangerous date who nearly killed her. But luckily Vincent was on the case and saved her. Although this left Mila feeling down on love it was hard to fight the strong feelings that were making their way toward Vincent. Vincent is a cop but also a vampire. So Vincent has some old time ways.
I totally enjoyed this book and the interactions with the secondary characters. Very funny too.

DROP DEAD GORGEOUS was just what I needed! It is the second book in Juliet Lyons new paranormal series, the Bite Nights Series. The series is about a dating service for vampires and humans. In Juliet Lyon’s frictional world humans are aware of vampires. This is such a fun and sexy romance series and DROP DEAD GORGEOUS left me with a smile on my face. I loved Vincent, the hot vampire cop, and wanted to be friends with Mila. Hot romance, danger and some humor made this a great book. I recommend this series for paranormal lovers looking for a fun new vampire series. I’ll be grabbing the next release.

When Vincent is in a hurry the man often forgets the necessities, "with a final worried look, he leaps off the bed. “Wait,” I say, as his hand closes around the doorknob. “What about your clothes?” He glances down at himself in surprise. There is a thin sheen of sweat shimmering between the ridges of his muscles, his thick length purple and raw from our lovemaking. Golden strands of his hair stick up from his head like a toilet brush. “Not that I don’t think that’s an exceptionally good look on you, of course.” Vincent was one hot vampire, he was super protective of Mila, I loved him. I enjoyed this book, I found the characters extremely likable.

"Guess there's a new badass in town, eh? Watch out, ladies. London's answer to John McClane is coming to a police station near you. Fuck you, Mr. UPS. How many vampires has that wife-robbing bastard killed, eh?" --Sgt. Lee Davies (this plugs into a reoccurring joke, ha!)

Even though most of the novels I veer toward are historicals, I do like to sprinkle some contemporaries and PNRs throughout my regular reads to spice things up so I don't burn myself out on the genre. I especially love fun novels like this one that have the ability to combine the two and still keep things light and sexy with a murder-mystery vibe (which is another genre that I've been REALLY loving lately!).

Despite the fact that DROP DEAD GORGEOUS was a cheesy insta-lust fest, I still found myself savoring the cheese and going back for seconds...and thirds. Our heroine Mila was hilarious and continually found herself in ridiculous situations, and I thoroughly enjoyed following her around and listening to her commentary. Vincent was my favorite sort of hero: chivalrous, kind, protective, and constantly fighting between his love for the heroine and "doing what's right". My ONE hangup with him was when (after meeting Mila for the first time and deciding he can't have her because it's his duty to protect her) he calls up some other woman and has relations with her to "chase the heroine from his mind". I seriously hate this ploy. That if men CAN'T HAVE the woman they want when they want her, then they just HAVE to satisfy their needs with someone else. UGH. Anyway he ends up "confessing" this to Mila later on, so that quelled my anger somewhat. Plus, he gave us one of the best lines in the novel:
"My dick is so hard in my trousers I can practically hear the seams groan under the pressure."

Other than that little misstep, I've really enjoyed this series so far! The author put her own little spin on the vampire genre, and I definitely recommend this fun, witty, SEXY, and action-filled novel. It was nice seeing little mentions of Logan and Silver's HEA from the first book, and I'm excited to read the next one as well, centering around the vampire overlord Ronin.

My Inspector Vincent Ferrer, the last surviving Knight of the Round Table always in a suit :)

Mila Hart’s pitfalls with her dating life leads her to sign up on V-date, a vampire dating site. She ends up with a murderer her first time out ( talk about having a really having a crappy night!), but luckily for Mila, she’s rescued by Inspector Vincent Ferrer, a sexy vampire cop from the Metropolitan Police. She thinks all’s well that ends well..until (bad news)she realizes the killer isn’t finished with her just yet, but (good news) Vincent is assigned to protect her.

Mila was awkward cute with an adorably funny habit of babbling. While her knack for dating the worst guys around made me feel sorry for her, her upbeat personality made it hard to pity her for long. She just picks herself up and gets back on the horse so to speak.

Vincent had Old World charm and a charming sweetness I couldn’t resist! He can’t deny Mila anything, and it made him even sweeter to see what excuses he came up with when he starts purchasing stuff left and right for her. At the same time, he’s fighting their attraction since she’s his witness on the case.

I liked the chemistry between Mila and Vincent. The tension was well done, keeping things lively and on edge, while making me wonder when they would just give in and do the deed!

And I loved the supporting characters! Who knew Scotland Yard had such a sense of humor on staff? And Vincent’s friends Cat and Ronin..definite sparks burning that direction.

For the most part, I thought the story was delightfully comedic! There was a mildly serious overtone in regards to the criminal aspect, but the banter and quips between characters kept things light. The romance was spicy, the conversations amusing, and with a wildly entertaining supporting cast, I can say I was never bored and most definitely entertained!

Book two in the Bite Night series, I easily read this book as a stand alone.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Sourcebooks Casablanca via NetGalley.

My Thoughts:
I vastly enjoyed the differences between this installment verses the first one however its closing for the book was a mirror of the first which was kind of a disappointment since I assumed that it would be different from the first due to the fact that the book for the most part was different. Still I really enjoyed our h/h - the secondary cast is great I loved their personalities I loved the plot which was ten times better than the first in keeping my attention and my enjoying it. Lyons continues to improve and provide us as readers a fantastic series to love.
PS Love the car scene. *wink*

Ramblings:
The hero [Inspector Vincent Ferrer] and supporting characters [Superintendent Burke and Sergeant Davies] are somewhat reminiscent of Christie’s Poirot and his interactions with Inspector Japp and Captain Hastings. If you’ll remember, Japp worked for Scotland Yard. As do Ferrer, Burke, and Davies-with one major distinction: Ferrer’s a vampire!

Summary:
Mila Hart is done, D-O-N-E, dating married men [he lied/she didn’t know] and serial killers. The online dating site V-Date.com was to be the answer to all her romantic woes. Well, it was, up until her psychotic match tried to suck the life right out of her. A woman can overlook a guy’s imperfections for the sake of romantic bliss, but attempted murder? No can do!

When Mila meets Vincent she realizes that single women prefer blondes. And...what does she learn when she moves in with him? That 300 year old vamps really know how to bite!

Review:
Drop Dead Gorgeous is the second installment in the Bite Night series written by author Juliet Lyons. It’s a steamy, oftentimes freaky, but always funny take on the ups and downs of dating the undead. I enjoyed every second of the snarky heroine, and thought the secondary characters complimented the main characters. The vampire overlord, Ronin, will appeal to Klaus fans who watch “The Originals” and/or “The Vampire Diaries.”

The novel does flip between the hero’s POV and the heroine’s, but it doesn’t break the continuity. Context clues helped me with a few British terms, except for one. I had no idea what “are you taking the piss” meant. None. Whatsoever. Overall, it was a fun read that made me laugh. I’m all in for book three, That Killer Smile, which is set to release in Feb. of 2018.

You’ll like this story if:
You are a mature reader who enjoys PNR, snarky heroines, or forbidden love tropes. It’ll also appeal to adult readers who like Klaus from “The Originals” and/or the CW’s “The Vampire Diaries.”

Romancing the Undead is the second book in the V-Date series by Juliet Lyons. While I have read the previous book, and it did give me a bit of insight on a few characters, I do not think it is needed to fully enjoy this read.

Mila Hart’s first experience with the vampire dating site V-Date.com is a complete disaster–her date is wanted for murder! But things turn around when she’s rescued by dashing vampire cop Vincent Ferrer. Dangerous and devastatingly attractive, he’s just the undead hottie Mila was hoping for. However Vincent is haunted by his past and does not want to risk falling in love again–even if Mila charms him more than anyone he’s ever met. But when the killer from Mila’s date seeks her out, Vincent is the only one who can protect her. Protecting his heart is a different story.

Romancing the Undead is a solid paranormal romance with a solid plot and danger and connections that were on point. I liked Mila's character, she was strong and aware of her flaws. She was not the mess she considered herself to be, but she certainly did find herself in less that ideal conditions on several occasions. Vincent was a good character as well, although I did find his attachment to guilt and his past to be a little much on occasion. I found the suspense plot line with the vampire murderer to be well done, although I admit that I suspected the twist, or something of its nature from the start. I do think that my favorite part was the characters, especially the supporting characters and hoe varied but real they all felt. From Vincent's co-workers, to the vampires, and beyond to Mila's friends and family, I found the little details about these characters and their lives made everything much more real as I read than the story would have been without them.

Romancing the Undead is an engaging read that had me entertained through out, and holding my breath more than once. I do believe I will be continuing this series, and looking to see what happens to all the characters I have met on the edges of the story.

I received a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads

This is my second book read in this series and i'm completely enjoying the stories! I tore up Paranormal Romance several years ago but sort of fell off on reading them so these have been the first I've picked back up in years. How I love the loathing, lonely, tortured vampire! Vincent isn't the saddest of them, in fact he loves his job and that's something. He meets Mila after thwarting another vampire from murdering her during their "Tinder for Vampires" first date. Mila has been down & out on love and almost being murdered is the topping on the cake. Vincent saves her and protects her and the story that follows was an easy, quickly moving & romantic read. It was funny, flirty and steamy hot, Mila & Vincent spark! I do love the bite scenes, how can you not? *fans self! Setting up Ronan & Cat for the next book I think and that should be a fun read since they HATE each other madly! Highly entertaining!

Mila is not exactly lucky in love. After getting dumped by her (Surprise!) married boyfriend, she decides to try an undead dating service and finds herself with a hot vamp...who is a killer! Yikes! About to become her date’s next victim, she is rescued by Inspector Vincent Ferrer, who it turns out is also a vampire. A hot and yummy vamp! Of course, the killer gets away but doesn’t stay away. Now the only thing that can keep Mila safe is to stay with Vincent while they hunt down the killer vamp. These two are definitely feeling some attraction for each other. While they are having a little ‘fun’ playing house, Vincent has serious baggage from his past and doesn’t want to risk falling in love again. And keeping his distance just gets harder and harder…
Cute, fun and sweet. That's what Drop Dead Gorgeous is. Really, there isn't anything bad about those words. A bit sassy without a harsh bite, Mila is just adorable. Vincent has a sad history, is old school charming and is not up-to-date with pop culture. Throwing them together in his apartment made for hot and giggly reading. Temptations, temptations! It was sweet watching them fight their feelings but you knew all that smoldering heat was going to get in the way.
What would a story be without its secondary characters! I just loved what was happening between Ronin and Catherine. Here’s this scary vamp Ronin with the hots for Cat, and she wouldn’t give him the time of day if the world depended on it. Smirks! I see them getting their own story down the road. However, as funny as I found them to be, the comedic sidekick award goes to Vincent’s partner, Lee Davies. Nothing like a lovable, smart mouth, third wheel getting thrown in the same room as a blooming relationship to make things more fun.
The story itself was fairly simple. A heroine in danger, cop sets out to protect her from the killer, falls in love, yada-yada-yada. Honestly, Vincent’s past was not too surprising. Everything was falling in place and just a tiny bit predictable, until…! Yeah, I didn’t see that twist coming. Certainly made me pay more attention to the killer after that. Let’s not forget the this is a romance and an HEA ending is a requirement. Just expect more cute, fun and sweet. Drop Dead Gorgeous was a no-brainer read but still, I made for entertaining reading.

Drop Dead Gorgeous is the second in the series but can be read standalone just fine. Mila has a history of failed dating experiences so figures to shake things up by giving V-Date a try. Her world is more than shaken up it explodes! She is rescued by the hottest guy she has ever seen who turns out to be a cop who happens to be a vampire.
I really enjoyed the interplay between Vincent and his cop buddies. Mila was cute and funny. Vincent had issues but wasn’t angsty about it. I really want Cat and Ronans story. Overall a fun, sexy, sweet read with a neat twist at the end.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I totally enjoyed it. Talk about first dates! Mila was so lucky that Vincent was there for her after her first date with a vampire turned into a night of terror. But the story isn't all dark, there is plenty of snarky humor and the chemistry shines between the H/h. There was just something so charming about Vincent and his old fashioned ways at times.
I am not a fan of first person, my personal preference, and so I think it could have been stronger and more engaging for readers like me told in 3rd person, JMO.

I received and ARC from NetGalley for my honest opinion.

I was skipping pages. It's never a good sign when I get bored to the point of skipping pages. I liked our heroine, Mila and hero, Vincent but the story was boring. And I was also disappointed in how the story ended (no worries, there is a HEA but it still wasn't to my liking).

Mila was on a first date with a vampire she had contacted through V date which was a Vampire dating service. She had been in a two year relationship only to find the man was married. So Mila decided to try something new and different. Mila met the man for drinks at The World's End which was a very public place and she could be safe so she thought. The Vampire looked at her like she was a rare and exquisite gem. But mila was not attracted to him even though he was handsome. Then the Vampire mentions going outside for some air and Mila can’t seem to do anything but follow him into a alley. The Vampire then says he will kill her before he drinks from her and as he leans closer Mila tries to prepare for the death strike but then Mila hears a loud noise and his hands fall away from her and Mila’s mind is her own again. Mila starts a to faint and a pair of arms hold her up and it is Inspector Vincent Ferrer who is a cop but also a vampire but he lets her know he won’t hurt her. Then a couple more cops appear and take her to the station and explain the Vampire she had been on a date with was a serial killer and used V date to get his victims. Vincent couldn’t seem to stop staring at Mila. in the car, he hoped she hadn’t noticed. Mila ends up being put under Vincent’s protection as the serial killer Vampire- that Vincent and his fellow cops were trying to catch- has targeted Mila and he isn’t finished with her yet and she isn’t safe on her own, She ends up moving in with Vincent for her safety. Vincent is a three hundred year old Vampire and is haunted by his past as he had been engaged but his fiancee had been killed. Vincent never wanted to fall in love again. But Mila does charm Vincent more that anyone he had ever met.Vincent hasn’t felt this way in a very long time.
I loved this story. It was a fun, easy read and a great romance. It caught my attention right from the beginning - how could it not- and kept it until the end which I love by the way. I loved seeing both Mila and Vincent’s POV. I also loved them together. I didn’t want to put this book down. I also loved how Vincent interacted with his fellow cops. This made me chuckle at times and that is always good. I thought it was cute the way Mila tended to babble. I loved how Mila and Vincent had great chemistry but didn’t jump right into bed for some fast relief. I loved there was some suspense and danger as well as a great romance. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend.

Drop Dead Gorgeous by Juliet Lyons is the 2nd book in her Bite Nights series. This series is a paranormal story line revolving around a dating service for vampires and humans. I enjoyed the first book in this series, but I thought this one was even better. Mila Hart is our heroine, and she was a blast from the start. When she decides to date a vampire from the V-Date internet service, it turns out to be a disaster that almost costs her life. The handsome vampire is a serial killer, and just when she thinks her life is over, Mila is saved by a vampire cop.

Vincent Ferrer, our hero, is the detective who saves Mila, and from that moment on he is totally mesmerized by her. Vincent is deep in finding this serial killer, but he also finds himself disturbed by his attraction to Mila, as he has not had these feelings since hundreds of years ago, when his then betrothed was killed. Mila is also attracted to this hunk that she names “Chris Hemsworth”. Since Vincent is not only a good detective, but he is a vampire, which enables him to kill another vampire.

What follows is Vincent’s determination to protect Mila, and do all he can to find the killer before he kills again. Though this is somewhat exciting, the best part of this story is the relationship between Vincent and Mila. It was not only sizzling hot, very sexy, with a wonderful couple, it was also such a fun humorous story. As I said earlier, Mila was a blast with her humor and use of TV shows that Vincent had no idea of. I also thought Vincent was a terrific hero, and despite him being a vampire, a perfect gentleman.

I really enjoyed Drop Dead Gorgeous mainly because the main characters were lots of fun, likeable and their chemistry was off the wall. The storyline with Mila in danger was also exciting and very well done. Most of all Lyons humor throughout made this a fun and sexy story. If you enjoy a sweet, fun, sexy romance with an element of danger and humor, I suggest you read this series.

I read this book yesterday, sometime before going to bed and there's something quirky and interesting about the relationship between Mila and Vincent.
Before I start babbling, let me break it down: there's a site like Tinder, it's called V-date and here you can go on a date with a vampire. Mila does this after breaking up with her boyfriend and her first date turns out to be a serial killer. He takes her out to an alley to kill her but before he does so, detectives show up and save her- one of them happens to be the hot-blonde, Vincent. So, now you get where I'm going with this right?

"Why are you out here?"
"It's your bedroom, Miss Hart. It wouldn't be right for me to enter."
"Exactly what year did you say you were born in?"
"I didn't. But it was the eighteenth century."
"Ah. You're worried about my reputation."
"Old habits die hard."

Yeah, I'm not big on vampire romance. I am more into shifters, faeries and warlords but I couldn't stop reading this book because whereas Vincent is calm and ever the gentleman, Mila stumbles upon her words and she has this adorable babbling nature. It escalates their attraction and at some point, it gets Vincent to embrace a bit of pop culture.
I also loved Vincent's partners in the force, who knew that Scotland Yard Inspectors could tease and banter as much?
This book serves some major heat and inasmuch as it was an awesome story, the ending did not quite go as I'd hoped yeah I'm not the writer, I know but I do wish that the plot would not have included the desire to meet halfway between with one trying to be human the other wanting immortality...it's been done so many times, and the introduction of a witch showed promise, but sadly it just did not save the ending from being a cliche.

What I'd love to read is Cat and Ronin's story, she's tough as nails and he's a persistent ancient and I'm just sizzling knowing those two could be an ultimate read. It was a pleasure having received an arc from NetGalley in exchange for an honest outlook and review on the book.

**I recieved an advanced copy of this title from the publisher in exchange for an honest review**

Whenever I pick up a series after the first title, I get a little worried. There were allusions to the first book in here, but I was glad to see that I wasn't completely lost.

The whole idea behind this is kind of genius: it's modern dating. As someone who met her fiance online, it's kind of hilarious to read a book that's about vampires online dating. Plus, vampires are generally hotties these days, so there is that, too.

Mia's first date with a vampire goes south pretty quickly after her online date puts her in a trance True Blood style and tries to rip her throat out in the alley behind the restaurant. To his credit, he does apologize beforehand (awwwww).

Enter: Vincent Ferrer, AKA superhunk cop 2017 who saves her life and literally sweeps her off her feet. And doesn't want to let go. After her attacker escapes and starts making threats, he really does come to her rescue.

The ending seemed a little rushed. I don't know how I feel about

Mila Hart's first experience with the vampire dating site V-Date.com is a complete disaster—her date is wanted for murder! But things turn around when she's rescued by dashing vampire cop Vincent Ferrer.
Haunted by his past, Vincent can't risk falling in love again—even if Mila charms him more than anyone he's ever met. But when the killer from Mila's date seeks her out, Vincent is the only one who can protect her. Protecting his heart is a different story...

This was the first book I have read by Juliet Lyons, and I can honestly say I was not disappointed. I will definitely go back and read the first book in this series. Right from the first page you will be laughing out loud at the crazy things Mila Hart has to say, then pair her with "Londons answer to Chris Hemsworth" and you'll absolutely enjoy this book. Even though I loved the book overall, I do feel like at times there was some slow parts. At one point I was telling the book to hurry up and get back to the good parts, and of course it listened to me and got right back on track.

Juliet Lyons I look forward to the next book in this series... Don't leave a girl hanging to long ;)

I thank Netgalley, Juliet Lyons and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC in return for an honest review.

Juliet is a new author for me. Let me tell you this Vampire Rom-Com is fantastic! Witty banter is like a drug for me. I eat it up. And the back and forth between these characters was so perfect.

Mila is striking out in the dating scene. After having no luck with human men she decides to sign up for a Vampire dating app. Only it turns into the worst and best date ever depending on how you look at it. Worst because her date tries to kill her. Best because she meets the hot cop, Vincent who comes to her rescue, also a Vampire! Great chemistry & banter between Vincent and Mila. Smoking hot build up. Their story unfolds at the perfect pace too which we all know will make or break a book. I loved every word of this book from beginning to the sweet HEA.

This book takes place in London and written with terminology that I find totally entertaining. Big bonus to me. I honestly wouldn't change a single thing.

So glad I came across this book. I have been working to add reviews to my netgalley profile so when I found this great read I was excited. As soon as I looked up Juliet, I knew she was going to be a new favorite for me.

Girl meets vampire online and goes on date. Vampire turns out to be serial killer. Hot detective vampire saves girl. Hot vampire and girl get thrust together while solving the case of the serial killer vampire on the loose. Sparks, romance, and suspense ensues.

While Drop Dead Gorgeous can be read as a standalone, I would suggest reading book one (Dating the Undead) first for some more context.

The romance is definitely steamy (at times a little too much), but the plot and character development is what sold the book for me. Compared to book one, this book is a step up in terms of plot and suspense. Unlike some authors, Juliet Lyons doesn't merely repeat the same relationships and characteristics with different characters. Vincent and Mila's relationship is refreshing and engaging. Plus, the secondary characters are extremely entertaining.

Thanks to Sourcebooks and NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I was excited to have the opportunity to read an ARC of this book on NetGalley.

When her hellish date tries to kill Mila, sexy vampire Vincent saves her and vows to keep her safe.

Drop Dead Gorgeous, book two in Juliet Lyons’ “V-Date” series, is a fun and sexy paranormal romance.

The series provides a fresh take on vampire mythology. The UK setting is a delicious treat for a US-based reader. The humor often had me laughing out loud and the love scenes are the perfect blend of sexy and sweet. The secondary characters are well developed and enrich the tale. Unlike some romances, this story features an extremely satisfying ending complete with an epilogue.

I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

Romancing the Undead was a great read and although it is part of a series this book can be read as a standalone. I absolutely loved the first book but this one also did not disappoint. This book gives us Mila and Vincent's story and I enjoyed reading their journey to becoming a couple. Of course, no paranormal read is smooth sailing and this book is no different. Revenge is a strong motivation and anyone in the way becomes fair game. The ending was sweet and I enjoyed it a lot. I definitely look forward to reading more books from this author.

Smoking hot, amazing sexy chemistry. Mila and Vincent have such a fun and charismatic relationship, you can almost feel the stem coming off the page the instant that they met. Mila was on a date with a vampire; the first date with a vampire that did not turn out how she planned it, it brought someone that she did not think she needed into her life though. The words flowed magically off the page and captivated me from beginning to end. Thank you NetGalley and Juliet Lyons for allowing me to read and honestly review this book.

I don't know what it is about a good paranormal romance but they just make me all smiley and happy. I needed a break from plain ol' romance and knew Juliet Lyon's Drop Dead Gorgeous was just what I needed. And I was not wrong. I devoured this book and loved every minute of it. Mila and Vincent were wonderful characters and their relationship was so enjoyable. The supporting cast was just as strong. I could live within this V-Date world for much longer than the three novels that full out the series.
